  1. OK, I've bought the four-pack now. I can gift the remaining three copies to the first three claimants willing to pay me £3.50 through PayPal. My Steam ID is Bobfoc if anyone is still interested.
  2. Would anyone be interested in joining in on a four-pack for The Political Machine 2012? It would cost roughly £3.50 each or whatever your local monetary equivalent happens to be.
  3. You can, but you might want to get most or all of them done before the end of the story if you want to avoid a certain 'disappointment' that some fans were unhappy with.
  4. Fair enough. I can't say it jumped out at me as being much else, really.
  5. I was planning to give it a go, but my slow connection put me off the idea of downloading large Beta files for the time being. I'll be interested to read the opinions of those who do play it, though.
  6. How well are you able to run Sim City 4? I've been thinking of picking it up myself but I've heard a few horror stories about it being a pain to get working properly on some computers.
  7. I'd go with Rome Gold myself. It's the cheapest, easiest game in the pack to run and generally the most popular, and it comes with the Barbarian Invasion expansion too. If you enjoy it, you might want to consider picking up Rome 2 once it's released as well.
  8. True, and I imagine that Mayweather would do so much more slowly and methodically than Garcia did. If anything, a Khan-Mayweather fight would end up a one-sided decision victory for Mayweather, which would ultimately be more embarrassing for Khan than succumbing to a ripping shot or two a la Prescott and Garcia.
  9. Once again, Khan went for bravado over sensible tactics. Having been able to get away with it to a certain degree in some of his recent fights, he evidently came undone against a fighter who had done his homework and knew how to take advantage of Khan's shortcomings. I still don't really know what to make of Garcia's future prospects and I'd like to see how he would get on against a more tactically astute opponent than Khan. Whoever he fights next, though, he's probably in for a much better payday than he would have been this time yesterday.
  10. To be fair, Cotterill was only ever probably going to be a short-term option anyway. At the time he was taken on, it seemed as though the appointment was based primarily on the fact that the club wasn't willing to shell out enough money for the more expensive compensation package that would have stemmed from the act of hiring a manager from a less financially woeful club than Portsmouth. Add that to the fact that his style of play was highly unpopular with the fans and it's not all that surprising that he's gone. To clarify, I agree that he deserved more praise than he got for keeping Forest up and at least giving them a shred of stability in the Steve McClaren aftermath. Unfortunately for him, though, he was never likely to be seen as the man to take the club forward to the next level. Depending on who they appoint next, presumably as part of Saturday's press conference, we'll see if the owners have made a step forward or a large steps sideways with this move.
  11. Apparently so. His name is Firas Al Khatib and if this footage is anything to go by, he looks as though he's got bags of pace.
  12. It's certainly more of a puzzler than an out-and-out hack-and-slashfest. Its difficulty curve is fairly unforgiving too.
  13. The Grimrock reduction will be in effect for 48 hours only.
  14. Left 4 Dead 2 or Payday: The Heist would be decent options.
  15. You can finish the side quests after completing the main story. Some would argue that it's best to get through them before a rather major turn of events unfolds near the end of the narrative, but as far as I'm aware, no side quests will actually be locked out upon the main game's completion.
  16. I'd say there's a good chance. I wouldn't expect a saving of over 50%, mind, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't end up receiving a discount.
  17. Just in case anyone wasn't already aware, a few indie developers have indicated that the Steam Summer Sale will commence on Thursday 12th July.
  18. Fair enough, but I just see it as being akin to a rental service. Netflix subscribers lose access to film streaming once their subscriptions expire, whilst Plus members can similarly no longer access their free game content. Obviously, Playstation Plus doesn't have anywhere near as much content as Netflix, but I'd still consider it a reasonably fair comparison.
  19. I'm almost certain any 'free' content is always linked with your Plus account. You could even let your membership expire and rejoin Plus at a later date, at which point all your previous Plus content should be accessible again.
  20. I made the mistake of starting a game with a huge map and the maximum number of AI civs. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but my processor now chugs and splutters under the weight of the Industrial Era bustle.
  21. I've almost exclusively played Gamecube games on my Wii. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy Super Mario Galaxy, but there really hasn't been much in terms of actual motion gaming that has personally excited me.
  22. I'm sure Djokovic would have something to say about the top ranking spot.
