No, because I don't care the tiniest amount about international football. The World Cup is still enjoyable, but not to the point of emphasising it over the Premiership. Boxing Day football is one of my favourite times of year, and I really enjoy being able to watch games during the relaxing holiday period. I don't really care if they take a week or so off, but not over Christmas or New Year. Let them have a couple of weeks off before that and build up the anticipation for the festive schedule.

I don't really know much about the backstage machinations of Veronica Mars, but I'm guessing the lack of Mac is for budgetary reasons. Last season Wallace was gone for a whole load of episodes, presumably to shave the budget, and I think that's what's going on here. With the season being divided up into 3 mini-mysteries, it might seem sensible to essentially leave Mac out of the first one (or even, I'm worrying, the first two) and then give her a prime part in the other(s).

They're already up to third, only a point behind the leaders. Though there are 6 teams within a point of each other at the, Juve are in better form considering their points deduction. It's fairly disgusting to see them essentially returning to their old position after one season. They lost good players, sure, but they seem to have got market prices for them. They'll have lost money from one year in the CL, but it certainly seems as if they have a chance of assembling a team that can challenge for the Scudetto next year. All these contributes to the feeling that Italian football is still monstrously corrupt, which is why there is so much hostility to Juve.

As a reference, I've seen quite a lot of the Japanese Naruto and FMA and a smattering of Bebop, but wasn't even close to considering them for this list. I reckon that the fraction of people on these boards that have come across enough anime to think about putting them on a list of 'Best TV Shows' will be relatively small.

That happens. More than once I've been cruising through FM whilst distracted or drunk and signed a player who didn't get a work permit. They just sit there with their 'WP' indicator and rot, collecting their wages all the time. Those smug bastards.

Yup, I just got finished and am mostly ambivalent. I hated Teatime's voice all round, and that was the major off-putting moment. A lot of it was over-acted, but that's to be expected in something that has to appeal to the kids as well. Some good performances from Ridcully and a few others more than balanced it out. I found Death's image a little too stylised and comic-y for my liking, but the rest of him was perfect. Nobbs was perfect too, and that was a nice little cameo. The fact that Tony Robinson was in it was perfect, wouldn't have been right otherwise. All-in-all, I wasn't that impressed, but it wasn't disappointing. Probably one of my least favourite Pratchett stories in any case, but they managed to be faithful to it.

Looks interesting, for sure. I'm inherently suspicious of interface alterations, but they way they describe it sounds interesting. The improved load times jump out at me too, definitely something that needed improving. Doesn't seem like there are that many sweeping changes, but they probably weren't needed.

Meh, the fact that Styles and Joe were involved in the process doesn't really assuage any of my Midway fears. It's not like a wrestling game developer has never had access to gamers, or wrestlers before - and I doubt that the addition of any two opinions really makes much difference to the game. Will be interesting to see the first actual gameplay videos, this one was absolutely pointless. The game is supposed to be released late 2007/early 2008 to whomever asked.

The size of the moon in relation to the waves confuses me, especially considering how close it is to the surf. Otherwise, awesome stuff. Very nice work on the wolf-woman, though it stands out from the background a little much. I like the composition a lot

From my experience, you've got to accept a lot of 'didn't seem to be listening' responses, or you get something worse. I still haven't quite mastered when to use the HT option of 'encourage the team,' since it seems to piss off my players more often than not. I just stick to the formula of 'tell your team they can win this match!' then at HT, 'declare yourself pleased' and the same at the end of the match. Occasionally throw in the odd 'tell your team you expect them to win' (because I'm a strong side in my current game) and that seems to freshen things up. Definitely one of the weakest modules at the moment.
