Why NBA 2K8? 2K9 is only a tenner on playtrade and you could probably find it cheaper than that even.

I wanted the Kobe in the Knicks vest to win the cover comp for NBA 2K10... but I think it was rigged. I've played the NBA 2K series since the 'next-gen' consoles came out. Prior to that I played EA's offerings and they were pretty horrid on the PS2. They might have improved but I'm sticking with what I know. Plus 2K10 is only gonna be 30 quid on Play.com.

Only watched the second half but has this linesman been as piss poor the whole game? Alitdore and Casey could've both been through 1 on 1 had they not been flagged offside incorrectly.

Could see USA getting one on the break this second half. Spain have failed to break them down and worn themselves out in the process. You'd expect more from the Spanish but fair play to the US they've been really stubborn from what I've seen of this game.

Not that I was in any doubt but they even said at the end of the show that Schumacher wasn't the stig after all. Plus the credits showed The Stig and Special Guest - Michael Schumacher seperately. Would've been rubbish to reveal the/one of Stig's identity other than if it were the last ever episode anyway.

It actually looks like something I might've come up with when I used to create my team's own kits for each season on FIFA '96. It's different I'll give them that... but it's still bad. If it were all the darker orange colour it'd look okay or even if the stripes were a less contrasting shade.

That's what I thought. The best article I could find on the matter is this: How Sony is Screwing Player 2 on the PS3 which pretty much sums it up but it is from last year. I like to play quite a lot of multiplayer games at home with my brother or girlfriend like LBP, FIFA09, LOTR:Conquest and NBA2K9 (soon to be 2K10 which will have trophies) so would be nice to not have to play through again to get trophies. Nothing recent suggests it's going to be implemented.

On what games? I know LBP allows you to sign in two local PS3 accounts but you can't earn trophies for 2 different PSN accounts or at least you couldn't last time I played on it. I google searched and apparently this update was to be included in firmware released at the same time as Resistance 2 but since I've never played that and never heard anything regarding this since I don't know if it's actually been implemented.

I haven't actually played Burnout yet but my brother has it and also has an eye-toy, so I could probably get it for you if you really wanted. Has anyone else tried this VidZone program yet? It's basically a really clunky PS3 version of youtube for music vids but it's actually not half-bad if you want to put together playlists of your fave music videos. I could see it being used quite well if you wanted to have a sort of personalised music channel playing on your TV especially if you're having a party or somethin'. So far I've just put together a dance playlist which I had going the other night when we were getting ready to go to a party. Not bad for nothing.

Well, no. I mean in the sense that Ronaldo's deal is done and up to now Tevez hasn't signed for another club. Although it is more or less a foregone conclusion at this point. Is Fraizer Campbell still a Utd player?

With Ronaldo having left and Tevez seemingly on the way out I would expect to see a lot more from Berbatov this season. Not only more time on the pitch but playing a more important role too. Still would need to purchase another striker though. Why don't we use that buy-back clause on Rossi.

Is it just me or are the gold players morale much more fragile than silver/bronze? I've played with an all-silver team for ages and letting in the odd goal never hurt morale (staying between 95-99 depending on how long it's been since they played) but playing with my new gold team their morale is shot down to about 80-90.

Regarding the first post, Hammy. I can only agree with Lily (although I hate hate hate that Alfie doll!) and Sophie Ellis Bextor. I can't view any of those SEB video links but I do know she still looks pretty decent (if not better) judging by her most recent effort. If you can stand a bit of dance music that is. Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer I kinda like that she's done a dance track in a sort of gone-back-to-her-roots move (Groovejet, anyone?).

At the moment, the thing I like more about the 360 than the PS3 is the ability to sign in a gamertag for each player. You can only be signed into one account on the PSN. So I can't earn any trophies playing as player 2 in co-op games such as LOTR:Conquest and Rock Band 2. This would be a huge plus if they could implement this in a firmware update sometime.

With regards to the Ronaldo thing. The transfer window for the end of the 08/09 season is closed. All deals being made now won't be completed officially til July 1st because that's when the transfer window re-opens for the new season. Or at least that's what I remember seeing on SSN.

That reminds me of Uncharted. I know you get the awesome 'Eddy's Golden Gun' but the only way you can earn enough reward points to use it is to beat the game on Crushing difficulty... pointless.

You've got another surprise in store. There's a glitch in the A-League that means even if you LOSE the semi-final of the playoffs you still go through to the final. So if you thought you could get away with being knocked out and still get the trophy... think again. TheBoss:, I started out playing professional level just like you. My tips are as follows: DON'T spend a fortune on good players. Chemistry is far more important than having superstars in your team. I've been rolling with an all-silver team for quite a while and they're cheaper to keep in contract. Play club games with 6min halves against CPU (don't do tournaments yet cause you can't choose your opponent) Pick teams that have a better star rating than you (preferably 5*, Real Madrid and some International teams are surprisingly easy pickings) and always play away for that extra coin bonus. In your matches try and do the following in this order as quickly as possible: Score 5 goals Get 10 corners (shooting from a tight angle nearly always forces a corner) Make sure you have 15 shots on target and then pass the ball around to up your passing percentage and posession. I currently play on WC level and even if I only get 7 corners I'm still getting around 1100 coins a game. If you're only using cheap players it's actually better once their contract is down to 1 game to stick them up on trade and buy the same player with more games on their contract than it is to buy contract cards. When you've got a bit more money, many suggest the gold pack method which is just basically buy a gold pack, sell EVERYTHING in it (check trade for prices) and 9 times out of 10 you'll make a profit. Also look out for players going cheaply on the trade that you could sell on for a profit. I've never done this as a habit but I did buy a Beckham for 1.3k when he first got released and sold him on for 50k. I could honestly talk about this game for days so if there's anything else you wanna know hit me up. ---- And to update you all on my current events, as I know you're most interested I just spent 69k on a new team and it looks like this up to now: GK - 95 - C. Why didn't you just use the fortune you made on Ronaldo to buy another big player? Is that the Blackhawk one you had to 'audition' for? Cause that would suck to have to audition to play with a bunch of tards. I'm building a 93+ team on UT now to smash my way through the tournaments. I'm now past caring whether or not people quit on me I just want the damn trophies. I also like that I learned (way overdue) how to do kicky-ups and chest-flicks and around the world's so when TCO and I are 5-0 up playing 2v2 we can really take the piss. Not that I endorse such unsportsmanlike activities.

Yeah there should be like a standard for controls that's like law or something. For PS3: X for continue, O for back. Start for pause menu. In recent years I've played a ton of games that've swapped them about.

First thing that came to my mind was the Fire 40 Paintballs in 5 Seconds achievement/trophy on LBP. ...and then how I'd done it on an online level but didn't get a trophy cause I don't have the MGS dlc.

There is a match-up system in place that EA implemented to make sure you face teams of a similar level. Trouble is if you have a low rated team there are no similar level teams! I wouldn't worry too much if you're matched up with a 5* team. About 90% of the time they're absolutely shocking FIFA players trying to make up for it with roided teams. The trouble is they're almost always complete prats as well. Using gameplay cards and glitches constantly. I never use gameplay cards but I do have a few in my arsenal just to counteract any reduction cards I might be assaulted with. I'm still stinging from being beaten on penalties and I never realised how much of a hit your morale takes. I may just have to build a 99 team just to get myself through the tournaments. I only care about the trophies.
