  1. I feel happy for the much maligned Enterprise that it will finish with 33 episodes more that Disco. Vindication, or something. I was a big Disco fan at the start but by the end of S3 I wasn't fussed about S4. I know it's the Burnham show but I did a post back then about how they could have allowed other characters to shine when it would have made sense to do it, but they always shoehorned Burnham in. As for Picard 3, people are making good points about Worf...
  2. If you have a few background hours to kill, here is the recording where we run through the intro that the designer provided to get into the game (all roleplaying parts that aren't instigated by officers are from the players though). https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1728481729?t=00h12m25s
  3. We streamed our first ever episode of Night Witches last night. A game based around the historical 588th Soviet air battalion who were all women and flew WW1 biplanes on night bombing raids during World War 2. Amazing history and the game is already shaping up to be a good'un!
  4. My rooting tiers are of course my beloved Dolphins first, with the 49ers second as the Superbowl final I'd most want up against the Dolphins. When we no doubt get eliminated then I don't hate the Ravens or Chiefs so they're tier 3 for the AFC I suppose. Working from the bottom, I don't like the Bills at all (divisional rivals, Bills Mafia etc). Don't like "America's Team", don't want Herbert to win it, don't want Brady to win it, don't want Burrow to win it.... So I guess... The "my team" tier: Dolphins The "I like the cut of their jib" tier: 49ers The "I'm ok with them winning" tier: Eagles, Giants, Seahawks, Vikings, Ravens, Chiefs The "I don't like 'em" tier: Bengals, Cowboys, Jaguars The "please God no" tier: Bills, Buccaneers, Chargers
  5. Ok, first few.... Meiko Satomura from an appearance at EVE. Hurricane and Gail Kim from my friend's work at a comic con. A whole load of wrestlers from the first Wrestle Queendom with plenty of signatures from the meet and greet. Including everyone on the poster, Millie McKenzie and Addy Starr.
  6. I've got a Jonty Rhodes autograph on a picture of him in a magazine, I got him to sign it when the South African team were down at Kent for a warm up match before the 1999 World Cup. That was cool. I also have a Kent mini bat from the early 90s and a signed sheet for Australian and South African teams from a similar era due to me raising money for a charity as a twelve/thirteen year old. I've got a really cool pack from the cycling Tour of Britain from years ago which I bought off ebay. It's a big road book for the cyclists/fans with info on all the routes, also sheets with all the results each day. The owner had gotten the stage winner to sign each day so it has autograph from riders like George Hincapie, so that's a nice thing. I've got loads of wrestlers. Partly from me attending shows and some from a friend of mine working as assistant to wrestlers at a comic con a few years back. I'll take some photos in a bit.
  7. Another series over for us (we're a few behind). I'm reaaaally gonna miss Charlotte Ritchie. One of my all time fave contestants.
  8. If you're bored from 11pm GMT why not pop in on the BoysFromTheBalticStar where two friends and I are playing out ongoing Traveller roleplaying adventure. It's sci-fi but we're RP heavy compared to combat and it's a friendly, chill channel. It's at twitch.tv/boysfromthebalticstar
  9. I'm in a Fantasy Dynasty League. We're in season 3. When we started I drafted Wilson as my QB with Tua and Herbert in their rookie seasons to stash for future/trade. I traded Herbert for good draft picks. In the first season (2020) Russell Wilson balled, got me loads of points, things were good. In 2021 I played about 3/4 Wilson and 1/4 Tua. This season Wilson's number have been horrific. I've played Tua the whole time except his injury weeks but Wilson was doing so badly I picked up Jimmy G on free agency and have used him as backup instead and finally just released Wilson. No-one has picked him up since then, even to cover injury, bye weeks etc. Just goes to show how far he's fallen. Also due to good rookie drafting over the last two years, this was going to be my year. My WRs are Cooper Kupp, Michael Thomas (who I'd stashed ready for his return after he got injured in the first season), Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyler Lockett, Mike Williams and Rondale Moore. My RBs are Derrick Henry, Miles Sanders, Rhamondre Stevenson, Dameon Pierce, D'onta Foreman, Raheem Mostert (and Tyler Allgeier). My TEs are Zach Ertz, Kyle Pitts and Mike Gesicki. But pretty much all of my WRs are out for the season or IR, Ertz and Pitts are out, Gesicki is a victim of the new system....Heartbreaking.
