  1. Saw a girl hideously break her leg at a soccer game last week. 25 minutes after the call was made.. ..an Ambulance finally pulls up. Of course, the medics take about 20 minutes to get the girl on the stretcher/into the ambulance, and then spend 10 minutes sitting there before finally driving off. This is why our medicare is free. Because it sucks.

    NHL:EHM

Riz designed the EHM series. The freeware EHM is very realistic, AND you can change the scoring levels to make them more/less realistic. I was hoping you could do such a thing in this game, too. I haven't played the full version for more than 30 minutes, and I don't plan to play it much more, either.
  3. Poison the Well - 26 Walls of Jericho - 25 hopesfall - 23 Every Time I Die - 22 Most Precious Blood - 20 Between the Buried and Me - 19 [but they have the longest playtime of any of the other 5 on here, by far] Most of the bands I listen to only have three or four CDs, and a lot of those CDs have between 8-10 songs, sooo not a whole lot of catalogue to choose from.
  4. Saw the preview during Fahrenheit 9/11 [an odd place for it to be, surely]. Looks fucking hilarious, in an incredibly retarded way. I'll check it out if it's playing at the cheap theatres; looks like a good way to kill ac ouple of hours and laugh my ass off. Then again, Dude, Where's My Car? sucked dick, so, I'm on the fence.
  5. Moonshield Uhh That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll ask my brother, he's the biggest In Flames fan I've ever known.
  6. That sounds amazing. I'm so there. They better cast it properly, though.
  7. What the fuck? Poison the Well shits out better sounding crap than Thursday. They weren't so great on the Thursday tour, though [i hear], and their set was short as fuck [i mean, SEVEN SONGS?!] Recently, I've been to: Blacklisted w/ A Day and a Deathwish, Cannonball, Clear a Path, Kill Decibel. Blacklisted, Cannonball, and Clear a Path are good hardcore shit, and make me want to fuck shit up. The other two weren't very good. Misery Signals w/ A Life Once Lost, A Perfect Murder, Rosesdead Great, great show. A Life Once Lost was really good, A Perfect Murder was *really* good, Rosesdead were really good, and so were Misery Signals. I actually expected more from Misery Signals, but they were still very good. Other shows I'm seeing [or possibly seeing] soon: July 14 - Mental, Lights Out July 17 - As I Lay Dying, Remembering Never, Shadows Fall July 26/27 - Dillinger Escape Plan July 28/29/30 - Between the Buried and Me, Glass Casket, Beloved August 3 - Walls of Jericho August 29 - Lamb of God, Atreyu, Every Time I Die, Unearth [bAD ASS!!!] There's also a Terror show in there somewhere, but I don't know the date [and probably won't be going]. Cannibal Corpse and Black Dahlia Murder are in town tonight - but not for $25!!! Jesus, that's the price of my fucking left arm! I love shows. But am poor [and I will be losing $400 next month on my CEDAR FUCKING POINT VACATION YEAH BABY!]. So yea.
  8. Hardcore music makes me want to get up and punch shit. I guess that can be considered working out. Hatebreed - Satisfaction is the Death of Desire CD Every Time I Die - Hot Damn! CD [minus track 7] Those are two off the top of my head. Stuff that has a fast beat, loud vocals, good riffs, and BAD-ASS BREAKDOWNS.
  9. You know who really, really fucking sucks? Pat Hentgen. What a fucking waste it was to bring his sorry washed up ass here. Ugh. That is all.
  10. Kiprusoff was shit in San Jose. Sure, he fucked the Sharks over in the play-offs, but what they did for him was good for both parties: It gave Toskala more confidence as the back-up, gave Kipper a shot at a starting job, and gave Calgary life as a contender. I'm sure San Jose wouldn't agree to the "positives", though. On another note, my MAIN MAN Sami Lepisto was taken in the third round by Washington. A great selection, that.
  11. Poor guy. Reminds me of the Blue Jays' Roy Halladay. Amazing pitcher. Then he leaves the game. And then the runs pour in.
  12. Blackburn played about NO TIME last year because of an injury, and he keeps getting re-injured while rehabbing. No sense taking chances, and Montoya is pretty much a sure-fire prospect. Plus, if they have no need for him, they can ship him off in a trade for someone who they could use. It may not have been the smartest pick [schremp would've fit nicely there], but it wasn't terrible.
