  1. I would totally be down for that. Or maybe even better, try to make a new Spyro game. The last Spyro game (not counting the Skylanders crap) was released in November of 2008. I think that is long enough for people to forget how mediocre these games were and start fresh.
  2. I've checked out the mods that are available on the PS4 so far and it's very disappointing. Apparently Sony doesn't allow people to use any assets or resources that aren't part of the main game which is limiting to say the least. There is some nice stuff there but nothing that I would say is essential other than maybe the mod that unlocks the classical radio station that disappears if you don't side with the Institute. I hope that they'll eventually relax the rules a bit because if they don't mods on the PS4 will be pretty much useless.
  3. I have exactely the same concerns with this. The Last Of Us was so good and they really have to bring their a-game. Same goes for Rockstar with RDR 2. What I'm most exited for is how Ellie is going to react when it is revealed to her that Joel basically screwed over humanity just to save her life. That is going to be intense.
  4. Does anybody know when the hd-rereleases of the original trilogy will be released? Surly they're going to do this, right? I mean re-releases seem to be a big thing now. So far we've seen the Uncharted Series, God Of War 3, the first 2 Arkham Games, the BIoshock Series and even Resident Evil 4 for the PS4. And with EA always looking to make a buck they just have to re-release these games eventually, right?
  5. Holy fucking shit this episode!
  6. So Rainbow has released a live album made up of the two Germany gigs earlier this month. It's called "Memories in Rock - Live in Germany". I still don't get why they didn't record the UK gig since according to concert goers that was the best gig of the three. Be that as it may, here are some live clips from the gig and they are not good. Spotlight Kid: Man On The Silver Mountain: Perfect Strangers (Deep Purple): Black NIght (Deep Purple) So let's start with the positives: I think Ronnie Romero did a good job. He is a talented singer. And Jens Johansson is good as well although that was to be expected. The man is a wizard behind the keys. The set-up sure looks nice. And that is about all the compliments I can muster up. The sound is terrible. The guitars are way to quite and don't pack any punch. That is especially noticable in "Spotlight Kid" which is supposed to be a fast, energetic song in the vein of burn. It just sounds powerless here. I know Blackmore is 71 years old and you have to take that into account when watching these videos but I can't help but be disappointed watching this. I thought they could maybe they could touch that up in the studio. But they didn't. So I guess the one thing you can take away from this is that they are an honest band. The rhythm section sounds powerless as well. The setlist is okay. You have the big Rainbow hits. But too much Deep Purple if you ask me. And I'm disappointed about the lack of Graham Bonnet-era Songs. The only thing they play from that time is "Since You Been Gone" and that wasn't even written by the band. If you want to listen to Rainbow in their prime there are several recordings of the Band with Dio from the 70s. Most notably "On Stage", "Live in Germany 1976" and any of the Live records released in 2006. Recently they also released live albums from the band's time with Graham Bonnet ("Monsters Of Rock - Live At Donnington 1980", "Down To Earth Tour 1979" three disc set), Joe Lynn Turner ("Boston 1981", "The Ritchie Blackmore Story" DVD set. DVD 1 is a documentary and DVD 2 is "Live In Tokyo 1984") and even the short-lived reunion in the mid 90s with Doogie White ("Black Masquerade"). I reckon you'll get more out of those than you'll get out of the new live album
  7. I've looked it up on GameFAQs and Reddit. Apparently there are quite a lot minor changes. You get 2 new social links, some night time interactions, the new area, some scenes are voiced that weren't voiced on PS2. I'm still looking forward to P4 but I hope that they'll eventually re-release the golden version. And I've started to play the first Persona. Didn't pay attention when that one guy told me in which direction the hospital was and got immediately lost because the entire damn town looks the same.
  8. It's fun. Hacking works much better in this and you can actually finish this game without killing somone whereas in the first game hacking was something cool to have but in the end it was always more convenient to just Rambo your way through every mission. The characters (lead and supporting characters) are all likeable and it's fun listening to the back and forth. And most importantly the game doesn't take itself so damn serious like it's predecessor did. Minor side-mission spoilers:
  9. So I'm getting Persona 3 and 4 for the PS2 for Christmas. I was toying with the idea to get P4 Golden but I'm not buying a handheld just for that. I'll just hope that I wont miss out too much.
  10. From the french movie La Haine. It's a slight variation of one of the first line of the movie where it's about a man that fell of a skyscraper. I've always loved that line. And that movie as a whole.
  11. Do they really need 11 months to prepare for 1 tour? This isn't like Michael Jackson't "This is It" where they have a big production with different sets, dancers, choreographies and everything. My guess is that it'll be like any other Helloween gig just that it will be 3 hours long and 5 guys instead of 7. Which is cool in my book. An for all fans of Italian Epic Power Metal: Apparently there is another version of Rhapsody Of Fire now simply called "Rhapsody". Current "Luca Turilli's Rhapsody" members Luca Turilli himself, bassist Patrice Guers and rhythm guitarist Dominique Leurquin (all of them have been members of the original Rhapsody) have reunited with former Rhapsody Of Fire members vocalist Fabio Lione and drummer Alex Holzwarth to play songs from the first few albums of Rhapsody. In particular they are going to play the band's 2nd album "Symphony Of Enchanted Lands" in its entirety. The whole thing will be called "20th Anniversary Farwell Tour" and they will simply refer to themselves as "Rhapsody" without the "on Fire" suffix or the "Luca Turilli's" prefix. Source: Blabbermouth.net This whole thing is funny because from the 5 musicians listed above only 2 actually played on the first 3 records of the band. That would be Luca Turilli and Fabio Lione. I know you could argue that the guys in the rhythm section of Rhapsody have always been replacable so it doesn't really matter who is on bass and drums. And I suppose you're right. The most important members of Rhapsody have always been Lione, Turilli and Staropoli. Which brings us to the main problem: Staropoli isn't involved. You can't really do a proper farewell tour for a band if one of it's key members is not going to be involved in it. It's like having an Iron Maiden farewell tour without Steve Harris.

  16. Statement from Dennis Ward's Facebook page about the future of Unisonic (the band featuring Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske): So no new Unisonic album before 2019 and the band may or may not be done. I assume no new Helloween or Gamma Ray records as well. That is frustrating. Edit: An official Statement from the Unisonic Facebook page: So they are not done. But still no new album before 2019.
  17. Hellraiser

    Tropes

Every time when a scientific achievement is made that could radically alter humanity or some kind of ancient magical artifact is found that could grant us unimaginable powers there is some character or some faction that tries to destroy that thing because "humanity isn't ready for this yet" or" the potential for this to be abused is too big". That annoys me greatly. Who the fuck are you to decide that for the rest of humanity? They did that in the latest Tomb Raider game.
  18. It's about time this show get's his own thread. I haven't been that intrigued by a tv show in a while. Even Game Of Thrones didn't manage to have me that on edge for new episodes as this show has. Also great acting all around. Especially Anthony Hopkins is absolutely killing it. Big spoilers for episode 7: Spoilers for episode 6 and speculations:
