Will it? Artur Boruc was the 4th best keeper in the league last season. Fraser Forster's just conceded 6 over two legs with a team that scored just 4 against The New Saints 12 months ago. Fraser Forster is still a good keeper. It'd be like saying that David Marshall is absolutely terrible, solely because Cardiff got relegated. A big part is about the defenders you have in front of you, and I'd say Southampton have a much stronger defensive line than Celtic.

Yeah, I seem to remember those three having not-terrible seasons and being generally good players.

Whilst I think it's a shame the Southampton side is being absolutely gutted, as I really like them, they'd be bonkers not to sell. They've doubled their money on Lovren within a season, and sold everyone else (with the exception of Rickie Lambert) for well above their market value and what they'd have assessed them as 12 months previous. I'm sure West Ham fans would retrospectively go back in time and accept Liverpool's £15mill bid for Carlton Cole.