  13. DVDs are too expensive for me, so my collection is quite small.. Pulp Fiction [not special edition] Reservoir Dogs [two disc special edition] Kill Bill vol.1 Full Metal Jacket A Clockwork Orange Family Guy seasons 1 + 2 WWF WrestleMania X7 [two disc set] WWF SummerSlam 2000 The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection Hardy Boyz: Whatever their DVD is called. And I'm sure I have a couple of more but I'm too lazy to go look.
  14. AHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS THING IS THE BEST SAFETY VIDEO EVAR
  15. It's a bit old, but I must reply again. I bought MVP 2004, and I absolutely LOVE this game. THIS is what I want a baseball game to be! Challenging, but not so challenging that I get frustrated and throw things. Mostly great graphics, mostly great gameplay, good features, and [so far] a great dynasty mode. I don't like the prospect of playing 162 games a year, but the "impact meter" helps me a lot, as I usually just skip the games under a 5/10 rating. I really like the AA and AAA features, too. I'm only about 45 games into my first season in dynasty mode, but it's still awesome [if a bit repetitive], and the mode picks up everything that I thought it would, and pretty much everything that NHL 2004's dynasty mode is lacking. 8.5/10 so far.
  16. Finding Nemo - ****1/2 Monsters Inc. - ****1/2 Toy Story - ****1/4 Toy Story 2 - **** A Bug's Life - ***1/4, though I've only seen it once. Best animated short is EASILY For the Birds, I still laugh my fucking ass off whenever the bird tries to imitate the big bird on the line, and his face just goes like, "WAHHHHH" AHAHAHA I LOVE IT. Er, anyway.. Pixar is probably my favourite movie company.
  17. Poison the Well isn't "weird". They're pretty much a really heavy hardcore emo band with a lot of screaming - screamo, as some people say. The Black Dahlia Murder is some good stuff - death metallish, but without the long, epic solos. "Funeral Thirst" is a fucking awesome song.
  18. I saw Unearth, Burnt by the Sun and Abandoned Hearts Club last night in Toronto. Abandoned Hearts Club - 7/10 - best time I've ever seen them live. I've never been impressed with their live show [i've seen 'em live about 10-12 times], and this was the first. They cut out the two songs in their set that I really like, but it was still very enjoyable. Good "techie"-style metalcore with keyboards. Burnt by the Sun - 7/10 - pretty bad ass show, but their song selection sort of left me wondering what the hell they were thinking. They chose a few songs that really don't get the crowd moving at all, and are hard to get into live. They played a decent variety of stuff from their first full-length, and their new one, and an old hit, "You Will Move". A bit short, though. Unearth - 8/10 - Pretty good show. Lots of fucking crazy crowd movement, and the sound was *way* better than the last time I saw them [where I left feeling completely disappointed]. Played about 10 songs, with a good mix of old/new, and a lot of crowd favourites. The order in which they played them was a bit weird, but nonetheless, an awesome performance.
  19. And that makes it all the worse, actually.
  20. When the best band on a comp is Alexisonfire, you know your comp sucks.
  21. That whole bankruptcry thing was dealt with a few years ago. Get with the times, man! And PITTSBURGH WILL NEVER DIE! [*goes off to start another Penguins diary*]
  22. It very well could be. Warped usually has a few hip-hop artists on the bill. Eminem was on it back in 98, IIRC, just before he broke big.
  23. I'm gonna get MVP 2004. Thanks for the help, guys. (Y)
  24. Bands I'd watch on that bill: From Autumn to Ashes [though they suck live] Under Oath So, two bands out of a million is not a good ratio. Underoath will be fucking amazing, though. Screamo with a keyboard = greatness. I saw them open with Atreyu [with Darkest Hour], and they rocked shit with a stick. EBG - I saw Taking Back Sunday live with FATA last year, and they were terrible. That stuff isn't my kind of music to begin with, but their show sucked, in general - not just the music. But the problems were mostly sound-related, so at a different venue, they could sound better.
  25. Go-Go, Elle, and Bill [though he wussed out at the end]. The Bride was obviously a good character [i would've disliked the movie if it was built around a shit character], so that goes without saying. Pai Mai was also pretty bad ass.
