  1. I haven't even completed the first level, but if it helps, the word 'immitation' has replaced 'simulation' in the description at the top.
  2. US Office is a very, very good sitcom. UK Office makes me want to cry and quit my job.
  3. Ugh, the two Office versions absolutely have to be separated. Arrested Development far too low
  4. Yup, definitely Uplink. Awesome game, I'm going to have to try and find it and give it another play.
  5. Read the rules you muppet. The forums are for sharing opinions with other people, not randomly posting whatever comes into your head when you happen to read a thread. Do you have e-Tourette's?
  6. See, I'm a West Ham fan and I'm pretty happy with the decision. The players over-achieved last season because they got off to a good start and had the underdog status. I'm sure more than a couple of them were hoping for transfers to bigger clubs too. This season, they're been abject, lacked confidence and hardly even looked like they wanted to play outside of the Arsenal game. Lack of motivation when the talent's there? That's all on the manager I'm afraid. Pardew hardly lit up East London when he led us to 6th place in the Championship - last season was the blip, unfortunately.
  7. Something like 95% of civil cases in the US never make it to trial anyway, so this'll probably be settled.
  8. Did you read the article? Yes they did, and they won. Seems to me that this company probably has very good reason to file the lawsuit. They filed their patent application in 1997, clearly pre-dating the Wii. The reason they wouldn't complain when the remote was revealed was because they wouldn't have access to the product itself, or the designs. One trigger is not inherently the same as the other, and they would have to look at the mechanics of the product to see whether their patent was infringed. Their loss of earnings would also be suffered from the fact that Nintendo would otherwise have had to license from this company.
  9. Some Man U fans I know were claiming that there was some kind of agreed fee in place for a figure of around £1M. Almost certainly a good deal for Everton if it's true.
  10. I've just got a trial of this and am going to go hell for leather for the weekend on it, with no intention of ever forking over money. a) Is this unlikely to happen? b) Any suggestions for how to start things off? EDIT: Blizzard's woeful organisation with regards to the trial has pissed me off unbelievable. Uninstalled, and they can forget any chance of getting my money
  11. They're 360-only. Every game has a set of tasks you can achieve that give you a gamerscore, out of 1000 for completely exhausting the game.
  12. I don't think so. You can't really compare relative skill in a given sport to relative skill in another, it's a case of apples and pears. And the second sentence might be true, but that's because everyone runs. Not everybody ice skates.
  13. No matter the sport? What a bizarre thing to say.
  14. I also have a soft spot for Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle where he flicked the ball behind the defender, spun around the other side and side-footed the ball past the keeper. It's on the compilation I posted earlier.
  15. Oh god I miss Le Tiss There's no fucking way Ronaldinho's goal is the best ever, van Basten's bicycle kick was far better than that. My personal favourite might well be Mendieta's volley from a corner, or Seedorf's insane 45 yard scorcher. Here's a collection of the best, with lots of Maradona.
  16. I despised this episode. Tacky, manipulative and utterly artificial. The only highlight was Amanda Peet's performance, as always. Least enjoyable yet for me.
  17. I can't really envisage a time when the content providers will be doing anything other than attacking all kinds of piracy, but I do agree it's already a lost battle. Within a decade, perhaps, there will be fast enough internet available to the average user that almost TV quality rips of TV shows will be on people's hard-drives minutes after the programme ends. Then we'll have real-time streaming of programmes in the same quality. I'm sure the move to HD and the awareness of image quality will slow this process, but it's inevitable. What will this mean? I'd imagine that there will be massive profit in those providing bandwidth, especially when legitimate content downloading is popularised. It's entirely possible that the entire medium of TV will suffer, and almost inevitable that advertising revenue will.
  18. Broke his spine? Holy shit, never seen that one.
  19. See, I like the album and there aren't any really poor songs, but WHERE'S THE FUNK? 'Megalomaniac' probably managed to become my favourite Incubus track since 'Summer Romance', but there's very little on this album with the energy of it. I like 'Rogues' and 'Light Grenades' itself, and 'Love Hurts' is a good Incubus-y love song, but there's not quite enough impact for me on the rest of the album. Sure it'll be good background listening once I've got over this phase of just focusing on the music, but it's not made enough of an impression yet.

    Scrubs

Lol, Cox had Glenn Close's hair. 'Twas a good episode if nothing that blew me away. Probably my biggest laugh was the part when they were dancing to 'Bye Bye Bye', but there were some good Janitor moments too. The pregnancy overload is a little odd, but sure it'll lead to something interesting down the line. I find myself really liking Kim's character, JD's had some excellent love interests and I'm particularly enjoying her.
  21. OK, the new patch is a killer. I'd hear about some contract bug in OFT but it seemed to be uncommon enough. Then I offered Tevez a new contract, which he rejected because I tried to drop a few grand off his demands, and suddenly he's a free agent when he had a year left on his contract before! The fucker's gone off to Real Madrid and I'm enraged. Been forced to reinstall the game and start a new save, since this game is now irreparably fucked. Grrr.
  22. I'm watching Dom Joly's Happy Hour right now. I've been really enjoying this series, despite the often lame scripted moments. They actually get some pretty damn entertaining moments from almost all the places they go, mostly because of Joly's ability to say absolutely anything.
