  1. Pfft, Summers' MySpace is clearly late, I did one of these on mine weeks ago. Now, if I can actually find it... it was a bulletin, not a blog. Bah, it was more than 10 days ago, and my music library's on the other computer. If I was to do it now, it would be a mix of a couple of Toto songs, "Hello" by Lionel Richie, "Battle Metal" and a few wrestling themes. EDIT: I remember a few of them though, it came out really freaky, like birth of child, "Beautiful Son" by Cave In, "Eternal Rest" by Avenged Sevenfold for death scene, "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden for the final battle... or the best one, Team America's "Everyone Has AIDS" for the end credits. There were more good ones as well, I'll maybe do it again later and see if it turns out as good.
  2. George Lynch > *, and I'm so glad I wasn't the first to mention him.
  3. For those of you not in the know, "Man to Man with Dean Lerner" starts on Channel 4 on Friday night, 11:05pm. Awesomeness in televisual form.
  4. One? Fuck, this could take me a while... Right, 4 minutes in, and I think I'm gonna have to go with... nope, still can't. OK, I got it. This may surprise some of you. As much as I love Iron Maiden (so, so much), there is one album that ever so slightly stands out ahead of anything else, and that is Dream Theater's "Train of Thought". It's one of those albums that really needs to be just listened to, it's not something I can just have in the background, when I listen to "Train of Thought", everything else is in the background.
  5. 1. Mila Kunis (fuck the haters with sharp, rusty objects) 2. Maria Kanellis 3. Kelly Clarkson 4. Amy Lee (Evanescence) 5. Fearne Cotton 6. Evangeline Lilly 7. Rachel McAdams 8. Jessica Alba 9. Brittany Murphy 10. Natalie Portman Negatives 1. Lindsay Lohan (with big fucking bells on) 2. Carly Pope (she's meh, but you're all overrating her) 3. Paris Hilton 4. Brooke Hogan 5. Kou's mum
  6. "Permission to Land" was like a greatest hits, they couldn't top anything after that. The second album was more of the same, only not as good. Actually, it was a bit shit. Hell, all they were was a fad anyway, I saw them live on the 04 arena tour and they were crap. I'd forgotten they were even still together, so this isn't worth much to me.
  7. That was absolutely incredible. Seriously, one of the best things I have ever seen. And Lionel Richie was in it too, thus making it even better.
  8. Scotland's first half performance was very similar to the first half against France... and we all know how that turned out
  9. Zombies on a Plane Looks pretty sick, it'll probably be a bit rubbish though.
  10. Original > Dream Warriors > New Nightmare >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The rest. But having said that, I love them all.
  11. Thanks for reminding me how much I miss Albertz, Kraig
  12. YOU FUCKING BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FUCKING LOVE YOU GARY CALDWELL, I FUCKING LOVE EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO PLAYED THEIR ARSES OFF FOR SCOTLAND TONIGHT, I FUCKING LOVE EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE TARTAN ARMY WHO WAS THERE TO CHEER ON THE TEAM TONIGHT, I FUCKING LOVE YOU SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh by the way, Scotland beat France 1-0, just in case you can't tell.
  13. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!!!!! GARY FUCKING CALDWELL I USUALLY HATE YOU BUT TONIGHT YOU ARE A LEGEND! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!! Ahem... sorry about that. But not really.
  14. I was thinking about going to Lordi, but with the news that Stone Sour's sold out, and Turisas supporting, I now must.
  15. Dream Theater - Train of Thought 10/10 - Nuff said. Every track is fantastic from start to finish, this is truly a masterpiece in modern metal. Shinedown - Us and Them 9/10 - Every time I listen to this album, I love it more and more. These guys deserve to be huge, as they are one of the most talented young rock bands out there. The music's great, the vocals are great, the lyrics really tell a story - it all just works. Stone Sour - Come What(ever) May 8.5/10 - Another one that gets better with each listen. It varies from some really heavy metal to some great ballads, and it all flows perfectly. Even better than the debut album, it's just great stuff.
  16. Wow. One of the last names I would have expected, but... I honestly can't imagine how this can be anything but great. I'm a big Iron Man fan, and I've really enjoyed Downey in everything I've seen him in, so I'm now looking forward to this even more than before.
  17. Ugh. Let's hope the rest of the list doesn't make the board's musical tastes look shit.
  18. I'll always love when Vader kills Palpatine in Return of the Jedi more than anything. Another favourite childhood film memory would be when Jennifer talks to the worm in Labyrinth. Can't honestly think of anything else that stands out as much as those two.
  19. In 2001, when I still liked them, I had tickets to go see Blink 182. Due to 9/11, they postponed the tour. Yet Sum 41, who were supposed to be supporting them, came over and played a few shows anyway, so that was good. Then, they just decided to postpone the second tour until further notice for no reason, so Jimmy Eat World, who were to support them, came over and played a few shows, so that was awesome. Then Blink cancelled for no reason. Then the next time they toured, they sucked, so fuck 'em. Another time (2002, I believe), Glassjaw were set to tour, but due to Daryl's Chrons Disease, they postponed it. Then, they added 3 extra dates at the start of the rescheduled tour. They came over, played the 3 extra shows, then he had another relapse, so they had to go home. This happened like 6 hours before the Glasgow show. They always said it would be rescheduled, so hold onto the tickets if you want. I did. They never came back. That's 10 quid I could have used.
