Nick is in John's region and yeah, he provides air support. I never actually flew with him - that would've been neat.

How DO you use him for that mission? He kept pissing me off every time I died and it restarted the checkpoint he was just going "I'm here to fly if you need me!" or whatever, and I already had him in the air anyway as my sidekick and he was doing basically nothing to the guy. I didn't get what the game was trying to tell me to do.

I ended up just crashing in to John's plane and then waiting around on the ground til his plane burnt out and he ejected. Infuriating mission.
