Let's Talk About Official Football Songs

I was just thinking about this recently and, it isn't really a thing anymore, but the official World Cup song or FA Cup song or whatever used to be a thing. Let us post and talk of them!

I offer you exhibit A, Ireland's 1990 World Cup anthem Put 'em Under Pressure. It took Dearg Doom by Horselips, the Olé chant, sound clips of Jack Charlton and made a thing of beauty. Look out for a young Chris Hughton!

Can't post it while at work, but Chelsea's 1997 FA Cup Final song (Blue Day by Suggs) is a personal favourite. Certainly better than the 1994 one. 'Blue is the Colour' is fine in its twee kind of way, but sung so often now that it's kind of lost all connection with the 1970 FA Cup.

I can understand why Chelsea haven't done any cup final songs recently though. We'd need a new one every year.

I don't think I'll ever be able to decide between Three Lions and World in Motion. It would be Three Lions, but Barnes rap is iconic. The official songs (for England) since 98 have been dreadful. Even Kammy has let himself down this year
