  1. The first day did not fair well for me...but luckily no one major from my bracket has been taken out yet...of the teams that lost that I had winning, only Alabama I believe did I have going further than the second round, and I think I had them losing in the third anyway. So while I didn't have the best of first days, there's still hope. Some games had me worried...Wake Forest and Illinois both had barely a lead at halftime..things could have been much worse for me than they were. Go Duke tomorrow!
  2. Vegas Vacation - 6.5/10 Casablanca - 9/10 Man on Fire - 7.5/10
  3. Being from ACC Country, I realize they got some good teams...but I'd say its pretty risky putting two ACC teams in the finals just because of the odds. That being said, I have Duke and UNC in the Final Four just because for how huge a game that would be and considering how huge their rivalry is...with them having never met in the NCAA Tournament...it has to happen someday. I hope its this year.
  4. Be Cool - 4/10 At one point I was really looking forward to this movie because I am a fan of most of the cast. So I really wanted to like this movie, but kind of like in EWR when you get one of those shows that don't click...this movie is kind of like that. And the way they dubbed in the singing really bothered me because Millian's singing sounded way too studio enhanced when she was simply singing at a piano. And being a big Vaughn fan, even his character got more annoying than funny in some parts. There just aren't any real laugh out loud moments in the movie (although I did laugh at Vaughn in the end). Overall its a pretty boring and forgettable movie. As a side note, besides the obvious reference with the Travolta/Thurma dance sequence, I did spot some other Pulp Fiction references, mainly since I just watched it on Monday.
  5. Let's see what I've watched lately and see if I can remember it all. Citizen Kane - 9/10 Called the best film ever by most, and I agree that it was good...of course to say its the best film ever I would have to watch every film ever to judge...so until then it gets a 9/10 with a very high recommendation. The Italian Job - 6.5/10 (the recent remake) Never saw the original, but this one was pretty good. Reminded me of Ocean's 11 with their plotting and such...not a great movie but a good movie to get comfy on your couch and watch with some popcorn. School of Rock - 6/10 Good clean fun for the most part. Pulp Fiction - 9.5/10 Believe it or not I had not seen this movie yet...I mean I have been meaning too...but I dunno, I just never had the chance. Well once I did, I made sure to take the chance and its a good thing I did. Going to see Be Cool today...I had been looking forward to the movie but after seeing all the bad reviews it has gotten, I'm worried.

  8. 1. Drea De Matteo 2. Maggie Grace (Shannon from LOST) 3. Kate Winslet 4. Charlize Theron 5. Vanessa Carlton 6. Hilary Swank 7. Jessica Alba 8. Allison Mack 9. Amy Lee 10. Erica Durance Negatives -Hillary Duff -Gwen Stefani
  9. I'm in as Dickie V's Number One Fan. I'll be routing on my Dukies even though this year hasn't been ther year. They've had to deal with injuries and such all season when they didn't have a great line-up to begin with. But as long as they have Coach K they always have a shot. Illinois looks good, but I don't think any team can go an entire season undefeated. Boston College is so overrated it's not even funny. Dunno who I like in to win it all right now...probably UNC or Kentucky.
  10. I'm pretty sure that's the one Bridgette Crosby has. She busted that guy out of prison with the stone. Is she evil? Or is she mainly hanging on to it to protect it? ←
  11. At first I thought the whole witch thing was pretty stupid and too far out there, but then it is a show based on a comic book character with different meteor freaks every week...so I guess it's not too much of a stretch. The whole storyline has grown on me a little bit now and I actually liked the last episode. Lionel is still probably my favorite character despite his "changed" ways...although I have my doubts about him. As for the three stones...Clark has one correct? And now Lana has one. Was what was used earlier in the season to transfer Lionel and Clark one of the three stones? Or is it still yet to be found.

    "Git R Done!"

Of all of the guys on BCCT, I hate Larry the Cable Guy the most and I find the phrase Git R Done to be extremely annoying, especially when all the people in my town like to say it because they think they're rednecks. Ron White is easily my favorite, while I've always enjoyed the Here's Your Sign gimmick of Bill Engvil more than the You Might Be a Redneck one from Jeff Foxworthy.
  13. Ok let's see if I can remember all the movies I saw in the past week. Dodgeball: 8/10 - still love every minute of it. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: 8.5/10 - Ok so I only caught some of it, but I've seen it a couple times before...the only thing I don't really like about this movie is how the ending drags on for a long time. Little Nicky: 5.5/10 - Good, but not one of my favorite Adam Sandler flicks. Ghostbusters: 9/10 - One of my all time favorite movies. Johnson Family Vacation: 2/10 - Ugh. My Girl 2: 4/10 - Too sappy for my tastes. Doc Hollywood: 6/10 - Being a Michael J. Fox fan, it is surprising that I hadn't seen this movie before. 39 Steps: 7.5/10 - Gotta love Hitchcock. I think that covers everything.
  14. I'm in the Yahoo league... J-Dubble Play going all the way!
  15. Call me crazy, but Super Mario Bros is actually a guilty pleasure of mine...I know it's not a great movie, but I enjoy it for some strange and deranged reason. I can't explain it really... Mortal Kombat: Annihilation definitely ranks up there of the worst although the original Mortal Kombat was decent enough. But Annihilation was just horrible... One game to film adaptation that really disappointed me was Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within or whatever it was called. When I heard Square was making a Final Fantasy movie I was pretty excited since I am a big fan of the games, but the movie just didn't meet my expectations. I wouldn't rank it as bad as Annihilation, but I never expected as much from Annihilation as I did Final Fantasy.
  16. I shall not be denied! Take a look
  17. New season starts in a couple of weeks doesn't it? At least I know I saw a commercial of him promoting a new season of it the other day on Fox, but then again...they could have changed their minds in an instance...so I'm not sure. ←
  18. Off the top of my head my list would be: -Andy Richter Controls the Universe (FOX) -Fastlane (FOX) -Push, Nevada (ABC) -Boston Public (FOX) -Titus That's all I can think of right now. I really liked Fastlane especially and was very upset to see it go after only one season.
  19. The Haunting - 0/10 This "horror" movie doesn't even come close to any scares...in fact fear is most likely the only emotion you will not feel while watching it. Boredom? Yes. Your intelligence drop? Yes. And a feeling of wasting two hours of your day? Yes. I've seen it before, and I'm not quite sure why I even bothered to watch it again.
  20. Coach Carter - 5.5/10 Two things I like about this movie: Samuel L. Jackson's delivers another good performance and that the actors are the ones actually playing basketball (although I'm not sure if it reigns true the entire movie). Two Things I don't like: It's long and feels longer than it is...I felt like it could have delivered the message it was going for without making it as long as it was. And the other thing is that besides Jackson, the rest of the performces were meh at best, and in my opinion: Ashanti should stick to singing.
  21. Psycho - 8/10 Gotta love the classics and this is definitely one of them. This, of course, would be the original - not the remake, which I am yet to see.
  22. I saw the previews and thought it looked mildly interesting, but it wasn't enough to take me away from the Duke game...but if it's as crappy as I am now hearing it is, I probably won't even bother with reruns or future episodes. I'll just stick with Lost, Smallville, and Joey as my TV shows.
