So to anyone who has finished the game: Is the ending any good?

Nah. I still listen to Hybrid Theory and Meteora every now and then but I couldn't care less about anything they did after those two albums.

Is there anybody else besides me that isn't at all hyped for Season 7? I loved Seasons 1 through 4 of this show. Then Season 5 aired and it was a big disappointment. Especially the way they butchered Dorne. Season 6 was a mixed bag. For everything I enjoyed about that season there are about as many things I didn't enjoy.

Has anbody seen the new Top Gear episodes? Is it any good now that Chris Evans is gone?

It's not that "Days Of Future Past" is downright awful. It's okay. If you have 2 hours to waste you could do a lot worse. But it came after what I would consider to be one of the best superhero movies of all time. I hoped that after what Vaughn did with First Class Singer would step up his game but he didn't. As Maxx said, "Days Of Future Past" was just more of the same. I also hated the the premise of "Days Of Future Past" was pretty much to undo everything that Vaughn had build with "First Class" and restore the status quo of the Singer movies. That was just petty.

I hope that Fox gives it some time before they reboot the main franchise and re-cast all the big names such as Logan, Xavier and Magneto. And I also hope that Bryan Singer will not be involved in the main franchise anymore. Apocalypse was terrible and although everyone else seems to like Days Of Future Past I simply couldn't get into it. Best case would be of they somehow convinced Matthew Vaughn to return to the franchise. So apparently the Guy Ritchie classic Snatch was turned into a TV Show for Crackle, the on-demand streaming service from Sony Picutres. And Rupert Grint is co-starring in it. I had no idea this is happening.

So former In Flames guitarist Jasper Strömblad and former In Flames Bassist Peter Iwers formed a new band along with current Dreamland and former Amaranthe vocalist Joacim "Jake E" Lundberg and Luca Turilli's Rhapsody drummer Alex Landenburg. The band is called "Cyhra" and their debut record will be out in fall this year via Spinefarm Records. Their band describes their sound as "Modern Metal" with Jesper's style from old melodic In Flames and Lundberg's vocal melodies. Judging by the band's description of their sound and Lundberg's involvement this is probably going to be melodic. Maybe even Power Metal. Which could be fun. Strömblad co-wrote almost all of the songs on the first 3 HammerFall records and when his involvement with HammerFall ended there was a noticable drop in quality. I'm looking forward to this. The one I discovered most recently is My Chemical Romance's "Thee Cheers For Sweet Revenge". I enjoyed all MCR records to an extent but (except for the debut which I can't get into) but it's their 2nd album that I can listen to over and over again without skipping a single track.

Watched a couple of episode of Season 1. Thought it was boring as hell. Judging from reviews it doesn't get better until Season 2. I'm not willing to sit through 22 episode of mediocrity to get to the good stuff. I know I'm missing out on some good TV that way but there are so many TV shows out there that managed grabbed my attention right away that I don't really care if I might miss out on the few ones that take some time to get good. Also IIRC Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things since the runners of the MCU have decided to ignore it.

Yes you can. Especially if it's one of these TV Shows that has 12-13 episodes per season. That is half the season right there. There are so many interesting TV shows out there these days that I'm simply not willing to waste time with a mediocre TV show on the off chance that it might get better after X episodes or that it might get better with Season 2. That is the reason why I never bothered to watch Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D..

I hope Littlefinger does more next season. He started out as this machiavellian figure who set all the events in motion and seemed to have a hand in everything that is going on in Westeros but in the last season he almost seemed like a background character.

Is she that strong though? Garnet beat her in a 1-on-1 fight and the gem that ended up poofing her wasn't even a Crystal gem. It was Peridot. I think it would've been easy to subdue her with a 3-on-1 advantage. It just seems irresponsible to not poof and bubble her even if she isn't corrupted. She is a danger to humans and other gems. It's obvious that they can't turn her like they did with Peridot. And Rose did poof/bubble Bismuth. It just seems to me that the risk of letting Jasper run free far outweighs the ethical issue of poofing/bubbling a non-corrupted gem. And Lapis ordeal of being fused with Jasper trapped in the sea could've been avoided. Edit: And what is the deal with Onion? I'm probably supposed to find his antics funny but he really creeps me out.

So apparently they made Taken into a TV show. So far I'm not impressed.

So after getting caught up with Adventure time I decided to finally give this a try to see what the fuss is all about. I'm now halfway through season 3 and it's amazing! My favorite Gem so far is Peridot ("YOU CLOD!"). But I have one question regarding Jesper: Why didn't the crystal gems turn her into a gem when her spaceship crashed? They outnumbered her 3-to-1 and Jesper basically attmited that she could only defeat them if the was fused. Why didn't they rush her and turn her into a gem? Why give her the opportunity to grab Lapis Lazuli and talk her into fusing with her? Lapis whole ordeal seems so unnecessary because it could've been avoided. Or is that just something they do to corrupted gems?

I watched Logan a few days ago and it blew me away. If you are a fan of the franchise you have to watch this movie. Unless you're squeamish about violence. This definitely isn't a movie for kids.

But it made absolutely no sense from a narrative standpoint! The main conflict of the series has been the fight of Shepard against the Reapers. Then in the last 15 minutes of the game the writers suddenly pull an entirely new conflict out of their asses that, as Bobfoc put it, was completely at odds with all that had come before it. And the logic of the Space Magic Kid made no sense as well. So every time a civilization manages to create synthetic life, it always ends up revolting against it's ceators. To stop that circle of destruction we'll have to wipe out that civilization along with every other civilization. 1. That's like telling your SO that you love them end never want them to get hurt and to guarantee that you will cause a nuclear holocaust to wipe out humanity. 2. They stop an endless circle of destruction by creating another endless circle of destruction. This doesn't solve the problem. It only creates more problems! 2. In my playthrough I have proven that this conflict can be solved. That there can be peace between synthetic lifeforms and their creators. I got bot Geth and Quarians on my side. Not only that, I encouraged the pilot of my ship to have a relationship with a synthetic lifeform. But apparently that counts for nothing. That is what I mean when I say my choices don't count. I've destroyed the entire hypothesis that led to the creation of the Reapers. But it doesn't matter. I know they couldn't have taken every action I've made every game into account when writing the ending. But if the main antagonist of the game tells me that I have no choice but to play by it's rules because of reasons but I can prove him wrong I at least want the option to bring that up. It's a bad ending. The outrage that it cause was WAY too over the top and nobody deserves to get death threats, or any kind of threats for that matter, because of it. But it is nevertheless a bad ending.

Do you think the Mass Effect 3 ending would've been better received if the extended cut was the was the normal ending instead of being a DLC? The choices we made throughout the 3 games still wouldn't have mattered, the motivation of the Reapers and the logic of the genocidal Deus Ex Machina holograph kid still would've made no sense and you still only have the 3 recoloured cut scenes but at least we get to know that the non-human species aren't fucked after the Mass Relays get destroyed. We learn a bit more about what happened to civilization after we made our choice. It's not much but it's something.

if you played multiplayer and you got readiness to 100% you got an extra scene after the regular ending. You see the rubble of what supposedly is earth. In the rubble you see the body of someone with heavily damaged armor and an N7 tag who appears to be dead. Suddenly that person inhales sharply. It is never explicitly stated who that person is but most fans just figured that it is supposed to be Shepard who somehow survived. Other than that there were no changes. Everyone is still fucked as the Mass Relays still get destroyed. That is if you haven't installed the extended cut of the ending. I have no idea if the galactic readiness level affects the extended cut.
