Downing has been the best player for Liverpool so far. There's a first time for everything.

Liverpool have been so wasteful so far. Not even with shots at goal but often times the final ball in a forward move hasn't come off. Cardiff are defending resiliently and are doing a great job so far. Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll for me are nowhere near the level they can play at, there are other options on the bench and I imagine Bellamy and Kuyt won't be sat down for too long if it continues like this.

I usually like Mowbray but he is pissing me off no end today, just keeps getting things wrong or missing things. He went on for ages at the end of the first half about that header Agger missed but both he and Lawrenson completely missed that the offside flag went up immediately anyway.
