I hate seeing people comparing the Joe Allen transfer to Andy Carroll's. Rodgers had Allen in his squad for two years, so knows what he is capable of, and whether he can slot into his new tactics. The other Liverpool big buys (Henderson, Carroll) were just people who were highly rated at the time, and the manager had little-to-no experience with managing.

Read rumours that state Lambert can't sign Norwich players for up to 12 months. But Holt will be leaving, maybe to West Ham.

If either Terry or Cahill have to leave, it's got to be between Ferdinand or Carrick. Carrick doesn't want to be a bit-part player, but with how injuries are lining up, he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet. I just feel the defensive coverage is sufficient, whilst if we had to put Jordan Henderson or Stewart Downing on as starters, I'd want to cry.
