  1. So AON are Man Utd's new sponsor then. Meh. Doesn't seem like it'd look very nice on a Utd shirt but then I thought that about AIG. edit: Here are some more pics I've found that seem much more likely than the other ones for the kit: Now that I could live with.

Plenty of info (and screenshots~!) on FIFA 10 and the improvements to be found here: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/fifa-10...first-look.html I haven't even read it all myself yet because I've just found it toward the end of my shift. Will give it a thorough looking over tomorrow night.
  3. Just got round to watching the Uncharted 2 footage. Man it looks incredible and you know these videos never do the games justice until you've actually played them. Forget Gran Tursimo, Uncharted IS PS3.

I'm glad they're sorting the MM out. That's what usually keeps me playing right up until the next game release. This years was poor. Even simple things like being able to choose a players number were left out. Made you feel more like a caretaker than a manager. If it weren't for the trophies patch and UT add-on I've have probably stopped playing a long time ago. edit: I think so TCO, I'm sure you've been through on goal tons of times and had to take that little turn to get onto your strong foot to curl it round the keeper. Now it'll be slicker and more realistic.
  5. Some real classic one-liners (Terminator, Scarface, Taxi Driver, GWTW, Casablanca etc) in here already. Here's a few others that haven't been mentioned to make up the numbers: "Aaaaaalrighty then." Ace Ventura: Pet Detective "E.T. phone home." E.T. "You can't handle the truth!" A Few Good Men "My mama always said life was like a box a chocolates, never know what you're gonna get." Forrest Gump "Houston, we have a problem." Apollo 13
  6. If I keep watching this video thingy will I get to see Uncharted 2 footage or will it not be on again? Otherwise where I can I get my eyes on some Uncharted videos.

Yeah I imagine with skilled players you can predict what they're going to try and do, whereas noobs are just crazy. Michael Carrick ^ My first UT game on Legendary difficulty. Picked a nice easy opponent to start with. I'm loving Carrick and Barry in midfield. Both excellent shooters, strong defensively, run the game in midfield and Carrick inparticular is wicked at getting his head on the end of corners.
  8. Bruce to Sunderland, Barry to City and now Tony Adams to Celtic? There are piss-poor decisions flying all over the place today.
  9. Alright guys I only need telling once. I didn't realise he was still Russia manager. Props to him for staying with them though.
  10. Why is it that Hiddink doesn't want the job? I ought to know this but I haven't really been keeping up with the football news recently.
  11. Arsenal away looks nice and Liverpool too except that the red spoils it. I hope those Utd kits aren't legit, or even close for that matter. They're horrible and so is the Everton away. Everything else is meh.
  12. My apologies guys. I'm working overtime nightshift this evening and clean forgot to let you guys know.
  13. I'd play you. You at least seem to have more belief and enthusiasm than Michael Owen.
  14. I haven't read any other replies as I'm trying to do this without any influence. I'll probably be reminded by a ton of stuff I'd forgotten afterward reading through. -Goal David Bentley vs Arsenal in October 2008. The 40 yard volley. Can't find a video of it. Which is a shame because it's the only thing worth remembering about David Bentley this season. -Match Perhaps not the best match from a neutral point of view but personally I thought Utd beating Villa 3-2 was amazing! If they had lost that game the title would've been right in the balance and I really think it could've gone either way. It was just a classic Utd comeback in front of the home fans and one I'll never forget. Not to mention the emergence of Macheda. By the way, I don't think he's some megastar after a couple of goals like the media would have you believe, but he could still prove to be a great player yet. -Moment Macheda goal. 3-2. Amazing. -Comeback -Player Steven Gerrard. He has less goals and (I think) less assists than Ronaldo but he played a few less games and there's no doubt in my mind that Liverpool are weaker without Gerrard than Utd are without Ronaldo. Not saying Liverpool are a one-man team by any stretch but without such an influential captain who can change games like he can they wouldn't have had such a good title push this season. -Manager Roy Hodgson. Done so much with so little. -Facepalm moment of the season Take your pick of any of Gomes' gaffs earlier in the season. But credit to him he's been better this year.
  15. I'm on your side. In my own funny little British way I can see a comparison between the way Orlando have got themselves to the finals and how Chelsea of the Premiership went about their two title wins a few years back. That is to say they haven't done anything that stands out like the Cavs winning two series 4-0 and getting lots of attention. They've just gone quietly about their business and got the job done much like Chelsea won a ton of games 1-0 playing 'dull' but efficient football and beat teams like Arsenal and Man Utd to the title who were playing pretty flowing football and sometimes winning by large margins but were more inconsistant. Maybe I'm talking shite but that's the way I see it.
  16. Yeah my brother and I got it. I've only played the tutorial but he's hammered it cause he's a bit of a trophy-whore. It seems alright but I definitely wouldn't have paid for it. To answer the earlier question, I have my main UK PSN account and a US one for things like earlier demos and free junk like this. Don't bother with a Japanese account since... I can't read Japanese.
  17. As I said in the like thread, well worth staying up til after 4am to see Orlando make it to the finals. They made it look pretty easy too. The Cavs had no fight in them whatsoever. LeBron was almost non-existent.
  18. Still think it's the best kit they've ever had.

Just needed to bump this to tell you all that David Beckham is now on Ultimate Team along with another couple of new players in the Italian league (not sure who they are though). He's causing a bit of a frenzy at the minute and people are paying daft prices for him. I somehow snapped one up for 1.3k on trade and I sold him minutes later at a Buy It Now price of 49,950! Best bit of business I'll EVER pull off. Chuffed with that.
  20. Oasis What's the Story Morning Glory Definitely Maybe Heathen Chemistry Don't Believe The Truth Be Here Now Dig Out Your Soul (Still growing on me though) Standing on the Shoulders of Giants Limp Bizkit Three Dollar Bill, Yall Significant Other Results May Vary Chocolate Starfish Unquestionable Truth Part 1 (To be fair I've only listened to a couple of the tracks)
  21. I'd take any Scottish/Irish/Welsh international over fucking Michael Owen. Rooney will be 26 by the Olympics, and so will I... which is rather depressing.
  22. Sunderland fans will be fuming. With the takeover happening it paves the way for a big-name (or at least decent) manager to come in. Plus Quinn said he'd make sure the club took it's time over choosing a new manager and days later they're in talks? With a geordie no less.
  23. Ugh. That game really didn't live up to expectations. Sloppy play from both sides at times and very unlike Utd to just collapse like that. Normally you can count on them to have a better second half when they've gone in trailing.
  24. DVD/Bluray remote is handy to have if you watch a lot of movies on it like I do. I also have this charging dock which isn't necessarily must-have but it looks cool and a good way of storing the controllers neatly. My next purchase will probably be the official headset. Heard nothing but good things about it. Don't get the madcatz ones, they're crap.
