I think they released then the other way around so don't think it technically counts but "December" by Neck Deep is just as good on the acoustic album version as it is on the full band single version. Homesick by A Day To Remember is another big shout.

The absolute fool

I've had a few where I've just gone through phases with. When I first heard The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance I thought it was the best song ever but I never listened to anything else they'd done. Kerrang showed me that one song and I decided that was it. Taste gradually changed and it got to the point where I couldn't stand the song and actively turned it off if I heard it. Don't remember what caused the change. Maybe the break up just annoyed me. Fast forward a few years (still pre-reunion so wasn't that, probably 2015-16) and I heard it again, thought it was great and had no idea why I hated, bought the album and now own all four on CD and vinyl and think they're one of the best bands ever having discovered all the great songs I'd missed out on the first time around. Done that with a few bands, but they're the most prominent example. 2016 I properly discovered the entire genre of pop-punk having written it off before that really. Most recent one that comes to mind is probably Bring Me The Horizon, they really turned my opinion around with Post Human: Survival Horror and they're sound evolution has put them right into my niche after hating them prior to 2017. Ignored two fantastic albums as a result of that.

6 definitely had the boost from being the first 3D generation, and they hadn't started messing up the formula with Z-moves and Dynamaxing and whatnot. I'm replaying Ultra Sun at the moment and it's better than I remember. Nostalgia factor might be helping. Gen 5 will forever be the peak for me, between sequels being a genuinely interesting fresh take rather than the 3rd version they'd done the whole way through, they'd introduced Megas, had a really good plot to the game, introduced some of my favourite Mons, SEASONS, just so so good.

Umbrella Academy is very good so I'm immediately interested.

The secondary market still has them super expensive but the best ones were the DS series from Platinum through to Black and White 2. Gen 4 and 5 were brilliant. Gen 6 and 7 were a bit too handholdy for me, but that arguably makes them better for new players. Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Sun and Moon were both very good games. I played Sword but haven't bothered with anything on the Switch since, but Legends Arceus has had a lot of praise for its fresh take on things.

I thought Sandman was a really good contained series whilst having an obvious direction for a second, it's one of the best things they've made in recent years so I'd absolutely watch it regardless. Have the same complaint about Tekken Bloodline though, I get they're the main characters but I'm bored of all the focus being on the Mishima/Kazama families.

That came out two weeks ago and I'd never heard of it which doesn't bode well.

I'm surprised we don't have a wrestling based battle royal game yet. Forget the guns, dump 100 wrestlers onto a ring-shaped island with the ropes gradually shrinking the space and just fill it with kendo sticks, chairs, ladders etc. and make it more brawl based rather than shooting each other.

How is adding more men "stinky" when you've made the only man you've actually put into the group the leader? Which side of the argument are you on here?

Donna Noble was the best Tennant companion for me. Tremendous stuff.

If we buy a replacement forward (one who can score would be nice) then I'm fine with it.

I will deliberately get some to annoy @9 to 5 but I've stopped really using them as anything other than a general guide on things to do. Some of them are just deliberately annoying. If it's as per your example and I've played through and just missed a couple i might just look how easy they are to do. If i have to play 70% of the game again to make the choice for the second trophy then I'm probably not doing it. I definitely don't play games I'm not enjoying for them.
