do you need to swear so much?
  4. I can't stand rugby league. Though I suppose it would be more appropriate if I said "I can't understand rugby league."
  5. Ben Folds Five Oh and the Miles Davis band of the "Kind of Blue" era. Regardless of any number of deaths. Busted.
  6. I really enjoyed the game. Unfortunately it was interrupted at 9 o'clock due to my flatmates voting in favour of Mission Impossible 3. :@
  7. Excellent shout for "Respect" back there. Pretty much every X-Factor winner's song ever. Steve Brookstein was not the original performer of "Against All Odds". He just sang the definitive version. >_>
  8. I love Ryan Adams so much that I burst into tears at the mere mention of his name.
  9. Lead vocalist of which provided vocals for Belgian band dEUS who are quite possibly the most famous Belgian act in the UK, with the exception of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH-wuTV8TnY
  10. I lost count of the number of times I heard "huge Jeff Buckley fans" saying that Alexandra Burke covered "Jeff Buckley's hallelujah". In fact, you might remember the get Jeff Buckley to number one facebook group which seemed to be of the opinion that was the case until someone pointed out otherwise. They were pretentious idiots anyway. When I was younger I thought Jimi Hendrix was the writer of "All Along The Watchtower" for some time. "You Raise Me Up". It wasn't Westlife OR Josh Groban. grrrr! Burning Down The House. Talking Heads, not Tom Jones. Although I actually quite like the Tom Jones version too. Birdland was originally by Weather Report. Not those rubbish people that added lyrics.
  11. In Glasgow? I'm going for the student radio thing. Oh and I forgot about Springsteen tickets, despite me talking about it all week to my friends. I'm not going to pay £165 for the only other available ones. Never.
  12. Is it impossible to get the proper Japan team on the game?
  13. Do you like So Damn Happy hobo? I do. I mean both the song and the accompanying live album.
  14. ...sounds like a song that would soundtrack a tom & jerry episode. as is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMGG2s_UWms
  15. All this time I never even knew I was in the club.

    Bright Eyes

The main reason I love Bright Eyes so much is that they are just one of those bands that carries memories for me. I'm sure the rest of you know what I mean by that. I have so many good memories of happy times and Bright Eyes seems to be the soundtrack to a great deal of them which is a significant reason why I love them so much. That might sound like total rubbish but I hope somebody gets what I'm going on about.
  18. Don't get me wrong, I do love Ringo. It's just that he was a total failure post Beatles.
  19. Loudon Wainwright is smashing. I'm not sure if I prefer him to Rufus as I love both. I love "So Damn Happy". The live version especially. I smile every time I listen to it. "Hard Day On The Planet" is amazing too. Generally I love everything he has done.
  20. I am so jealous of you.

    Bright Eyes

I think we should discuss them because they are the 3rd best band ever and really do not get the mentions they deserve. My favourite Bright Eyes album is probably "Cassadaga" which is as you may know their most recent effort. I like all of their albums though of course. My favourites would be Cassadaga > I'm Wide Awake It's Morning > Fevers & Mirrors > Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil Keep Your Ear To The Ground They also do Landlocked Blues(also known as One Foot In Front Of The Other) which is one of my favourite ever songs. As is "Lua", "Soul Singer In A Session Band", "The City Has Sex", "You Will. You?Will. You? Will. You?Will.", "I Must Belong Somewhere" and "Noone Would Riot For Less". Please don't talk about Art Garfunkel here eh?
  23. I think I should add the only Ringo Starr solo song I know is "You're Sixteen". After hearing that I don't have any great desire to pursue his solo career any further.
