  1. Did I hear someone mention grind and/or noisecore? 324 Anal Cunt Birdflesh Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus Cephalic Carnage Circle Of Dead Children Citizen Cretin Extreme Noise Terror Gadget Genocide Superstars Insect Warfare Japanische Kampfhörspiele Hewhocorrupts His Hero Is Gone Leng Tch'e Napalm Death (duh) Nasum Oktober Skyline Passenger Of Shit Poppy Seed Grinder Repulsion Rotten Sound Senseless Apocalypse Terrorizer The Day Everything Became Nothing The Excrementory Grindfuckers To Separate The Flesh From The Bones Tusk Venetian Snares Viral Load Wargroover Xanopticon Have fun.
  2. Goatwhore is nice. You could also look at Goatsnake, they're pretty good stoner-y metal. Anyways, my recommendations. First, death/black metal: Skinless - "Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead" Keep Of Kalessin - "Armada" Asmodeus - "Imperium Damnatum" Impaled Nazarene - "Pro Patria Finlandia" Marduk - "Plague Angel" Vital Remains - "Dechristianize" Deicide - "The Stench Of Redemption" Soilent Green - "Confrontation" Napalm Death - "Smear Campaign" and "The Code Is Red... Long Live The Code" Then some stoner/doom/whatever: Om - "Conference Of Birds" Om - "Variations On A Theme" Fireball Ministry "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock" Pelican - "The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw" Have fun.
  3. Do a bit of research before making a silly comment. The Mentors began their career in 1979, and so they couldn't have ripped off Anal Cunt. Besides, the Mentors are actually an accomplished band musically speaking. The lyrics focus on extreme sexual content, but written in a funny and clever way. Anal Cunt doesn't have shit on them.
  4. 1. Napalm Death - Scum 2. Meshuggah - Chaosphere 3. Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw 4. Marduk - Panzer Division Marduk 5. The Berzerker - Dissimulate 6. Summoning - Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame 7. Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come 8. Marduk - Plague Angel 9. Napalm Death - The Code Is Red... Long Live The Code 10. Emperor - Anthems To The Weldkin At Dusk Honorable mentions go to the remains of the respective discographies of Marduk, Napalm Death, Meshuggah, Pelican, The Berzerker, Summoning, Refused, The Hives, Judas Iscariot, and so on and so on until further notice. Block votes: - One for "Master Of Puppets" by Metallica - One for "Number Of The Beast" by Iron Maiden
  5. Hands down, "Infernal Eternal" by Marduk. Crisp choice cuts from their 2002 tour in Europe, it's just amazing pummeling track after track. Nothing sounds muddy or out of synch, but everything works just as beautifully as on the studio albums. Plus it has THE best rendition of "Baptism By Fire" on it.
  6. Well, let's see... We have got a ton of good albums already this year, my personal faves so far including Napalm Death's "Smear Campaign", Summoning's "Oath Bound" and Cattle Decapitation's "Karma.Bloody.Karma". However, my album of the year so far would be "Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead" by Skinless. Great brutal death metal with catchy riffing and precise drumming... And the vocals are just lovable as well. My pick (Y)
  7. Hehe, I like this. Mine are probably going to be all wrong though. Opening Credits: Cowboy Bebop OST - Piano Black (so, an instrumental piece to kick us off. I could see this happening, though I would be expecting to see something more heavy in a story about my life) Waking Up: Deicide - Christ Denied (Well, it's good to affirm your philosophical choices from early on in the morning) First Day At School: Machinae Supremacy - Empire (Well, it wasn't that empirical, to tell you the truth) Falling In Love: Japanische Kampfhörspiele - Alle Wollen Gut Aussehen (Germans are a nice folk) Fight Song: Deicide - Blame It On God (I DIDN'T DO IT OFFICER) Breaking Up: Carnal Forge - Son Of A Bastard (I Smell Like Death) (I'm just gonna stop commenting at this point because it is not funny) Prom: Akira Yamaoka - Music Box Life's OK: Unearth - Lie To Purify Mental Breakdown: Queen - Another One Bites The Dust (BWAHAHAHAHA) Driving: New Bomb Turks - Never Will Flashback: Om - At Giza (Yeah, Egypt is nice too) Wedding: Impaled Nazarene - Phallus Maleficarum (BWAHAHAHAHAHA again) Getting Back Together: Haemorrhage - Aftertaste Of Putrefaction (... Necrophilia much?) Paradise lost : General Surgery - Crimson Concerto Birth of Child: Nasum - Drop Dead (Poor baby, a miscarriage is on the way ) Final Battle: Pro-Pain - All Fall Down (Nice) Death Scene: Propagandhi - Natural Disasters Funeral Scene: Cryptopsy - Orgiastic Disembowelment (Nice, some Aztec shit right there) End Credits: Om - At The Mountain At Dawn (I would've liked for this song to be the main theme, really, but the opening credits are fine with me)
