I watched the repeat of the Botswana episode. It was awesome. Almost as good as the Vietnam one.

I read this fairly interesting article on the paper that speculated upon the possibility that the Beatles didn't break up and recorded one further album. Basically it just compiled songs by all four members roundabout that time. So I thought it would be interesting to do our own final Beatles album. So yeah stick to songs by all four members released soon after they broke up. 1. My Sweet Lord (George Harrison) 2. Too Many People (Paul McCartney) 3. Maybe I'm Amazed (Paul McCartney) 4. Jealous Guy (John Lennon) 5. Love (John Lennon) 6. Smile Away (Paul McCartney) 7. All Things Must Pass (George Harrison) 8. If Not For You (George Harrison) 9. Working Class Hero (John Lennon) 10. Teddy Boy (Paul McCartney) 11. Every Night (Paul McCartney) 12. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey (Paul McCartney) 13. Back Seat of My Car (Paul McCartney) 14. What Is Life? (George Harrison) So that's four by Harrison, three by Lennon and seven by McCartney. Which is about right as McCartney is as good as Lennon and Harrison put together.

I've changed my mind. It's actually really good. Nowhere near as good as it was live but a good song. The album as a whole is actually pretty good. Of course, being the View there are going to be shit bits but it's mostly confined to one song. Oh and I can't be too nasty about them because I'm friends with the bassist. Outlaw Pete is actually one of my least favourite songs on the album. Still good though.

I downloaded the View's new album, purely because when I saw them live(free ticket ) their new song "One Off Pretender" was by far the highlight of their set. I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying it is brilliant. Studio version's shit though. I think it was the energy of the song that I liked more than anything. Shouty Scottish rap doesn't translate to record very well it seems.

Of all the pieces of armour to choose, they choose one that covers your foot? Pathetic. If your naming yourself after armour(why would you do that?) Cuirass should be your component of choice. Breastplate if you will.

The new Bruce Springsteen album is awesome.

I want to go! Pity nobody else will. Springsteen & McCartney though.

One of our local ministers used "Secret Crowds" to soundtrack a powerpoint presentation. That was unexpected. Oh and I actually thought the trailer was quite good. It was the cover of the album I hated. And the album itself of course. >_>

Well I first heard blink when I was 9, right about the time Enema... came out. My parents didn't really listen to the content of the songs you see. My dad actually quite liked them whenever I played the CD too.

I'm stunned. I mean, they weren't doing brilliantly but I think that's more down to them having a markedly weaker team than Liverpool or Man United. This seems to have come from nowhere as well.

This does appear to be good news. However, I am a bit worried by it. I just really, really hope they haven't all turned shit. Which seems a distinct possibility, especially in Tom Delonge's case.

Gaslight Anthem had a better setlist when I went to see them. No Frank Turner though. I am going to see Dananananananaykroyd(or whatever...) at the Arches. good times.
