Skip Bayless picked Cleveland to win yesterday I know. He said he was disgusted by the way they played and had expected them to be fired up and motivated. He was really reaming the team over last night's game, and Jay Crawford (who is a Cavs fan) couldn't argue. And Skip also pointed out that the fans spent too much time booing Lebron and not enough actually cheering the Cavaliers, which could have been a factor. Not a huge Skip Bayless fan, but he was right on the money when he ripped into the Cavaliers this morning.

Watched First Take, and I like what Skip Bayless called Cleveland after the way they played last night: The Cadavers.

Don't know anything about Mike Bourke, but he must suck if he was losing to Ken Shamrock.

R.I.P. Ron Santo. The Yankees re-signed Mariano Rivera for 2 years. Somewhere around $15 million per year. I hate the Yankees, so I couldn't care less about the Jeter situation. But I have to say that the point of contention from the Yankees side should be the # of years on the contract more than the money. He wants 6 years, they offered 3. I think they should be willing to go to 4, but no more than that. The only way they should even consider going 6 is if those final 2 years are incentive laden rather than guaranteed money.

Hopefully, the NCAA will close that loophole sooner than later. The way I look at it, if Cam Newton actually didn't know anything about it, fine. If he did, I hope he ends up one of the biggest busts in NFL history or is one of those guys who spends more time on the IR than on the field. Either way, anyone who attends his father's church....if he actually has one....should be embarrased. The man's a hypocrite.

Wilbon is an idiot. If either of them should have been suspended, its Finnegan because he goaded Johnson into attacking him. I'm a Titans fan (Cowboys fan first, though) and can't stand Finnegan. (Plus I have Johnson on one of my fantasy teams, so I'm pissed off at Finnegan for getting him tossed!) People actually watch PTI?!

I've got an idea for a new reality show: Derek Anderson and Randy Moss are forced to live in a house with Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary. People would watch just to see how long it takes Singletary to chew Anderson and Moss new ones or for Lewis to get fed up and beat them senseless with a case of Old Spice.

I bought Batman Arkham Asylum and Left 4 Dead 2 during the sale. Is it just me, or is L4D 2's difficulty ramped up a bit? I played some of it on Easy to get a feel for the changes, and I swear it felt like I was playing on the equivalent of the first game's Normal or Hard setting at times.

You know what I wish? I wish the SEC could trade Vanderbilt to another conference.

What rank is Boise State now? I'm hoping that Auburn gets into the championship game. See my location and you'll known why I'm not exactly an Auburn fan (except when they're playing Alabama - I'm a fan of anyone playing `Bama), but they got screwed during the 2004 season when they should have been in the championship game instead of Oklahoma (though its moot; I think USC would have beaten them badly, too). So I'd like to see Auburn get a shot at the title.

I've played both Freedom Force games and can't recommend them enough. Don't know if they'll work with Steam, but there are a ton of mods for Freedom Force out there, if you know where to look.

I went ahead and ordered Arkham Asylum and am downloading it right now. Sadly, money is tight right now. So it will probably be the only game I order during the sale unless they have something good for about $5.00. Oh, and I redid my wishlist. I downloaded the demo, and its freaking awesome. It has Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill and Arleen Sorkin as Batman, the Joker and Harley Quinn. And sometimes when Batman is kicking ass it goes into slow-mo mode so you can enjoy seeing the beatdown on the bad guy.

As a Reds fan, I'm damn glad - and proud - that Joey Votto won it. I've with you that it was probably a Cards hater who left Pujols out (or someone who believes he might be on the juice), but whoever had Ryan Howard #2 on their ballot needs a mental exam. For the record, I don't believe Pujols is on the juice. I believe pitchers need to start using baseballs made out of Kryptonite when they pitch against him!

Soundgarden was pretty bad. And what the hell was that song they played, anyway? First time on tv in over a decade, and they should've played something that would have made people mark the heck out, like.....oh, I don't know.....Rusty Cage or Black Hole Sun. Conan's guests so far have been disappointing, aside from Seth Rogen and Tom Hanks, but the bit with the censor guy was funny. Will Forte as Ted Turner, though, stunk on ice.

After Reggie Bush I think we're in guilty until proven innocent territory with scandals and Heisman hopefuls. Yep. And it doesn't matter if Newton's father did it, not Newton himself. Newton/Newton's family still benefited.

I look at it as a good thing. I've been hoping for Jones to fire Phillips. And Garrett was the next head coach in waiting. So why not give him the job when they're pretty much dead as far as making the playoffs is concerned? If he does a decent job, keep him next season. If he sucks ass, get rid of him at the end of the year and get Bill Cowher, Mike Ditka or even Brian Billick on the phone and offer them the job. The problem with the Cowboys is similar to the situation with the Raiders: the owner is too hands on, which means most decent coaches won't want the job. The only difference is Al Davis is batshit crazy and living in the past while Jerry Jones is just an asshole. At least one good thing happened this week. I'm still laughing over the Browns beating the Patriots.

Vols should have started Tyler Bray before last night. They put Sims in with around 4-5 minutes left in the third, and he was pretty much ineffective (granted, they put in some backups, too). Hopefully that has cost Sims the starting job.
