  2. Have made significant progress. The biggest obstacle now is the addition of younger players who will fill the game with real people as the game goes past five-six years. I'm working off WWF, WCW, ECW, ROH, and TNA rosters to up to 2003 (is this a decent stopping point). I don't want to over clutter the database with workers at this point, but want to have enough so the game remains realistic and interesting with new workers up to at least six-years in game. Should I go further? I'm deleting Japanese workers that haven't worked a significant time in America. They mess up the game when the big wigs are hiring Mitsuharu Misawa and Jun Akiyama just because their stats are so high. Still haven't decided on adding backyard promotions. Working ECW roster. About 80% finished with it. The last big thing I want to do is make some major adjustments to the Sponsors section, so that there is a realistic, gradual incline in sponsorship money for BY2G games, while also not allowing small and regional companies to make so much damn money. Have to balance it out with how much guys are earning on the rosters already and create enough of a challenge for smaller promotions to have enough money to compete with the big boys instead of earning a profit of $40k per month at regional size. Overall, I'd say the project is about 80% complete, and completely playable. Looking for beta testers, although I had run through a few games and have found the data completely playable and incredibly realistic and enjoyable! Have to see how this addition of new younger workers will affect the game, especially great talents like Brock Lesnar and CM Punk and stuff. Have been pretty lax on yet-to-debut worker stats, but their charisma is high if in real life they became superstars. I've started my own BY2G challenge and haven't had so much fun with a data set. PM if you want to beta test.
  3. Thanks for the feedback. Any other opinions? Also, I've realized I never posted the final WCW roster, so here it is. As you can see, it's about 98% complete and edited in the data. Finished WCW Roster (Google Docs .PDF) Once again, will not argue on salaries.
  4. So I've finished adding all of the smaller promotions whom were active at this time with a relevant roster complete with an accurate roster of their time period. All of the appropriate workers have been added as well as belts and owners. Here is a full list of the promotions added, all Small sized. All Pro Wrestling (55%, America) Border City Wrestling (35%, Canada) Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling (27%, America) Confederate Wrestling Alliance (20%, America) East Coast Wrestling Association (60%, America) International Wrestling Alliance (35%, Canada) IWA Mid-South (65%, America) Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation (75%, America) National Wrestling League (67%, America) Northern Championship Wrestling (30%, Canada) NWA: New Jersey (60%, America) NWA: Ohio Valley Wrestling (25%, America) Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling (55%, America) Pro Wrestling eXpress (40%, America) That puts the total number of promotions at 18 (including WWF, WCW & ECW) Now I ask the question, should I fill the rest of the promotions with backyard promotions just so new random promotions don't pop up and make things less-realistic? I've simmed through the data a few times, and sometimes national and cult sized promotions pop up, while the more promotions I've added has led to more backyard and small promotions popping up. More beta tests will be done, but right now it's not clear how 18 promotions will run. I'm sort of leaning towards adding more promotions, all of which would be backyard on the lower side of public image all representing different geographic regions of the U.S. and Canada, but I don't want to over clutter the data (as mentioned before). What do you guys think of this?
  5. Does anyone have a lot of knowledge pertaining to ECW? April 1997 is their first pay-per-view, Barley Legal 1997, and I think it's important I accurately protray the dynamic of the company at this time because it is a fantastic starting-point, and people love their ECW. Basically I'm just looking for someone who I can bounce questions off of via PM. If you think you can contribute just PM me. Also, what are people's thoughts on adding indy promotions? Having only three promotions in the game gives rise to an absurd number of cult and national promotions that just pop up and sign a funky roster. I've already gathered a list of small/backyard promotions I can add to completely fill the promotions list, while also giving indy guys a lot to do with semi-accurate rosters. Does this sort of clutter things though? Slow the game down? Thoughts?
  6. Brutus' Wikipedia says he left WCW for nearly two years after his stint as The Booty Man, and CageMatch.net says he didn't wrestle a single match in 1997. That to me doesn't justify he was "still under contract" for WCW. Brad Armstrong will be switched to "Touring with NJPW". Fit Finlay toured Europe for most of 1997, I don't see how that justifies him still being under contract with WCW. Big Ron Studd didn't wrestle a single match in 1997, until returning in March of 1998; I'm releasing him too. The only guys I'll keep around is Lenny Lane and Brad Armstrong.
  7. I'm on the fritz about Sid. I just don't think he was on the same level as Hart/Michaels/Taker in terms of overness and the scope if main eventers in WCW as well. I think 88 suits him perfectly. Billy Gunn should probably be a heel, so I will change that. D-Lo is fine where he is I think. I could put him in developmental but I don't think it makes much of a difference. Also I'm adding a small note for myself: adjust managers for clients in WWF.
  8. So I've finished up the entire roster and work needed for the WWF. I must say, this is freakin' easy when all you have to do is make a handful of workers, research who's where at what time, and adjust the overness of workers in accordance with their position post-Wrestlemania 13. Finished WWF Roster (Google Docs .PDF) Quick disclaimer though: I will not be arguing the salaries of any workers, so don't even bother. I will most likely try to do something along the those lines. The only problem is, I have to run through a lot of workers that haven't been made yet, and figure out how to factor them in to the game considering they haven't even debuted yet. I have no problem putting in workers that are younger than 18 years old, the only problem is finding them (which I will eventually have to down the road) and figuring out what their stats should be at 18-years of age. And trust me, I was five years old in 1997 so my knowledge of this time period isn't great either.
  9. Needs more Kurt Angle, less everybody else.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBwoJhUNSPQ From WWF Raw Is War, March 31st, 1997 So I'm in the preliminary process of creating the next data set in the MASTERS series, April 1997. This is set right after Wrestlemania XIII and right before Spring Stampede '97, meaning you clock should be set for "March 1997" to get the time right. This is gonna be a bit more difficult than it should be, but only because I lost all of my data and resources from when I first created this scenario. But thankfully, it won't be as tough as creating a data set from scratch! I figure this is the next logical time to start from, and will hopefully be attempting to expand the series further in with consistent points in April (due to it being right after Wrestlemania), although other big moments (such as the Montreal Screwjob), will also feature updates. As of now, I am currently compiling the rosters for WWF, WCW, and ECW, using Wikipedia and Cagematch.net as resources (seriously, Cagematch.net is a fucking blessing). I also wish I had WWE Network, but probably won't get it for awhile, although it would also be an incredible resource. Nevertheless, YouTube has a bunch of stuff up, so I'm doing what I can to draw conclusions as to how to disposition, gimmick-up, and adjust the overness for wrestlers. Thankfully, I have the August 1996 updated set to work from, and I can use it as an incredible base to just update everyone seven-eight months down the road. My first step so far as been mocking up rough drafts of the WCW, WWF, and ECW roster (haven't started on ECW yet), and I'm looking for people to sort of "fill in the blanks". Don't worry about salary and complete (those are for me), I just need some advice from people concerning the Face/Heel disposition and gimmick of each wrestler, as well as a suggestion for overness (). I also need people to let me know who I'm missing. I'm trying to compose a very accurate roster for each of the big three (and holy moley does WCW have a huge roster!) I'm sure I'll miss someone. First WCW Roster Draft (Google Docs .PDF) First WWF Roster Draft (Google Docs .PDF) Thanks for the help!
  11. Not sure why it was missing, but I fixed it. Also made all the adjustments you mentioned. Here is what we can call Version 2.1. http://www.sharebeast.com/l3u2pog88k0s
  12. Awesome stuff iDOL! Did not expect this at all and truly appreciate the picture pack! It's definitely an awesome addition to this data set and perhaps future MASTERS scenarios down the line. Pictures for every wrestler definitely increases the playing experience of any EWR game by 1000%! EDIT: Why is Bret Hart removed from his WWF contract?
  13. the dome, the original wwe network...

