  1. Glasgow's heavy metal masters Electric River > all of you. I'll actually play it when I've done my English coursework though
  2. Was thinking about going, now not so sure. Yeah it's Maiden, and LP would be fun, but... eh, I dunno, it just doesn't seem like it'll be great. Decide soon enough though.
  3. Mendeed at Wacken? Fucking hell, I kinda know them. Wish I could go, mainly for Iced Earth, but hopefully they'll be doing Download.
  4. Any Buck 65 would be recommended. A lot of Iron Maiden and Dream Theater include great lyrics too.
  5. Hot damn, I used to love Crowded House back in the day. I even took a lot at their Best Of in Virgin earlier on. If they play in Glasgow and it's not too expensive, I'll consider going.
  6. You mean "Mr Scary"? *thumbs up* That's a damn good one.
  7. "Freebird" obviously, but I'll put "Mr Crazy" by Dokken (George Lynch) as one of my favourites.
  8. Would someone mind telling me how in the hell Jack Nicholson didn't even get fucking nominated for best supporting actor for The Departed? Seriously, I loved that film and he was the best thing in it by far. Wahlberg impressed me (mainly because I didn't realise he was such a good actor), but not to the extent that he should be nominated for several awards ahead of Nicholson. And I liked The Black Dahlia
  9. I actually have my SD2 disc lying around somewhere, I doubt it'll still be playable but hot damn do I wanna give it a shot, I'm on a nostalgia trip now. Man, having the ultimate tag team of Wolf (awesome CAW) and Test, Wolf holding the WWF and European Championships, Test holding the Intercontinental and Hardcore, and they were the Tag Team Champions as well. That owned on so many levels. Although that one exhibition title defense where we lost the straps to Kai En Tai was slightly embarrassing... Here Comes The Pain > * though, I've never been able to replicate the Wolf CAW from that in any of the later games. I'll always have fond memories of the feud with Vince where you get fired. Another amusing memory of that, as Sean O'Haire in season mode, Kevin Nash challenges me for the title at Summerslam, saying he knows "we'll have one of the finest wrestling matches of all time". Yeah, don't think so Kev.
  10. Oh my God. That is fantastic. I want one, now.
  11. Wait... if Patrick Stewart is Picard AND Xavier... are they space twins?
  12. I'm still a little shocked at this, but I'm happy in a bittersweet way just now. I don't think he was the right man for the job, and it's clear that he didn't have the support of the fans, or even a lot of the players. I'm not sure what else to say just now, but I think the only way is up now.
  13. I have to disagree with a few of them. 'Enter Sandman' is Metallica to the majority of people, myself included even if it's not my favourite song of theirs. I'd also point out 'Hearts on Fire' and 'Battle Hymn' as my choices for Hammerfall and Manowar respectively. A lot of it's subjective and can be down to the first song you heard by a band. That's why 'I Died For You' and 'Colony' are my signature songs for Iced Earth and In Flames respectively.
  14. The Vandals do a good one called "Christmas Time For My Penis".
  15. If he was gonna do that, the least he could have done was made her nekkid
  16. I went last year and it was absolutely fanstastic. However, it doesn't look like I'll be able to make my way over this year. 2008 looks the likely bet for my next Wacken journey. I'd love to see Blind Guardian, Bullet, In Flames, Lacuna Coil and Stratovarius, and if Iced Earth play then hot damn I'd love to go, but unfortunately it doesn't look likely.
