Tbh I'm more excited for a Wilson-Ronnie final than I would have been if Selby got there, even if Ronnie is a massive weapon.

This is going badly. I'm also not keen on this Peter Ebdon interview, even though it's archive footage. Just look at Ebdon's Twitter feed to see what sort of things he's into now.

Wilson is playing like he's feeling the pressure of a world final, he's missing a frightening amount of relatively standard pots.

Wilson wins the first of the day, 10-8 now. Kryen needs to win this session 5-4 at least if he's going to win this.

10-8 quickly became 15-8. Wilson needs a miracle.

Wilson will look back on this with a lot of regrets. I think it's safe to say that this is the least impressive O'Sullivan's been in a world final, but Wilson has made it too easy for him. I always knew the day would come when O'Sullivan matched Davis and Reardon, but that doesn't make it any less depressing.

To be fair, it would be the one of the best comebacks in sport history if Wilson can do it. Maybe that's what he's been aiming for .

What an absolute dick move to emphasise "the 31 players who turned up". Just say "all the players" and leave it, don't carry on this ridiculous vendetta against Anthony Hamiltons perfectly valid reason for pulling out.

Ding and O'Sullivan are already out of the UK Championship.

Also, Ronnie O'Sullivan has been nominated for Sports Personality of the Year. It's the first time he's ever made the shortlist, which is quite remarkable. I'd say he's the worst option, but Tyson Fury's on there too.

What an end to the tournament. Robertson won on the final pink in a last frame after midnight. It's a shame that it happened without a crowd, but needs must, I suppose.
