It's frustrating to watch. I feel as though this will be a big opportunity missed, just like Un-Nooh last year.

Ronnie in storming form so far, 3-0 up with two centuries and an 86. The lack of a crowd to play to could help Ronnie the most of anyone, he can just get his head down and play.

EDIT: 8-1 going into tomorrow's session.

Haven't watched much, but did see Ronnie go in off, only for Un-Nooh to miss an easy red to the middle with ball in hand.

Ronnie won 10-1 in the end. Lisowski v McGill is on now, which will be much closer.

Because of corona etc I’ve been watching a few sports I haven’t seen in a while. I think this must be my first time watching snooker in over ten years (it’s weird saying things like that, it makes me feel old). But, wow, Ronnie O’Sullivan’s still pretty good isn’t he?

Ronnie's win was 41 minutes faster than the previous fastest completed World Championship main round match.

It was always going to be a quick match, but that exceeded all expectations.

That was a close match between Lisowski and McGill. I love a good last frame decider.

I enjoyed that. Lisowski did well to pull it back from 9-6 down. 

You can also see the talent of these players when the pressure is off. When Lisowski was getting past the point of frame won, he was making some ridiculous pots whilst bringing safe balls in to play. It's no wonder the pros make a silly amount of maximum breaks in their local clubs.

Mark Allen made five centuries and still lost to Jamie Clarke. That's remarkable.

John Higgins made a 147.

And still lost 13-11 to Kurt Maflin. He'll play either McGill or Clarke in the quarters, so we're guaranteed a qualifier in the semi's.

Yan has really let Trump off the hook, just as Ford did in the first round.

Ding and O'Sullivan are level at 8-8 going into the final session. I'll be gutted if (when) Ronnie edges it.

Today's other highlights included Jamie Clarke and Anthony McGill getting into a quiet argument, Barry Hawkins sitting in the wrong chair and Neil Robertson spilling his coffee on his trousers. Snooker is wild.

O'Sullivan wins and comes across as a knob in his post-match interview. Some things haven't changed.

That all of the new breed of players are "worse than amateurs" and that he would "have to lose an arm and a leg to fall out of the top 50". It's incredibly insulting, unfortunately given how three players of the final 8 all made their tour debut in 1992 (himself, Williams, Higgins) he does have a point that there's not a strong enough group of new players to send the older guys packing.
