  1. Sadly not, but now I'm sure to be confused when I hear people talking about that band. http://www.myspace.com/theshakesvale That's the stuff right there.
  2. The Shakes? Unless it's not the band I'm thinking of, I know them. Thought Sparky would've told people...
  3. I want to get back into comics after being out of the loop for a couple of years - House of M bored me to tears apart from the Spiderman story, and caused me to give up, and I've therefore missed the Civil War (right?). I'm a Marvel man myself, and I'm preferrably looking for something that's just started/starting, so I can get into it right from the beginning. Any recommendations?
  4. "Fear of the Dark" the first time I saw Maiden is still one of my favourite moments from any concert, I wasn't expecting them to play it, and when the first note was played, damn did the crowd love it. Dave Grohl playing "Everlong" solo when the Foo Fighters headlined Leeds in 05, the chills I got were there the entire song, it was just so hauntingly beautiful. Dream Theater playing "Under a Glass Moon" was just the crowning glory of seeing them on their first night in London on the 20th Anniversary Tour. I knew I was seeing something amazing when at the interval between their two acts, a guy at the bar wearing a t-shirt from their 1993 World Tour said to me "Jesus, that was something special." "The Ballad of Dwight Fry" last time I saw Alice Cooper was the best one I can really remember, it was haunting, rocking and action-packed as you watched what was going on onstage... it was really just, wow. The last one I can actually think of was when Whitesnake played "Is This Love" at Wacken last year, being about 5 rows from the front and a day of drinking really helped, but the atmosphere was just so great that it really did it for me. If I make it back to Wacken this year, I'm sure Iced Earth's entire set will give me a great chill.
  5. Power, every type of games console, a takeaway? What is this, Lost? Albums: Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time (this changes all the time, that's my current Maiden album though) Shinedown - Us and Them Scorpions - Crazy World Alice Cooper - Hey Stoopid Edguy - Rocket Ride Damn, that was hard picking a fifth. Books: Mick Foley - Have A Nice Day Terry Brooks - The Word and the Void (assuming you can get all three books in one) Hunter S. Thompson - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas William Shakespeare - Hamlet JRR Tolkien - Lord of the Rings Video Games: Football Manager 2007 Sonic 3 & Knuckles Total Extreme Wrestling 2005 Takeaway: Mexican
  6. It did seem familiar, I think you're right. EDIT: Wikipedia says:
  7. And the JD mullet does rock. Great episode, even if it did have a couple of contradictions from earlier episodes. Pretty dark, but it was one of those classic ones where the comedy was there too. I think given a few more viewings, it could actually go down as one of the best of the show so far.
  8. I'm a Rangers fan, so I was fine seeing Celtic make it to this stage, but any further and I'd have been unhappy, they'd never have let it go that they did better this year than we did by making history last year. Unlucky Arsenal, lol at Celtic, and congratulations to Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea.
  9. I've been working on an acoustic version of "No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper (from the Rocky IV montage scene), it's been going really well, so I'll put that forward.
  10. Saved my life with his excessive knowledge of Hunter S. Thompson. And is awesome.

  11. Temple of Syrinx = teh awesome.
  12. That was completely insane, I loved it. Possibly one of my favourite lines of commentary ever, from Andy Gray: "Am no sure, but I think maybe Adebayor had something to do with Wayne Bridge lying on the ground."
  13. Last week playing Pro Ev with my mate Dave, who is a MASSIVE Man United fan, and beating him 2-0 with Arsenal, who he absolutely despises. After the match he just sat there for about 10 minutes, grumbling "A fuckin hate Arsenal." It was awesome. I always remember a sense of acheivement the very first time me and my brother beat Sonic 2 and got all 7 emeralds. Now it's nothing though. Sonic 3 & Knuckles with all 14 emeralds? That's the good shit.
  14. MISTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER.... HE-MAN! HE-MAN!
  15. I like a lot of different types of music, but metal's my favourite genre.
  16. Oh my God, Blackman as Skeletor? My life... is complete. Now we need Edge as He-Man
  17. I think we're all missing an important one. Jump.
  18. Bahahahaha, my band's totally fucked, we couldn't even afford to practice this month, and if we don't make money this month, we're done. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
  19. They kill Charlie I'm gonna be pissed. Great episode though, one of the best in quite some time, even with no Sawyer and hardly any Locke. It helps that it was done differently than usual, and that there was no Jack. Desmond = awesome.
  20. I see nothing about it being for Americans only, it just requires putting county and postcode instead of state and ZIP code. Not hard
  21. What the fuck? Your posts! Where did they go?

  22. So Nerf, to answer your question from the other thread, I don't have to, I just want to Season 5's already been run on E4 at least three times BTW
  23. Download it on Friday morning? That's what I always do.
