  1. Our guy Ishbia was so weirdly obsessed with beating Gilbert, and I think really wanted to outdo him. Both are MSU alums, so Ishbia wanted to donate more to MSU (he apparently funded much of Mel Tuckers contract in football), wanted to become the #1 mortgage lender in America, and of course buy his very own sports team (he was rumored to be interested in the Commanders). Much as I despise the guy, he'll probably be a "good" owner because he's hyper competitive and already shown he's not afraid to make big moves to make the team competitive.
  2. I don't want Phoenix to win anything because the new owner is the scumbag that owns the mortgage company I used to work for. He underpays people at his mortgage company but can buy the Suns. Also, he created a job position for his former rapist teammate Mateen Cleaves at the mortgage place. So fuck him.
  3. Dude was my dream scenario for Detroit. Not so much now.
  4. Yea, he always has an injury. Golladays best bet is to find a big armed QB that will have him competing for jump balls. He's just not great at getting separation. Reuniting with Stafford in LA might be the right ticket for him if LA is interested
  5. I use Reaper. It's very good, and very cheap. It was originally designed at a cheap price point for schools to download in large quantities but they also allow for the public to purchase a license. It compares very favorably to more expensive options and offers a free 60 day trial.
  6. maybe I'm late to the party, but Tim Curry had a band in the 70s. He's actually got a great voice, reminds me a lot of David Johansen actually.
  7. Presonus makes good cheap interfaces as well, I have one (well, had, I loaned to a friend) and they're on par with the Scarlet interfaces. Mine only had 1 input for a mic so it was pretty basic but it worked well. I think most of the interfaces will also come with a basic DAW when purchased new if you're not feeling the other options out there.
  8. No, but I love it. I don't know why I'd want to do this, but still....it would be sweet.
  9. I think he's going to get there as far as GOAT status is concerned. But like you said, eye test, I'm not sure I've seen a QB as gifted as him in any era.
  10. I was definitely a fan of 5 different Stings.
  11. The new Ninja Turtles beat em up on XBox Game Pass is really fun. They captured the spirit of the original Ninja Turtles arcade games while also making it feel modern. The graphics are beautiful, bright and colorful. Gameplay is simple but offers a good variety of moves. Giving the option of using April and Splinter is a fun wrinkle added to the game. Me and the kids have been having a lot of fun with it.
  12. Good now we can get to the draft.
  13. I don't care who wins, I just hope both teams have fun.
  14. I agree that Don Muhlbach should be a Hall of fame.
  15. I remember a rumor of a nudity code for Mortal Kombat.
  16. Yeah I think I was just shocked, not that I expected a huge return for Bey I was hoping for a pick or something. I didn't realize him and Wiseman were in the same draft. Bey is also a pretty bad defender so that may have factored into the trade. I think with Bogey they might want to see if the team can improve next season and if so, might be worth keeping to play for a play in spot atleast.
  17. So we got James Wiseman. Another center. Why? Makes no sense, not that Saddiq Bey was tearing it up but could we have not dome a little better than another under performing high draft pick?
  18. He's probably going to be getting loaded on psychedelic drugs.
  19. Yea, this is a good call. I've been listening to them a bit lately. I was thinking Duran Durans album Rio. They use a lot of clever tricks in recording that I think made it sound timeless. I don't think that album would be out of place in any of the following years. I actually really love that album. I think it might be the first actual memory I have of recognizing a song as a child. I remember that opening to Rio from a young age as Hungry Like Wolf (one of those very rare memories we keep from our toddler years). I actually have an old vinyl copy (spoiler alert for my other thread) of it that was my dad's, and he stopped listening to his vinyl by 1990 or so, so it's an old copy. But listening again with a more critical ear for music, the song Rio is really brilliant and put together well. The rhythm section really sticks out for me, the bass player is fantastic. The rhythm he plays doesn't seem to complex but it's played flawlessly and stands out among the rest of the instruments. The drummer is great here as well, initially I thought it was a drum machine but nah it's a drummer working the hi hat with a precision that I wish I had. It's just a really well done song overall, catchy as fuck.
  20. I think multiple iteratons of Triple H could balance that though.
  21. War Games is a really cool feature but I don't know if this is going to be different or improved enough for me to abandon WWE 22. I'm still having a lot of fun with that, it would probably take an influx of different legends for me to jump on this.
  22. Yeah, I'm sure I've heard older versions and numerous covers. It's a song that has been done well by a lot of groups. So, the next album is from a big 4 thrash metal band with a member named Ian. Acid Reign - Moshkinstein (Sorry I deliberately mislead everybody. It was just a really happy coincidence that this came out in 87 along with Among the Living. And Wikipedia said they were considered one of the UK's big 4 of thrash metal. Also the bassist's last name is Ian. Weird right?) That said, I unfortunately do not have any Anthrax, well I do but not the metal band. I have Anthrax from the UK, but that's on a 45 so that comes later. I don't have a ton to say about this one, it's a good album but it is pretty bog standard thrash metal. This actually was their first demo and sort of spurned them to bigger success from there. I bought this years ago when I was on a big 80s metal kick, trying to get my hands on anything that was thrash or nwobhm, and saw this cheap on this old site called gemm.com. Figured for the price it was worth having and that opinion hasn't changed, when you want some no shit thrash but don't care who it is this is a good one. They're excellent musicians for sure, nice crunchy guitar riffs, squealing solos, and pounding drums. If metal just isn't your bag it probably wont do much for you and will probably sound similar to any other 80s thrash band. I don't have a top three, but the opener is a fucking banger. It's only six songs and 30 odd minutes as it is. I wont dick you all around this time, next band up is the Adicts. I have a few of their albums so I may do them all in one or separate, haven't decided yet. They're a ton of fun though so looking forward to going through these again.
  23. Well when I count numbers 16 comes after 7. So that's how I do it. Kinda does explain my Spotify artists numbering. Oh well. No more numbers. Oh also need to note I don't count the word "The" when alphabeticizing. So there won't be a long series of the bands.
  24. Tom Verlaime of Television has died.
