  1. Another tiny point, but it sort of confuses my eyes that the lines of text on the back cover aren't central within the borders. Other than that and the other points, very nice work.
  2. Well the SI forums are down(ish). Anyone who's been a fair bit through the game: have West Ham had a takeover, and if so - did Pardew get the sack? I'm managing them, and frustrated by the £1.8M transfer budget. Terry Brown is listed as 'Willing to Listen to Offers' but I'm worried I'll get the sack if a new board came in. I left myself as an 'unknown' when I started, hoping it won't cost me.
  3. Go to the 'Player Interaction' section of the younger player, then 'Linked Player' at the very bottom. It doesn't appear for some more established young players, which is a bit frustrating.
  4. If they keep adding characters, they'll really have to wield the axe and kill off a few more people this series. I hope they have some kind of cataclysm - nobody dying after the Hatch explosion was a bit of an anti-climax (even if I didn't want to lose any of the related characters.)
  5. This needs to come out for 360 sooner rather than later
  6. Locke uses txtspeak and can't spell 'guard'
  7. Things I liked: 1. Ando and, to a lesser extent, Hiro 2. Stiletto heel to the HEAD threat 3. All-around good acting Things I didn't like: 1. More lame, cliched voice-overs 2. Claire's repeated improbable injuries 3. I still don't buy the 'mutations cause specific, familiar super-powers' concept. Overall, I'm watching in the hope that the pretext changes. I absolutely hate the mentions of evolution as they have no basis in reality - if they want to create a logical explanation for super-powers, random genetic mutation isn't sufficient. I hope the writers pull a swerve and prove the Sureshes wrong.
  8. No, but you need to download an update from Live, which can be done with a Silver account.
  9. On that note, when I bought my 360 just after release, the shop owner said he'd been using normal rechargeably batteries with no ill-effects. I thought it was odd that he'd deprive himself of a sale, but at least he was probably honest. Has anyone had any experience of this themselves?
  10. I don't think anything in Lost is 'obvious' - especially since it didn't happen on camera. Personally, I think the fact that he landed on Jin's car is a little too random to be true - or at least, it implies there's more to the suicide than 'I can't have Sun so I'm going to kill myself.'
  11. Read the thread! That's not something I wanna know. I loved the first episode and after watching it again I'm pretty sure that Jack's patient isn't Zeeke/Tom - though they look a little similar. I'm waiting for more Eko soon - he and Locke interacting were the best part of last season's close for me.
  12. Are there any good decent female goalkeepers? I haven't seen any from the 3/4 games or highlights I've watched. Presumably the goals are the same size, so that's what causes it.
  13. By the end of the game there can be more than paedophilia involved with Mission...
  14. Yeah - I'm the same and this came across as more 'Make a Move' than 'Megalomaniac.' It's growing on me though, it's just the second part of the intro that irritates me now. Decent song, hope it isn't representative of the album though, I liked the complexity of the last album.

    Disturbed..

Since the smoking ban started up here all clubs smell of farts and B.O. anyway.
  16. Bah, Abramahmovic just bought fucking Abidal - obviously unsatisfied by Dani Alves, Anton Ferdinand and Theo Walcott. Now I've got Ashley Cole, Bridge and Abidal for left back. Bye bye Wayne
  17. Can't even remember which game it was in, but the best part of being dark side is using your powers to make guys to jump to their death in that floating city. Nice helpful post there
  18. I heartily agree on the two shows you mention. I was massively disappointed while watching Vanished and haven't bothered to watch the second or third episodes. Kidnapped was better than it on the basis of the pilots and I'd imagine it'll stay that way. I was also pleasantly surprised by Justice. I'm normally not a fan of procedural dramas at all, but the legal spin on this (as well as the awesome Victor Garber) pleasantly surprised me. I was also genuinely left guessing as to whether the suspect was guilty - and the end-of-episode revelation will be a great selling point.

    Nintendo Wii

The original gamecube cost £129 at launch IIRC - wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Wii at £150 given inflation - there's an overpriced PS3 on the way to put things into perspective.
  20. And also it's at a place called Cuckoo Farm?
  21. Learn to barre Seriously, with the F handshape down pat you've got everything you need for drunken guitar playing. I started playing Spanish guitar and moved into strumming so I'm not the best to give you chord advice - presumably Tenacious D is a bit cliche if you're wanting to play to others? Good stuff to learn in any case, there are a lot of easy parts.
  22. Try a quarter of the price...
  23. I'm doing the same as you mate, as a Hammers fan it's a joy Done a reasonable bit of transfer business but I still want to re-inforce my first eleven. I also bought Davenport for 1M, as well as Jimenez - a snip at 2.5M, Kisliy and V. Hleb for 250K and 400K respectively, Paul Anderson from Liverpool for 400K and a couple of youngsters - Digard and Buonanotte for a total of 250K. Excess of so-so strikers caused me to sell Zamora for 4.5M + about 1.5M future fees to Hearts, and I'm looking to dump Bowyer for his 4M release and Benayoun for 5M if possible. Mullins won't sign a new contract so he'll probably be heading out the door on a free, along with Dailly and Sheringham () Playing with a midfield diamond's forced me to retrain Reo-Coker as an AMC and it's working pretty well, even if he hasn't scored as many as I liked. That's more than made up for by the fact that Tevez has scored 35 goals before the new year, including 6 at home to Arsenal! In January now and I'm looking to re-inforce the defense, particularly at RB, and get some free transfers in for the summer. With Bowyer and Benayoun probably on the out I need some quality in midfield and Gasbarroni has agreed a free transfer deal at reasonable wages. I'm awaiting a work permit for Sergio Aguero which is bound to be approved ... Tevez and Aguero up fron next season? Only if I don't get a £65M+ bid for Tevez from Chelsea. I'm eyeing up Fred as a likely replacement if that happens. Have another yound Argentinian coming in on a free transfer, Depetris - who's been good for me in a previous game, I'm hoping Weegie didn't nix him... I'm sitting third in the league after 20 games, behind Chelsea in first (only conceded 8 goals, 3 of them at Upton Park) and Man U. I've scored 15 goals more than any other team, but conceded more than any in the top 6. I am loving this update, so awesome
  24. The Wii is the party console, that's how Nintendo are promoting it. Their stated aim at the beginning of development was to recreate the game arcade in the home - seeing how various hardware types were able to attract different gamers; and how most people enjoy competing with others 'in the flesh'. With the DS they've managed to lure in all kinds of demographics that aren't typical gamers - namely girls and over-30s. Now the Wii's technology means they can create intuitive games based on anything they want, be it painting, cooking or conducting an orchestra. That's why the price is so low, really - so marginal gamers can still be attracted. EDIT: Yeah ... uh ... and that's bad for the PS3 btw.
