I finally got around to watching Mean Streets. 8/10 Deniro and Harvey light up the screen like only they can. Talk about to actors who had "IT" from start to finish.

So like it does to many NFL fans the start of a new season means Fantasy Football to me. The other night my buddy and I got to talking about who the number one pick for this years fantasy draft was going to be and a name that we kept coming up with was Adrian Peterson. I don't think Brady and Moss are going to have the year that they did last year, and while the injury fueled season of last year might make it tough to look at this season I still tend to lean towards AP. Who do you guys have your eyes on?

I am glad you aren't one of the idiots who thinks it is badluck to listen to a band before seeing them live. Sometimes I'll be driving to a show and I'll toss on some of the band's tunes to get pumped and a friend will start moaning about "The Rule."

I've been a fan of Casey's seen seeing Gerry a while back, and was pleased to see him in a bigger and better role here. This was one of those films that languished at the bottom of my netflix queue for a while as I bumped other things ahead of it. Now I am wishing I watched it sooner.

Speaking of Bru and noir, has anyone else hear been reading any of his Criminal stuff? Personally I think it is the best stuff he's ever been a part of and beyond that some of the best stuff being printed right now. I haven't started the new arc yet, but I've been trying to get this one as it comes out just because those sales are the only type that will keep the title going.

Robert Plant and Allison Krauss' album. I've had it for a while but hadn't sat down and listened to it from start to finish until last night before bed. It was wonderful. Originally it caught my interest for the cover of Nothin' but now songs like Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us are really shining for me.

Pretty much everything that Eastwood has had a hand in directing has been gold. Especially in the last few years.

Personally, I think Motorhead should cover every song they can get their hands on. Lemmy's voice just makes everything a tad more awesome. I don't care if it is Elvis's Blue Seude shoes (which they have covered) or Sweet Caroline (which would be so perfect it would bring about end times.)

The only cover on that album that I was interested in was the Say Anything ODB cover... I just checked it out and aside from how he got around all the NGH lyrics I found it to be a huge disappointment. When I saw that on the list I thought, ODB + Hilarious Song + Max Bemis = Sure thing. Man was I wrong.