  8. Songs to chill out to: Pelican - "March Into The Sea" Neurosis - "Stones From The Sky" Falkenbach - "For As Long As Winds Will Blow" Songs to make me hyper/happy: The Hives - "Abra Cadaver" Hirano Aya - "Parallel Days" Cowboy Bebop OST - "Time To Know - Be Waltz" Songs to make me aggressive: Marduk - "World Funeral" Marduk - "Everything Bleeds" Behemoth - "Slaves Shall Serve" Songs that make me feel superior: Torture Killer - "Sadistic" Mayhem - "Rape Humanity With Pride" Vital Remains - "Dechristianize"
  9. Did you see the metal-rules list of top 100 heavy metal albums? Now that list is more to my tastes. I didn't count, but I'm positive I own about 3/4 of albums in the list.

  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwEt6doEglA So, deep philosophy about sandwiches or something far more sinister? Discuss!
  12. Ministry, especially the new album "Rio Grande Blood", probably some of their angriest material to date and very cold-sounding thanks to their industrial roots. Corporate Avenger is one of the single most hate-filled bands I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Get your hands on their "Freedom Is A State Of Mind"-album, it is by far the most emotionally loaded album I own. I don't even listen to rap-influenced stuff all that much, but this CD is just something amazing when it comes to defining "pissed-off musicians".
  13. I genuinely wish diseases on you.
  14. Goddamn it, so they're going to stretch the anime too beyond the point of excellence. I swear, I have NEVER seen such a good premise and suspense be destroyed so completely in anime or manga, after it has been succesfully implemented for half of the series. It just boggles my mind.
  15. I have no idea where the Death Note anime will end, but if it ends at about halfway through the manga, it is a good thing. If it goes beyond that, it will start to blow. Similarly, I'd read the Death Note manga up until about halfway through (you'll know when you hit the halfway point when the first storyarc ends) and then forget with the rest as it just destroys the mood and story of the first half. EDIT: And concerning Higurashi, the actual franchise is so much larger than the anime that the full story won't play out by just watching the series. I'm waiting for more groups to get into translating the anime, and someone was actually working on translating the final Higurashi game into English (or dunno about final, but it is going to be the first "happy ending" out of all the Higurashi arcs)
  16. If we are talking about emotionally scarred and brainfucked, then we should be able to mention Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. If you are not afraid of a little thinking and following a plot, then these three titles are excellent choices that should not disappoint.
  17. They've said that they won't add Tyranids because "they wouldn't be able to do them justice". Which sucks
  18. Sounds like Tau are too goddamn cheesy T_T But that's cool, that's cool. What I liked about the original DoW before the latest balancing patches was that it wasn't necessarily always fair for every player. Just adds more challenge to it. Oh well - time to get back to overrunning people's bases with an endless stream of green Orky Boyz! They should have added Tyranids tho.
  19. He certainly is all kinds of throat-cutting badass, I'll give you that.
  20. This is just awesome. AWESOME TO THE MAX. Where has that Machete guy acted before, BTW? He was in The Devil's Rejects alongside DDP, wasn't he? EDIT: Apparently, "Machete" is just a fake trailer that will be featured in the movie. "Planet Terror" is the zombie flick with Rodriquez in the helm, so this trailer doesn't showcase Tarantino's "Death Proof" just yet.
