Agreed. They can't pass up on him. If Manning is able to play another few years, Luck can only get better learning under him. And as you said, if Peyton's done, they'd kick themselves for passing on him, when this has really become a quarterback-driven league.

I can't say I'm shocked, sadly. College kids tend to be so far up their own ass during that time in their life that they usually don't see the big picture. They'll eventually grow up and mature and realize their argument was idiotic. Doesn't make it any less disgraceful, but not surprising in the least bit.

From what I've read/heard, McQueary went to him about it. So he got it directly from the source that saw it happening. It wasn't a "Hey, Joe, you hear about Jerry having sex with a kid in the shower?" type bullshit session.

I guess it's a matter of professional obligation versus moral obligation. Professionally, he did as he was suppose to. He alerted his superiors, allowing them to deal with it. But morally, you'd think he would have followed through regarding the incident, once he looked across the table and realized the guy was still on his staff and not in prison. In that instance, it seems like he was putting his program ahead of the safety of those children.

I think I'd be looking at this in a different light if it was a one time occurence. That's bad enough. But we're now up to nine victims coming forward. The fact that he (Sandusky) was allowed to still bring children on campus even after the first (that was reported) occurence is just terrible and unacceptable. Had anyone, be it Paterno, McQueary, the AD, reported this to police, as I'm sure is the law, they could have saved several of these children a lot of hardship.

Yeah, I'm with you. I'd step in if he was "just" beating a kid, let alone doing anything sexually. Hell, I'd be the one in prison because I'd probably beat him to death. McQueary is very much a coward for running and telling as opposed to stopping the act from happening, even in a non-violent form.

I think them wiping the slate clean is inevitable. They pretty much have to get a new President, AD, Head Coach, etc. This regime has to be finished for the University to go forward.

Agreed. My wife even came up to me this morning after I woke up and asked if I had heard about the Joe Paterno sex scandal. She was completely confused by the way it's being presented. Like Maxx said, he needs to resign, and he should feel terrible about doing the absolute minimum of what he should have done, but the fact that Sandusky is becoming an afterthought is a shame.

I had no idea a flat midfield was so frowned upon... I always used just a basic 4-4-2 until just recently. Finding myself playing a 4-3-2-1 more and more and it's worked wonders so far. Been incredibly busy over the last week so I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like. :/