  10. For anyone who has to play solo most of the time, consider joining yucata.de - it's an online boardgame site with loads of choices to play people online. It's where I do most of my gaming these days as you can dip in and out of your games over hours, days or even weeks, so it's less time consuming.
  11. If any of you fancy a day or weekend of roleplaying in Kent next Spring then tickets for our convention on March 18th and 19th are now available. Each day there will be up to 10 tables running three sessions a day (10-1, 2-5, 6.30-9.30) for six sessions in total with a mix of D&D, Traveller, indie games and more. There will also be pre-drinking Fri night and a chance for an end of weekend brunch on Monday morning. There are also opportunities if anyone wants to GM a session or more (let me know). Hot and cold drinks and snacks available as part of the price. There will be a merch table. There will be GMs coming down to run sessions. The venue is a 2 minute walk from the station and within a few minutes of numerous Shepherd Neame pubs, two micropubs, a Spoons, another chain pub, multiple Indians, cafes and other eateries. There is a Premier Inn about 15mins walk from the venue. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rpgaming-faversham-2023-tickets-472241295427?fbclid=IwAR1OrslvZd-HUEpysO0oq6k5iIvjEVZbUcsY8AEu4Eov20AYh0oGF0l6_AU
  12. I have World Wide Wrestling but haven't been able to get it to the table yet. I do like a lot about it though.
  13. What an absolute joy to tune in to watch Josh Allen throw it away for the Bills this weekend. Especially after Tua balled out again.
  14. To be fair we should have won it by about 14 points but our defense were clueless all game.
  15. 1. We're streaming our ongoing Traveller (sci-fi TTRPG) campaign tonight from 11pm UK time at twitch.tv/boysfromthebalticstar 2. We're organising a TTRPG convention in Kent next March. We're gonna have tables for Traveller, D&D, a variety of other games etc and with extra stuff over the weekend too. Tickets are going to go live in the coming days for those who want to come whatever, with more info about GMs over the coming weeks.
  16. We're half way through the Wozniak series and I don't think I've loved any contestant more than Charlotte Ritchie. She's adorable in it.
  17. No Man's Sky is ludicrously good now. Far surpasses even the ridiculous promises they were making pre-launch. There's almost too much to do now.
  18. Four wins in a row against he Patriots is a pleasant streak. Dunno if Mac Jones does anything in other games to deserve all the hype he seems to get, but against the Dolphins he's always looked very average so far.
  19. Dolphins have signed a player called Chris Steele to their practice squad, which therefore means he has to become my favourite player by default.
  20. Steven Pienaar didn't make any sense. However if we're going to dive into the era of Mabizela, Toda, Atouba, Andy Booth and suchlike it's a treasure trove of terrible signings.
  21. My brother and I got into watching and playing basketball in the early 90s and watched whatever we could on TV. My brother got into the Bulls at that time (as a lot of Brits did) while I loved watching Stockton and Malone. It must have been 93/94 where I first got into them. Hornacek had signed and they lost to the Rockets in the playoffs. It was a few years of so near, yet so far! Stockton was immediately my favourite player.
  22. Football (Eng): Tottenham NFL: Miami Dolphins Cricket: Kent NBA: Utah Jazz Football (Other): Nagoya Grampus, Union Berlin, FC St. Pauli Baseball: Chunichi Dragons (inasmuch as I check up from time to time) For cycling I follow cyclists more than teams. My favourite cyclists are Thibaut Pinot and Mark Cavendish.
  23. Ian Sterling for sure, also Joe Thomas who just kinda looked spaced and confused for much of what I watched.
