Wrestling Manager?

I'm not involved with any of this, but I found this posted on CAWs by someone new and decided to check out the site. In theory, it looks good, though the character card stuff is quite iffy. After years of seeing people pop up here and say they're going to create the next great simulator and yada yada, I was interested to check this out. Thoughts?

Thanks to the OP for posting this link.

We at WrestlingManagement.com received 108 referrals from this post and we appreciate every single one of them.

I have a couple of questions.

To the guy who thinks it looks boring: What do you think we could do to make it seem less boring? We are open to suggestions.

To the guy who thinks it will never see the light of day: Can I ask why you feel that way? We have 90% of the art work complete (including 600 character cards), we have the full auction system complete, the Match Card maker complete and many other features that are either complete or near complete. We are currently working on the card editor (so you can put yourself or a picture of real wrestlers in the game) then we will start adding the final touches.

^ People just want to be trolls because it makes them feel better about their failed lives.

Looks good.

Thanks.

I don't mind negative feedback, everyones allowed an opinion but it would be good if those that didn't like it could give constructive criticism as to why they didn't like it because maybe some things could be tweaked.

Forgive me, as I can't disclose that info just yet. Some things are out of our control, for example the submission process which could take anywhere from a day to a month. It's a really big game so who ever is testing it on the platform side will need to take a good bit of time. That said, we are pretty much feature complete and then there's a lot of polishing to do. -Will you take Soon as the answer? lol

Because someone like you pops up a couple of times a year. We've been seeing that happen for a decade now. Until we actually see a finished AND working (that is the key part) product most of us just aren't going to believe you. It is nothing personal against you but think of it as the "boy who cried wolf".

One question, will it be on the android market or just the apple store?

Initially it will be released exclusively to the iOS devices but I can say that we have had plenty of requests for an android version and providing we make at least half of the money that we have invested into this project back, we will port it to Android. I'm not sure how long that would take though but the longer it does take, the better the Android release will be because we will bundle any of the iphone patches with it and we do have quite a lot of planned free-patches for the game.

Thanks, I appreciate your honesty.

The game is in production in Dundee, Scotland. If you are in the area, feel free to drop by and check it out for yourself. I assure you that it is a very real product, made by very real developers. The folks we have had working on it so far are all industry vets, having worked on AAA titles like Crackdown, APB, GTA, Lemmings, etc and starting Monday we have one of the developers who worked on Portal joining the team. Believe me when I tell you, folks with them kind of backgrounds aren't cheap or easy to come by. But we are dedicated to releasing this game and it will be out very soon.

Still not convinced that it will release? Fair enough, I guess you'll have to just wait and see. I realise we are the new kids and we have to prove ourselves, all I ask is that you don't write us off just yet.

It's hard to give constructive criticism on something with just screen shots. The pictures look great but will it play great? What modes are missing? etc. We don't know any of that. :)
