  1. Isn't the limit of music you can put on a CD about 70 minutes? About the song: Meh. I like that they are trying to return to their roots and I like that it is short and to the point. But there is nothing that sands out and makes this track. No cool riff, no hook, no melody.
  2. I think since Metallica are the biggest Metal band on this planet this deserves it's own thread: 8 Years after the release of their last album "Death Magnetic" they will release their next album "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" on the 18th of November. It will be a double album that is almost 80 minutes long. Tracklist looks as follows: Disc One Hardwired Atlas, Rise! Now That We’re Dead Moth Into Flame Am I Savage? Halo On Fire Disc Two Confusion Dream No More ManUNkind Here Comes Revenge Murder One Spit Out The Bone Disc Three (Deluxe Edition Only) Lords Of Summer Riff Charge (Riff Origins) N.W.O.B.H.M. A.T.M. (Riff Origins) Tin Shot (Riff Origins) Plow (Riff Origins) Sawblade (Riff Origins) RIP (Riff Origins) Lima (Riff Origins) 91 (Riff Origins) MTO (Riff Origins) RL72 (Riff Origins) Frankenstein (Riff Origins) CHI (Riff Origins) X Dust (Riff Origins) The video for the title track:
  3. Why doesn't Kurt Angle have a legends contract yet?
  4. That could be fun provided that Willis decides to give a fuck about acting again.
  5. They could to the Lesnar showcase without the Hardyz. They are not that important in grand scheme of things. If they want to have an early match with him before he became champion they can the 2002 King Of The Ring finale with RVD. And for anything before that they could simply make a video montage of him destroying people.

  7. I think people should just come to grips with the fact that he is dead and they missed their chance to see him. Just get one of the DVDs or Blu-Rays. It's way more authentic than this shitshow will ever be. It's unworthy of him.
  8. So the official Dio tribute band (official in that Dio's widow and manager is managing them) Dio Disciples (made up of former Dio Members and different vocalists) closed out the Wacken Open Air this year. As a surprise for the fans they brought out a Dio hologram for the final song of their set. As a one-off thing for special occasions I think it is a great idea. But according to this Rolling Stone article Wendy Dio and the creators of the hologram want to take this one step further. They are planning to take this thing on tour next year. Wendy says they hope to have 6 to 12 songs ready until then while the creators of the hologram are shooting for 14 songs so they can rotate them in and out of the setlist to have some variety. Now I don't know if this tour will be just the Dio hologram singing or of it will be half-hologram/half-some-other-vocalist but either way I really hate this idea. I think for virtual bands like the Gorillaz or that Japanese vocaloid stuff holograms are a great way to present the music to the fans in a concert setting. And I have no problem with using holograms of deceased musicians for special occasions like the Tupac hologram in 2012. But I hate the idea of taking holograms of deceased musicians on tour. Why would anyone want to see that? What you basically get is a band playing along to a backing track of Dio's vocals while watching a computer-generated image of he man. Why would you want to see that? Wouldn't it be much more authentic, cheaper and easier to just get one of the various live DVDs/Blu-Rays that have been released and re-released since he passed away? But then again this shouldn't come as a surprise given how fixated on the past Heavy Metal is as a whole.
  9. This is Brock's actual entrance, albeit in the RAW arena and not WrestleMania 31 in comparison to WWE 2K16:
  10. Is it just me or did they nerf the Deathclaws in FO4? In New Vegas I only had a realistic chance against one was after I did all the DLC and reached the level cap. And even then I could only take on one of these fuckers. If there was more than one fully grown Deathclaw in the area they would still rip me to shreds. But in FO4 they don't seem like a big deal at all. A few rounds with a combat shotgun and they are done.
  11. So exactely how outdated is this game going to be? Do you think they'll somehow manage to include the roster split in this game?
  12. Had a lot of fun with that movie too. The only thing about it I didn't like was the generic villan with the paper-thin motivation. Even Idris Elba couldn't do much to save that part. And what is it with with hollywood movies putting tons of make-up on good actors until they are barely recognizable and unable to really emote? Same with Oscar Isaac in the latest X-Men movie.
  13. Maybe the tv show could help make sense out of the mess that is the plot of the third book/the last two movies.
  14. Rocky I is a classic. Rocky II had some good ideas but the execution was a bit wonky. By the time Rocky III came out it seemed like they had given up on trying to make these movies gritty sports dramas and decided to make them over-the-top blockbusters. They went a bit overboard in Rocky IV but to be honest that is why I find the movie so charming. Rocky V had a great concept but the execution was just terrible. Balboa was a return to the roots of the series and I enjoyed it a lot. Though one thing I'll never understand is why they cut the scene in which Paulie breaks down and cries about Adrian and his fucked-up life. Such a powerful scene. Loosing that scene fucks with the scenes preceding and succeeding it. One moment he looses his shit over a watch Rocky is trying to give him and the next he is calm again. Creed was awesome. Yes, it basically is just a re-hash of the plot of the original with Apollo Creed's illegitimate son in the Rocky-role and Rocky himself in the Mickey-role and the scene with the motorcycles circling Creed's son as the modern version of the running up the steps was cringeworthy but other than that the movie was soooo good.
  15. Does anybody know if is required to have played the other 4 games to understand the story? I have never played a Persona game before but heard a lot of good things about them.
  16. Casablanca Gone With The Wind Ben-Hur Spartacus Laurence of Arabia Psycho Airplane A Christmas Story Animal House Caddyshack Vacation
  17. So you can only get these three guys and gals via the NXT edition (and later as seperate DLC)? They are not part of the season pass? Then I'm out.
  18. Bassist Cliff Williams has announced during an Interview with Gulfshore Life that he will reture after the current tour is done. Source: Gulfshorelife.com
  19. I remember watching the first season years ago and enjoying it a lot. Lots of intrigues and backstabbing IIRC. And as far as Jeremy Iron's character is concerned I don't think you are supposed to like him. While he is not completely evil and has a conscience he does a lot of despicable stuff. I suppose you could compare him to Tywin Lannister if Tywinn actually really cared about his children
  20. Something I recently stumbled upon: A shark-themed Power Metal band aimed at kids from Aberdeen:

  22. So in the TV show, was Tysha simply a whore payed by Jamie or did she actually love him? I just read about her on the wikis and I'm confused. I remember that the way the story was told in the show that she really was just a whore payed by the Lannisters but the article on the GoT wiki suggests otherwise.
  23. For all the things you could argue the Star Trek re-boot films got wrong the supporting cast isn't one of them. From Yelchin as Chekov to Karl Urban as "Bones" McCoy they got some great actors to play these characters.
