Doesn't seem to happen to Chelsea managers. I imagine it's one or both of a) it being made clear at the signing of their contract (and perhaps even within the text of the contract) that this can/will happen, or b) it being settled quietly by driving a truck full of money up to the deposed manager's house.

I was expecting this since the CL final. DiMatteo was never expected to be the manager past the end of the season, so at the first signs of a bad performance he would obviously be sacked.
