Best Leonardo DiCaprio Film

Nothing really prompted it, I'm just a huge fan and can't wait for Django Unchained to release, not to mention The Great Gatsby. If you're avoiding Leo movies, you're missing out! Since I never really gave my favorite film, I'll choose Catch Me If You Can, but like someone else said his performance in The Aviator is probably his best to date.

Am also really looking forward to The Great Gatsby. Even before I saw the trailer, I thought he'd make a bloody brilliant Jay Gatsby.

I'm skeptical because I love the book, and I know I can't describe this well, but I felt the book made the story feel quite small and very personal; whereas the trailer makes it seem like it's going to be constnatly extravagant and such, which I don't think suits anything which isn't Gatsby's parties.

I really like Inception of course.

Otherwise I did enjoy The Beach (partially down to an excellent sound track to be fair) and Catch Me If You Can is a really good film too.

Not seen Shutter Island. I expect it would make my list.

Inception, The Departed but his performance in Shutter Island is unbelievable in my opinion

The Departed, Inception, and Gangs of New York would be my top 3. Ask me again in a couple of months and Django Unchained might be up there.

The Departed is just about my favorite movie ever and he is fantastic in it. His best performance "acting" wise is as Howard Hughes in "The Aviator," but his performance in "Catch Me If You Can" is very underrated, as is that movie.

Even though it was a pretty "meh" film, I thought he did a good jon in "J. Edgar."

His best film I would say is Catch Me If You Can (followed closely by Inception) but like others have said his best "performance" was the Aviator.

Having said that, of all those films the one I enjoyed most was probably Blood Diamond.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't seen a Leo film I didn't enjoy - by far and away my favourite actor.
