  1. Nevermind. I got to that part myself and realized that it was a string of missions instead of just 1.

Also I totally forgot how garbage the Arrival DLC was. And it just shows how badly thought-out the main plot of the game was. The actually threat to the galaxy is delegated to a badly written DLC while you waste the main game with fighting the Collectors who never get brought up again in ME3. In general other than the recruitment and loyalty missions nothing you do in the main plot of ME2 has that much of an impact in ME3. Even all the effort to turn Ceberus into a more morally gray organization is undermined in ME3. ME2 is probably my favorite game of the series, but in retrospect the main plot seems like a gigantic waste of time.

But back to Arrival. Why do I have to do this mission alone? I get that the real world reason that it was probably too expensive and too difficult to schedule bringing all the voice actors back. But in-universe it makes no sense. Especially if you have done all the loyalty missions before you start the Arrival.

So they found a Reaper artifact that gave them visions of the Reaper attack and told them where the Reapers are going to arrive first. First of all, it is implied that it took Sovereign ages to figure out a way to open a path for the rest of the Reapers. And now they apparently figured out a way to do it on their own? Also why the hell would they leave behind an artifact that could give their enemies a tactical advantage to begin with?

Also if all the personnel on the Project base were indoctrinated, why did they wait for Sheperd and Kenson to arrive to sabotage the mission? Kenson doesn't have to be present for that. And why don't they simply kill Sheperd while he is knocked out for two days? And why doesn't Sheperd try to contact the Batarian colonies again after he is interrupted by Kenson the first time? She didn't jam communication channels, she just interrupted him. He could have easily tried to contact them again, but Sheperd just kinda forgets about that. I'm playing a 100% Paragon Sheperd who would have rather died on that asteroid then let anyone else die. I know it probably wouldn't have made a difference either way since there was not enough time to evacuate 350.000 people, but it still bothers my that I didn't get the chance to try and that everyone (including Sheperd) seems so cool about sacrificing 350.000 Batarians after the mission is done.

None of the choices you make do actually matter. I assumed the big descision was whether to destroy the relay or save the 350.000 Batarian colonists. But it wasn't a choice. Then I though the choice was whether to warn the colonists or save myself. But that choice turned out to be meaningless. And not even the choice whether to Renegade-kill Kenson or not didn't matter in the end. And the timing of the mission is weird to. They kinda expect you to do it after the main story is over. But they give you the Hackett transmission right away and it would make no sense for Sheperd who has been trying to warn people about the Reaper invasion not to do it immediately.

It gets really fuckin’ old trying to climb mountains in the Mako just to scan a deposit of resources or whatever. Plus it’s kinda buggy in the Legendary edition. I much prefer the vehicle they give you in ME2, and it’s not used even half as much as the Mako was in the original game.

Isn't that vehicle used in just one DLC mission in ME2?

I happened upon Wrex's armor randomly but how do you get the other "loyalty" missions?

Garrus just tells you about it on the Normandy when you ask him about his history with C-Sec.

For Tali and the Geth data you have to travel to the Armstrong Nebula and you will get an assignment from Admiral Hackett who tells you to destroy 4 Geth Outposts in the system. Alternatively you can that assignment by hacking a Geth terminal in the ExoGeni building on Feros or the genophage lab on Virmire. After taking out the outposts, you will be send to a planet in the Glossum system where the Geth's base of operation for the outposts is. After cleaning that place out, you can find the Geth data on an encrypted terminal you need to hack. You can give the data to Tali when you're back on the ship. She will use it to complete her pilgrimage.

I don't think either Kaidan, Ashley or Liara have any "loyalty" assignments.

  4. I would do the few "loyalty" missions for your crew (finding Wrex' family armor, hunting the organ harvester that Garrus is searching and getting the Geth data for Tali), the string of missions featuring Ceberus as well as the DLC mission. But the rest can be skipped.

Tbf, the name Sovereign is just the name Saren gives to it. I think its real name begins with an N IIRC.

If you activate Legion and allow him to stay on the Normandy in ME2, he tells you that the it identifies itself to the Geth as Nazara.

My dad kicked Dave Ellefson's cat into a pool one time when they were much, much younger.

    What are the allegations?

He was having sexual video chats with an 18 year old woman that got leaked. The person who leaked the chats claims that the women was underage when Ellefson started to contact her and accused him of grooming. Both Ellefson and the woman he had the video chats with deny that and claim that she was of age the entire time. Ellefson is married, a born again Christian and a pastor who is very outspoken about his faith.

  7. So I was one of the holdouts from the guy who stole Wrex families' armor, and as soon as I would approach the holdout and the gunfire would start the game would crash. And any save I made near the holdout turned out to be corrupted. What fixed it for me was was that in the main menu where you select which Mass Effect part to play you have to select 'start' instead of 'resume' and load your last save manually.

I also once experienced the issue that I could not re-enter the Marko and interact with anything. It happened after the latest patch. To fix that I just hade to make a save and then to load the save.

    I'm playing on a standard PS4 btw.

Correction: The holdout had nothing to do with Wrex mission. It was part of the Asari Diplomacy side mission. The fix still works though.

  8. France, Italy, Finland, Iceland and Ukraine were the songs I enjoyed most. Happy to see France at the top as the time I'm writing this. I hope Switzerland doesn't win. It is the most boring song of the contest if you ask me.

  9. She appeared in the Whitesnake music videos for Here I Go Again, Is This Love, Still Of the Night and The Deeper The Love. She also appeared on some album covers and a music video by Ratt. And she starred opposite Tom Hanks in the 1984 movie Bachelor Party.

  10. A question about the episode:

    Spoiler

I know that the old guy in the car was Zemo's butler. Who was the black guy saying the slogan? Was he actually an undercover Flag Smasher or was he another one of Zemo's guys? And if he was one of Zemo's guys, what was the point of saying the slogan? To lull them into a sense of false security before they die?

Spoony ... is still on Twitter? But his videos, site, forums, everything I think is gone.

Fredrik Knudsen made a video about Spoony and his decline a few years ago. It's quite sad to see what has become of him. He used to be my favorite of the CA-related reviwers.

And here is the new LIndsay Ellis video in which she talks about her recent cancellation:

That was a much better episode than last.

Zemo was great again. Have absolutely no idea what his game is, but it was great to see him stick to his principles and destroy the serum as soon as he got a chance.

    Spoiler

Zemo wants to destroy the serum and kill everyone involved in making it so no more super soldiers can be made. My guess is now that he has accomplished that goal, he'll try to get the remaining super soldiers to kill each other like he did with Iron Man and Captain America.
