  1. Not that convinced on whether he deserves the England shirt, but this goal will always make me like Glen Johnson...just a little bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IACkXEs0d9s EDIT: Fairly sure I've posted this before in the World Cup Thread a few months back, but this may be my favourite team goal of all time.
  2. Still playing FireRed and my party is currently: Lv. 22 Farfetch'd (Ch'ding) Lv. 22 Paras Lv. 24 Gloom Lv. 25 Nidorino Lv. 24 Pikachu Lv. 30 Snorlax (Ruki - couldn't resist) I've done the Team Rocket Hideout in Celadon, completed Pokemon Tower and, obviously, caught the Snorlax blocking Route 12(?). Also managed to find a Lv. 35 Horsea on my first try with the Super Rod, which was kind of cool. Next task: defeat Erica - which may require a Growlithe, or something similar, because last time her Weepinbell kicked seven shades of crap out of me. Also, double battles? I forgot how awesome they are.
  3. QFE. >_< No-one's popped up from my list yet, but I'm going to take that as a good sign. It's nice to see Weisz get a look-in though - I still remember her being exceedingly cute in The Mummy and she was class in Definitely, Maybe (although Banks was better). Also, the Rachel Riley pic with her standing next to "lecherous" is brilliant.
  4. Two more, both amazing volleys from long balls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUh-NcHi5ug
  5. "It's a wonderful goal from GIGGS!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DlDjODd1J4
  6. Andrew Ryan (Bioshock) - all you need is a brown suit/blazer and a putter. And generic zombie make-up, of course.

  8. The Town Went into this film with no real idea what it was about or who was involved as I was meant to be watching Buried, but my mates changed their mind. It took me a while to get into it because of this but, on the whole, it was a hell of a movie. The action sequences were brutal, the human drama didn't feel out of place, most of the characters (if a little clichéd) were well fleshed out and the acting (especially from Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall and Pete Postlethwaite) was generally solid. It was also really well paced IMO - it flitted really well between brisk and deliberate, depending on the situation. Only complaint I had was, due to the obvious desire for realism, some of the dialogue (which was another one of the film's strengths) ended up mumbled and unintelligible. Admittedly that may just be me and my shitty hearing, but it did spoil some of the sequences (especially with Doug and Jem). Completely different to Scott Pilgrim, but it also gets 9/10. Plus:
  9. http://yfrog.com/16ndnz Zack Ryder is officially my favourite human being today. Woo Woo Woo...you know it.
    1. Rocky

      Rocky

      Zack attack alright!

  10. Alex's amazing free kick (now with 100% more South American commentary )
  11. has an idea for another list thread that may, hopefully, contribute to the Top 20 EWB Lists List of 2010.

  12. Colin Hanks is definitely another one for me - he did a film called Orange County which I adored when I was younger. Then, he turned up in King Kong as the cameraman and it took three sit-throughs for me to realise it was the same dude. He doesn't even look that different in it, I think it was just the specs that threw me.
  13. That's the problem with Arsenal, Kaney, they always try and walk it in.
  14. Holy fuck, Blackpool have scored twice in front of the Kop. 'Tis madness!
  15. Bloody hell, Van Der Vaart knows how to win his club over, doesn't he? Four goals in three games at home - £8 million well spent from the looks of it.
  16. I was distracted for the first two episodes of Lost that I watched as I tried to remember where I'd seen Harold Perrineau before. Turns out I was thinking of The Edge where he gets mauled by a fucking bear.
  17. Managed to find my GBA (emulator ) a few days ago and booted up FireRed. I'm currently 10 hours in and my party is: Lv. 14 Ekans Lv. 14 Pikachu Lv. 15 Spearow Lv. 17 Oddish Lv. 15 Butterfree Lv. 16 Mankey I'm in Vermilion City and I'm just taking on the trainers to the East/catching myself a Diglett before I go exploring the St. Anne. The party I'm using currently isn't my best party in terms of level as I also have a Lv. 18 Pidgeotto, Lv. 14 Beedrill, Lv. 18 Geodude, Lv. 16 Nidorino and my Lv. 19 Ivysaur that I can switch into my party depending on the types needed. Just a quick question: how do you rename your Pokemans? IIRC, you had to speak to someone, right? EDIT: Just caught a Lv. 17 Spearow and decided to trade my Lv. 15 for a Farfetch'd. Fuck yeah.
  18. It's living on a wing and a prayer, a wing and a pray-ay-ay-ay-ay-ayah.

  19. You realise what the problem is, Sousa? If you change your username, you gonna be on very thin ice, very thin ice, very thin ice...

  20. Damn right they did! All yours, Destroyer.
  21. Oh shit, I totally forgot about the slap at the end of the play - that one was meaty. Gotta admit though, I primarily remember the whole "slapbet" storyline for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQwsj6IRw2I&feature=related Haunting. ^_^ Continuing with the topics of HIMYM, Jason Segel AND Neil Patrick Harris (oh yes, all three, bitches): During an episode of the Megan Mullally show that the HIMYM cast appeared on, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel were goaded into singing a song from a well-known musical. What musical did they emulate and, for extra super bonus points, what was the name of the song?
  22. I'm going to go with a mixture of Split and LNK - Barney opted for five slaps (this I'm positive of) and Marshall has one remaining (this I'm not so positive of). In terms of when the slaps happened, I know one happened right away and one at Slapsgiving, but I haven't seen much/any of the later series so I'm totally guessing the amount.
  23. I have been waiting for this awesome name change since forever, Sousa. Thank you for doing this thing.

  24. Me too and I also really enjoyed it. It ultimately came across like a bunch of actors having a fuckton of tongue-in-cheek fun and that, most of the time, is what I want in a film. The fight sequences were amazing on the big screen and, on the whole, Edgar and Nira did a damn good job of condensing the source material into a palatable movie. Would definitely recommend it and I can't wait for the DVD. Probably give it 9/10.
