  1. I bought it last night, its alright, there are some good songs, nothing great, not better then his last album, but its not like I was thinking he could top it.
  2. List is old, but I rediscovered it, and remember why I hated it in the first place.

Rolling Stone sucks. Its sad because well they are suppose to be the preimere magazine of rock...or at least they use to be, but even back then they trashed some of my favourite albums. This is a real or more close to who I would put in the top 10.(NO ORDER) Jimi Hendrix: Influential. Eric Clapton: Clapton is god, or he was untill Hendriz came along.. Jimmy Page: Very influencial and very good. Eddie Van Halen: You can not deny his abiltites on a guitar. Angus Young: One word, amazing... and one of the most influential Yngwie Malmsteen: Metal todays owes Malmsteen, big time. Brain May: Do I need to explain? Ritchie Blackmore: Two words RAINBOW RISING. Toni Iommi: Nothing Beats his skills. Peter Townshed: Among the greats I would throw mentions in here too Jason Becker Zakke Wylde Kirk Hammet David Gilmour Alex Lifeson Peter Frampton(He gets aboslutly no credit for what he did) So who do you think are the greatest guitarists, and what do you think of the list?
  4. Winning Eleven Eight: 9.5/10 The Best sports game period.
  5. I loved the Star Wars Trilogy, E.T., and Jurassic Park
  6. I don't mind, because no matter what this is Zelda, and Nintendo never screws up Zelda. Wasn't Ocarina of Time delayed too?
  7. Looks quite good, hopefully this will make me forget that Jamie Foxx was in Stealth.
  8. Anyone know where I could get a very good Boxing simulator(freeware or not)?
  9. When McNamara argues that Kennedy was rational, Kruschev was rational, Castro was rational, and that the world was only minutes away from nuclear annihilation, and that we were saved by simple luck, I felt as if I had been punched in the stomach. And I realized for the first time that, sometime, someplace, somehow, mankind will destroy itself. It's inevitable. As he later says, "You can't change human nature." McNamara comes across as very bright, and seemingly quite honest. He admits that had the U.S. lost WWII, he and Curtis LeMay would have been tried as war criminals. How many powerful men have gone on record saying that they are guilty of war crimes? The movie is astonishing if for only that admission. Okay, he fudges a bit, rationalizes his actions, but still its a remarkable moment. Would Henry Kissinger ever say such a thing? This is a must see film for any student of history or power. Only negative: the abrupt, MTV style jump cuts which only make things more difficult to follow. 8/10
  10. I was meh on Pink Floyd, but I saw the light....I became Comfortably Numb, and then I listened to more Floyd and now they are my 2nd favourite band.
  11. I'm also glad that GoF got the PG-13 rating. It won't deter kids from going to see the movies (see box office returns from Revenge of the Sith, Spider-man, and a bazillion other PG-13 movies), and it means we won't get the content dumbed down. This is my 2nd most anticipated film after Revenge of The Sith, and I can't wait to see my favourite book of the series in the big screen.
  12. I voted for GBA SP, but as for the answer between DS and PSP, I choose DS...mainly because of Wario Ware touched!. Simple, yet addictive.
  13. So.... we have all heard the classics... the ultimates.... the defining songs that make you wanna grab a Gibson and sign up for lessons.... But what are greatest guitar riffs? The ones that make you remember the song, and never forget it. Please write in your choice, as well as an honorable mention For me Kashmir and Black Dog by Led Zeppelin come to mind. Jimmy Page has written so many great riffs it's hard to remember them all off hand. The godfather of the almighty riff has to me Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath, though. Come on, Iron Man has to be the best ever. I think the guy creating the best guitar riffs in recent memory is Tom Morrelo of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave. Know Your Enemy and Guerilla Radio are instant guitar classics. I also think that Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple joins the rest as the greatest riffs ever. Blackmore is a genius. "Sunshine of your love" by Cream (clapton) also kicks ass.
  14. Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut(Gamecube): 4/10 Man, Sonic games this gen really tend to suck. Horrible camera, and confusing level designs, and the graphics doesn't look half bad, but aren't that good either. Next time, I picking the game to borrow, not my brother
  15. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets: 6.5/10 Unlike most Harry Potter fans I know(excluding this board), I think the third is vastly superior then the first two films, and am eagerly anticipating the Goblet Of Fire with Newell at the helm.
  16. The Sixth Sense: 8.5/10 IMOShamalans best.

    Book Thread

I've just finished Mary Shelly's Classic Frankenstein....and it was a great book, although more complicated then I thought it was. Its a shame how the actual monster is portrayed in popular culture.
  18. Taxi Driver: 9/10 A brilliant film on the study of Evil. Taxi: 3/10 Laughed once, and that was at the end....after the credits.
  19. Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarintino, Martin Scorscese, Clint Eastwood, Tim Burton, and Cameron Crowe(although Vanilla Sky could be a long piss break). Even though Crowe's films might not add up to 24 hours I wouldn't mind Almost Famous taking up the extra time.
  20. Robbie Williams Bryan Adams Kelly Clarkson Destiny's Child Blink 182
  21. Resident Evil 4 getting no awards makes me fear the casual gamer even more.
  22. I hope the studio's will learn from this....most likely they won;t, but Stealth does look horrible and probably did deserve to flop. As for The Island, some people said it was good, others said it was bad, I might catch it in theatres. As for the good movies doing good, which I say is 100% true this summer season.....especially for the biggest movie of the summer- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith
  23. They make us laugh, sometimes so hard that they make us cry. There's nothing better then knowing after watching the same film over 10 times, you still find it funny. So what are your favourite films of laughter? My favourite's are Airplane!( A masterpiece in the comedy genre), The Naked Gun Series, and Dumb and Dumber. (By the way Wedding Crashers was great! ) Another thing Leslie Nielson> *
