  1. I think the new Outkast song is "Morris Brown" or some shit like that. Kinda makes me want to I thought it was called "Hollyword Divorce." And yeah, it's really disappointing.
  2. The show must go on, boys and girls. Here's 11-19. 19. "My Generation" by The Who "Enter Sandman" by Metallica" "The Importance of Being Idle" by Oasis 17. "November Rain" by Guns N Roses "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd 15. "Master of Puppets" by Metallica "A Change of Seasons" by Dream Theatre 11. "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan "Hotel California" by The Eagles "Faint of Heart" by Coheed and Cambria "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead Coheed nearly made the top ten. Oh god, you people, what the fuck.
  3. Is that the one that starts off "I wake up in the morning and I look outside and <some weird noise> I said hey... What's going on?" And the rest of the song is just "Heeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyayay. Heeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaayay. I said hey. What's going on?" ? If so, I feel your pain. If not, fuck you for reminding me of said song :| As for songs I hate right now... almost everything MTV or Radio One play. I honestly can't think of a mainstream song played on Radio One in the last year or so I've not hated, with the exception of Bang Bang, You're Dead and Mr. Brightside. "And I take a deep breath and I get real high." Yeah. Deep lyrics. It's the same song, yes.
  4. For me personally I'll probably never ever be able to truly hate Nelly Furtado because no matter how lame some of the shit she's done is, I will always love her for being in "Thin Line" by Jurassic 5, one of my favorite hip-hop songs ever. Also, I hate "The Best of You" by Foo Fighters because it's the most generic song ever.
  5. 1. Any of you going to get Season 8 on DVD? *Just released today in the US* No. 2. Did the Season 3 DVDs come with an episode booklet? Mine didn't. Dunno. 3. What would you all consider to be the last great episode of the Simpsons? New Kids on the Blecch (as awful as that episode title is) 4. What would you consider to be the best episode ever of the Simpsons? Way too hard to say. Off the top of my head it's Marge versus the Monorail but that's probably not actually what I would consider the best episode ever, it's just the first that comes to mind.
  6. Xero, you win. Someone should copy and past the Freakazoid lyrics because I'm too lazy to.
  7. 'cause I'm freeeeeeeeeeeee as a biiiiiiiiiiiiird nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... I really, really hate that song, but whatever, to each their own.
  8. 28. "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd "Windowlicker" by Aphex Twin "A Day in the Life" by The Beatles "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden 27. "Walk" by Pantera 23. "Citizen Erased" by Muse "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones 22. "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd As you can see, the ties are slowing down! Hoo-rah. The songs that finished in the uncomfortable teenage stretch, coming right up!
  9. I kind of want to see most of those people decidedly higher. Sabbath, Radiohead, and Cream definitely. I like the inclusion of Sufjan Stevens, though.
  10. Did he do that last year too? I know that in the first year he went to a Muse board or something, if memory serves. Which was a pretty ridiculous choice in my opinion.
  11. I'm glad Blur made it in. Though of the songs in the 30s the one that makes me the most happy regarding getting in is "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." Because oh god, Marvin Gaye.
  12. And now, to little fanfare, we continue with the songs that placed 38, 35, and 32. Massive ties, rock rock on. 38. 3 Doors Down - "Here Without You" – 17 Guns N Roses - "Civil War" - 17 Blur - "Beetlebum" - 17 The Mars Volta - "Cassanda Gemini" – 17 Foo Fighters - "The Best of You" - 17 35. Marvin Gaye - "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" - 18 Guns N Roses - "Sweet Child of Mine" – 18 Megadeth - "A Tout Le Monde" – 18 Reuben - "Best Enemies" – 18 32. AC/DC - "You Shook Me All Night Long" - 19 In Flames - "Cloud Connected" - 19 InMe - "Safe in a Room" – 19 Enjoy the awful formatting! The songs that placed in the twenties coming up next(ish)!
  13. I don't even like Blink 182, but that is amazing. Thankfully I always thought he was by far the most useless member as his singing voice is amazingly grating.
  14. Hi there! Just for anyone who still cares about this thing, here are your results! In that choppy broken up thing so if Jook randomly vanishes at least you'll have something to bitch about. First off, the also-rans, the songs that nearly made the cut but were one point short of tying for 42nd place along with like ten other songs. "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash "Killing in the Name Of" by Rage Against the Machine "Sleep Now in the Fire" by Rage Against the Machine "Pinball Wizard" by The Who "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young Damn shame, really. Now, since this isn't enough to really start a topic for, we start off with the big tie for 42nd place. Enjoy. 42. "Layla" by Eric Clapton "Babylon" by David Gray "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi "One" by Metallica "You Suffer" by Napalm Death "Black" by Pearl Jam "Here Comes Your Man" by the Pixies "Raining Blood" by Slayer "With or Without You" by U2 "Baba O'Riley" by The Who "Californication" by Red Hot Chili Peppers Yup. Coming up next, the songs that placed in the thirties. All twelve of them. Make sense of that as you will. And yes, I am too lazy to format properly and generally make this list actually cool. But they're results, dammit. Appreciate.
  15. The two most recent albums I have bought were "The Velvet Underground & Nico" by... well, the Velvet Underground and "Juke Box Alarm" by Stereo Total like two weeks ago. Both are very good.
  16. ... I, um, like "What's Up." But I totally understand why people would hate it because sometimes I really hate it too.
  17. Oh god is that song terrible. It's the same three lines on endless loop. BRILLIANT! LET'S WRITE TEN THOUSAND FANFICS WITH THAT TITLE RIGHT NOW!
  18. I've actually managed to shut myself off from terrible popular music recently. It's really kind of amazing. That being said, anything involving Gwen Stefani from 2001 onwards.
  19. Oh my god, girl parts. Well, I'm sold.
  20. That was a pretty bad episode, yes. Of course, most Simpsons this decade has been pretty bad, but still.
  21. Harvey Danger's newest album is available in full on their website and it's absolutely wonderful so you should like download it or something.
  22. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Just... BWAHAHAHA. The BluRay bit was PERFECT.
  23. Pffft. The lack of the original Turtles theme disgusts me. That's because the original Turtles theme kind of sucks. ... then again, the new theme sucks too.
