  1. IIRC, you just run toward the camera after talking to the dog. >_>
  2. Wait - if you defeat X-ATM, do you not get the awesome Quistis Rambo moment? Anyway, I've never 'destroyed' it. My main concern is to get the higher SeeD rank by escaping faster. The only thing that's really a crap shoot is the bridge run where it jumps over to where you are, causing you to run back, and then run back AGAIN when it jumps again.
  3. Hey! Not all Californians have secret TV developmental contracts!
  4. This was cool more in the way I did it rather than a 'Holy Shit!' moment. Warning: Endgame "Deal" Spoilers. Spoiler: Click here to viewI was on Happiness Island, chasing Dmitri. I killed his goons, killed a few cops, and saw an open hot dog stand. I calmly bought one, which healed me (which was a godsend, as I had blinking red health then.) Anyway, I run around the statue, and begin shooting at Dmitri, using the SMG because my Carbine ammo was running low. It got him down to four or so bars of health, so then I switched to the shotgun and shot Dmitri; he began running away, and I started walking after him, shooting. After three shots, he was down. It looked awesome, kinda like the Terminator. >_>
  5. I've gotta say Squall and Rinoa too. The scene with the party member you chose, Ellone, Piet, and Squall in the escape pod shows just how much Squall's character changed through the game.
  6. I just hate the gigantic fucking number of chase missions.
  7. That's why, more often than not, I made sure to save just before facing a character for a major card - like facing Edea for her card under Random... I lost many big-time cards, and still didn't get it. I eventually lucked out, but it was frustrating.
  8. Eugh. Random sucks the worst possible balls. I liked the card game when it became, for all intents and purposes, a speed game for me. Guaranteed victory, but how long does it take? Seriously - I'd have like Diablos, Ifrit, Rinoa, Seifer, and Quistis against some random douchenozzle's Fastitocalon, Belhemel, <insert three other monsters here> cards.
  9. I think one was a thunderstorm, when... Spoiler: Click here to viewI killed someone. Can't remember his name, on the roof of the strip bar. I got that too. It made it epic, even if I jumped the gun (no pun intended) and accidentally shot him before seeing if he said anything. Spoiler: Click here to viewIt was Faustin that you killed.
  10. I remember playing through that part, also all in a day. It's a real bummer. Spoiler: Click here to viewLuckily, I never build Aeris up as an uber-character, so it's not a major hit to my party... but when Cloud and Tifa were removed for a short while, I got owned horribly by Ultimate Weapon. Also, for later on, fuck Carry Armor. Fuck it in whatever orifice it has on its person. That thing's always been a crap shoot fight for me. It's one of those few fights where I consider an all-out assault (which, to me, means using the most powerful healing items I've got, using Ethers on a regular basis, my most powerful status-curers and causers, damaging items, Limits, huge-cost summons, etc.) okay.
  11. I stole a car, hit a corner, and the car blew up. No prior damage, all I did was break the glass, hotwire it, and hit the corner of a building. BLAM.
  12. Wasn't it always a percentage of how much you had?
  13. I pronounce it Game FAX, only because it's easier to tell your friend to check 'Game[FAX].com' instead of 'Game[F-A-Qs].com'.
  14. Once you get the hang of the Junction system, it's not that bad. Eh. FF8 was the first one I played, so I've always had a soft spot for it.
  15. Right. There's no big OMG HOLY CRAP~! thing about him that really differs Mark Wahlberg from Max Payne.
  16. Never before have I hated anyone as much for so little time. >_>
  17. I always hated those boss fights against Beatrix. Those are still the only series of fights where I was going "Dammit, not again..." every time I had to fight her, and not because she was a shitty boss - but because with my usually-underleveled characters, she was a difficult boss.
  18. I've been playing VII and IX recently. I got my first Gold Chocobo in FF7, too ( ^_^ for getting it; but for its one damn use being to get KoTR) - and now I just need to train the crap out of my team before I take on the Northern Crater so that Tifa doesn't get KOed when Bizarro Sephiroth hits her with Bolt3. With IX, I'm in Lindblum at the beginning of the game. It's a great game, but there are times when I think 'Less talking, more fighting, dammit!' Vivi kicks major amounts of ass, like always.
  19. I don't know if it counts, as it's a b-side and hasn't been on an album per se, but "Quixoticelixer" ~ Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's a great song.
  20. I hope that at least the English tracks are brought over to North America. I want me some Hysteria, dammit!
  21. I remember reading somewhere that McFarlane has said that the entire family knows that he's talking, but just disregards it for the most part. EDIT: It's Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt, but this is McFarlane's take: They notice him, but they ignore him.
  22. I actually like the VIII game more than IX, even though IX's is easier. I never got the VIII cardgame before my last playthrough, and rarely upgraded - if anything, only Squall upgraded, once - and it was to Lionheart. In my last playthrough, I just seemed to 'get' the cardgame, and kicked ass. By the midpoint of Disc Two, Squall had Lion Heart and every other character had at least their third upgrade. Anyway, I have to share the love for the VIII soundtrack, and for the Seymour Omnis battle music.
  23. If I remember correctly, USA's signed on for at least one more season. I got that off Wikipedia, though, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm gonna be watching it when it's on later, though.
  24. I think that battle system is one of the reasons I just can't really get into FFXII. The story in the beginning (not to mention the marathon of dungeons) is kinda meh, and the battle system is just too much of a departure for me from the random battle system. I wanna hear the 'doo-doo-doo-doo-doo DOO DOO DOO DOO!!!!' theme every time I kill an enemy!