  14. Here is a story on my buddy and frat brother who was featured during Detroit's MNF failure and was eventually put on a billboard in downtown Detroit. He didn't know who did it but turns out his dad was the one who put his sad face up! Hilarious story. http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2014/02/mystery_of_sad_detroit_lions_f.html

      good job everyone.

  16. I may be able to create an IWS database but I don't trust making the stats because I don't know on what basis you are going off, and this would hurt the consistency. I'll probably give it a shot if I have the time though.
  17. Mmmm Peyton. God, he's just so amazing. Very glad he made it to the Super Bowl. Hopefully they get Seattle, but San Francisco wouldn't be a bad game either.
  18. So basically, this game still holds up as F'ing amazing, and if you didn't know from your XBOX Dashboard, the game is available for FREE for a limited time right now, for all XBOX Gold Members. If you love GTA style games, this was MADE for you. I am a huge advocate of how awesome this game is, how well it is put together, and the variety of missions and mission types. But yeah, main point: game is free for XBOX Gold Members via download if you are interested. I downloaded it since I don't really care for paying new-release prices for games I know I'll get later for a much cheaper price. When I saw this, I jumped on it ASAP and have been addicted since I've started playing.
  19. This statement nullifies any legitimacy to your comments.
  20. Killer instinct. Same demeanor which won them the Super Bowl last year.
