  1. Yes, it is worth it. It's a great show and they explain what happened to Sam if you are interested in finding that out.
  2. Joe Warren could be very marketable with the UFC behind him. He's a great talker, very cocky. I don't know how he'd do with the top 145ers (or even the 135ers if he wanted to compete there too like he plans to do in Bellator) in the world, but he has what it takes to be a star in the UFC I think. One day I am sure he'll be there, mostly because I just don't see Bellator lasting too long.
  3. Shit, no way? This better make it to a second season; when has a down-on-your-luck boxing story ever not had mass appeal, especially when done as well as this one? Well, it won't. They announced today that they won't renew it for a second season.
  4. Watched two Christian Bale movies. First The Fighter which was wonderful. Great stuff from all involved. And then I watched the Machinist. More greatness from Bale.
  5. Meltzer said during his recap of the show on Observer Radio that he is probably going to get the shot if Pettis loses to Guida. If Pettis wins, Miller would probably have another fight and if he wins that then would get the shot. Also, Dana White said they are doing the Primetime show for GSP/Shields.
  6. Loved seeing Jones win. Can't wait to see him destroy Evans next.
  7. If Dunham wins I could see them matching him up with Dennis Siver if wins in his fight against Matt Wiman to determine the next challenger for the title after Pettis or Guida challenges. Thing is, if Sotiropolous wins and Siver also wins, I can't see them wanting to do a rematch, so not sure where they would go if that scenario happens. Now if Wiman wins, I guess they could put him in there with the winner of Dunham/Sotiropolous too.
  8. And in more rematch news, BJ Penn and Jon Fitch will meet again at the July 2nd PPV. Evan Dunham and George Sotiropolous will also meet on that in a fight that probably would've taken place if both won the last fights they had and probably woul've determined the next challenge, but I can't see the winner of this getting a title shot now.
  9. Nam Phan's off next weekend's Fight Night card and replacing him in his match with Leonard Garcia will be the Korean Zombie in a rematch from one of the best fights from last year.
  10. Weeds and the first half of the Burn Notice season also usually air during the summer.
  11. Some notes on the conference to officially announce the Strikeforce deal according to the Observer: They will keep the six-sided cage for Strikeforce, elbows on the ground are now legal, the contract with Showtime runs through 2014, and they said the heavyweight tournament finales have a good chance of airing on PPV.
  12. Why does there need to be a major competitor promotion? There is nothing out there competing with NHL, NFL, MLB, or NBA. Those are all the major league of their sport. UFC is the major league of MMA. Bellator and all the promotions running on HDNet would be considered the minor leagues of MMA. That's how it should be. You don't need a lot of promotions and many world titles. One promotion, one world title per weight class. That's how it belongs. Look at boxing and all those world titles they created, it's ridiculous.
  13. Isn't the issue between the two is that Henderson was promised a title shot but didn't get it and since his contract was up he decided to negotiate with Strikeforce? Also, Daley is being stupid.
  14. I wonder if this means Zuffa will change the rules of Strikeforce so they are the same rules they use in UFC meaning elbows are now legal on the ground.
  15. I know, but in Meltzer's update he does say that it is a possibility that they could get things changed as "when you are an owner you have a lot of influence, there will be changes, there will be a lot of changes," so there is still some hope to it.
  16. Of those four listed, Miletich is the only one that I like as he has good insight.
  17. Yeah I am sure once the Strikeforce deal with Showtime runs its course, they will be merged into the UFC. With Dana White having talked about a potential UFC network down the line, they now have how many promotions to show? They have UFC, WEC, Pride, WFA, Strikeforce, and I'd assume EliteXC since I believe Strikeforce acquired them. And I think Affliction too. Am I missing anything else?
  18. Well Dana White said that guys could go from the UFC to Strikeforce. So instead of cutting these people like they have been doing a lot lately due to so much room for fighters, they'd send them over to Strikeforce. A guy like Joe Stevenson, who lost his last three fights, he'd probably be a guy that would be sent over there to see how he does.
  19. Are you going to watch Ashes to Ashes after you finish season two of Life on Mars?
  20. It's very doubtful he will get a title shot in 2011. If Faber beats Wineland and then coaches with Cruz on TUF 14 like they are rumored to be doing, that will tie the title up until the end of the year right there, since TUF 14 will from from September and end with the finale in December.
