  1. The Shawshank Redemption was set in Maine, but where was it actually filmed? (And if you've never seen it, put it on your `rent asap!' list)
  2. Madden with Smackdown vs. RAW. I want to powerbomb the hell out of T.O. and spear Tom Brady so hard he coughs up a lung. (Y) Seriously, though, anyone else up for......Metal Gear Splinter Cell?
  3. Yes. He was Lance, Vincent's drug dealer.
  4. Michael J. Fox was the first choice to play Marty McFly in Back To The Future, but due to commitments to Family Ties, he couldn't do it. So another actor was picked, but about a month into shooting it was decided he was miscast and the film was delayed until a deal could be worked out for Fox to play the role. Name the actor, and, just for the hell of it, which Tarantino movie does he appear in?
  5. He's been nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director for Inglorious Basterds and Pulp Fiction, so that would be 4 nominations. The only Oscar he's actually won was for Best Original Screenplay for Pulp Fiction, which he co-wrote, if I remember right. (And its a fucking crime the two Kill Bills didn't get any nominations) If you want to get picky about it, both movies combined had about 14-15 Oscar nominations, but the only award Inglorious Basterds won was for Best Supporting Actor, and that wasn't him.
  6. I'm not a big Dragonball Z fan, so I can't really help you there. But you should check out the Dragonball Z Kai version of the series, if that's not the version you're watching. Its a remastered and redubbed version (and some voice actors are different, most notably the Narrator, Gohan and Bulma), but the important thing is they cut out a lot of the boring filler crap.
  7. Rogue Galaxy 2 Xenosaga episodes 4-6, which were cancelled More Mechwarrior, please
  8. Total guess, because I never watched Veronica Mars, aside from a couple of clips I saw around the time it was cancelled: Hot dog vendor?
  9. Its definitely a bad idea. Hopefully it will be short term. Hey US Agent rules! There's far worse choices for Avengers. Off the top of my head: Moon Knight (unreliable powers, less of a team player than Batman, schizophrenic) The Sentry (unreliable in general, schizophrenically becomes his own arch-nemesis) The Falcon (why does earth's mightiest heroes include a guy who can... fly? And talk to a bird?) Lionheart/Captain Britain (Chuck Austen is terrible and all his ideas are terrible, including Captain Britain) I'm sure there's worse. Also that spoiler is really depressing. I don't see him actually joining any avengers team long-term. What a terrible character. Of the 3 legacy/ripoff characters (Thunderstrike, War Machine and USAgent), USAgent is the one who should have been killed off (Eric Masterson should have just been depowered). The name Asshole America, which is what I usually call him, fits. And I meant worst choice when it comes to team chemistry, not gimmick or powers (or lack of powers). I agree with all those you listed, but I'd also toss in: Doctor Druid - Considered a Dr. Strange wannabe despite the fact that he actually pre-dates Dr. Strange (first appearance was in 1961, under the name Dr. Droom that was later retconned to Dr. Druid), has a lame as hell costume, and oh yeah, he went nuts and was killed by Daimon Hellstrom! Starfox - Do I even have to explain why? He's used his powers to basically commit sexual assault, and last time I checked he's a fugitive. Was almost useless when he was an active Avenger. D-Man. Super-powered homeless wrestler with one of the lamest costumes ever. I could keep going, but I'll just mention Deathcry and Silverclaw, then stop.
  10. Its definitely a bad idea. Hopefully it will be short term.
  11. When Wilt Chamberlain had his 100 pt game, which team was he playing for, and who did they beat?
  12. I'll paraphrase what I said at another board: Vikings with Favre as the QB: First or second in the division. (Ahead of or behind the Packers) Vikings with Rosenfels: 8-8, maybe 9-7 team. Vikings with Jackson: Better toss out half their passing plays, slap some glue on AP's hands and learn to love to pound the rock. Might even finish behind the Bears. (Lions have a deathgrip on the basement for a few more years)
  13. The answer to mine is: Michael Long, and a steel plate in his head.
  14. Correct. (And not that it matters, but I picked that question because I'm a Cowboys fan )
  15. There have been 44 Super Bowls and surprisingly there has yet to be a shutout. But there IS one Super Bowl where the losing team only scored 3 pts. Name the two teams in that particular Super Bowl.
  16. Addie Joss. He played for Cleveland, but they weren't called the Indians back then. He beat the Chicago White Sox.
  17. Pardon the double post, but I'm crashing soon and won't be back on before the 12 hours is up, and I'm fairly sure I'm right. So.... On the original Knight Rider, what was Michael Knight's name before he became Michael Knight and what enabled him to survive the injury that messed up his face?
  18. I don't hate Anchorman, but I hate seeing references to it still. On SportsNation on ESPN they occasionally run clips of Will Ferrell as Ron Burgandy interviewing for a job with ESPN. Which would have been fine to do when the movie was still in theaters or just out on DVD! And I play Champions Online which has one mission where you have to rescue a tv news station from the supervillain Foxbat, and all the characters are based on the Anchorman characters. The one based on Ron Burgandy even uses a few lines based on lines from the movie. (There's also a mission in the game where you have to rescue some of the characters from LOST, who have been renamed)
  19. I will second stoke's recommendation. Trigun is freakin' awesome! Fun fact, even though most people here probably prefer subs: Johnny Yong Bosch, aka Adam the second Black Ranger from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, does Vash the Stampede's voice in the dub. And Trigun is one of the few series I recommend checking out the dub version of to pro-sub snobs. (The only other series I recommend that way are The Big O and the Ed-free episodes of Cowboy Bebop) *edit* Stoke, I'm into vampires and I didn't really care for Blood+. I do want to check out the live action movie sometime, but I don't recommend the animated series when I'm giving out/asked for recommendations. However, I do recommend Black Lagoon. Unfortunately, I still haven't seen the entire series, but I watched a good chunk of it and liked what I saw. I came very close to picking up the Black Lagoon complete series boxed set a few months ago, but didn't. And now I'm in financial trouble so I can't afford it. I was watching it on either Encore or Starz back when they showed anime and had to drop some channels for financial reasons and only got to see about half the show. I also missed a good portion of Samurai Deeper Kyo and the series Tactics, which I only saw two episodes of, because of that. (I got the Encore channels package back last year, but not Starz, and they don't show anime anymore, anyway)
  20. Pretty sure Dick Butkus is wrong. I'll name TWO former players I'm pretty sure about: Jim Brown Joe Namath
  21. Show = LOST, Band = Driveshaft. And I know that for a fact, so pardon me for not waiting for a reply. On the show House, what is Thirteen's real name? (Her full name, not just her last name)
