  1. I think the booking was harsh, but nowhere near as bad as TNT are making out. If you're on a booking you don't make silly fouls when teams are breaking, and I suppose the fact Elliott(?) eventually plays the ball from the floor means the attack hasn't quite been stopped, but still a daft foul to make.
  2. More good VARing. Hope MOTD do a video package.
  3. I thought that was a good VAR intervention, exactly what it's supposed to be for. Can understand the ref missing it, and the initial bump is fine within what physicality is allowed, it's only once the trip on the right leg comes in that it's a foul. Agree though, if Hughes is savvy and just pokes it through with his left he probably gets an assist.
  4. Me, who was secretly happy that Matip got injured so Konate would definitely play is now sad.
  5. Brighton 3 vs. 0 Burnley (Sat 3pm) Wolves 2 vs. 1 Nottm Forest (Sat 3pm) Aston Villa 2 vs 1 Arsenal (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Everton 1 vs. 1 Chelsea (Sun 2pm) Tottenham 0 vs. 1 Newcastle (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
  6. Sega going full retro. New Jet Set Radio would be lovely thanks.
  7. We're shit away generally, but given we've played the same 11 (bar Pope today) 4 or 5 games on the bounce with barely a sub we weaken as games go. If we aren't leading on the hour we're fucked. Good job we've got no one coming back in and only Spurs and Milan in the next 6 days.
  8. I've never wanted a completely unjustified 10 minutes injury time less than this.
  9. Genuinely tempted on the absurdly improbable chance of getting a Sunderland ticket (allocation will be tiny) to go to Boro v Villa too just for the convenient kickoff times.

    Doctor Who

I think I'd have preferred actual Thunderbirds puppets.
  11. It's just ABBA again but with shitter songs and no Little Boots.
  12. Video removed of course and the still image says nothing, but even a load of the responses say it's different. Football twitter is so shit.
  13. I must have picked that up subconsciously...
  14. There's something about that haircut that gives him very "90s depiction of dystopia future cyborg" energy. Just imagine a couple of strands of hair are coloured wires.
  15. So let's put aside two bits 1. Yes Haaland should score 2. Yes, Man City shouldn't surround the ref. Haaland was booked, who knows whether they'll be charged further, but it often doesn't happen. But the bolded bit is a nonsense. The ref is able to play advantage for a reasonable amount of time before calling it back, the whole point of the law is to allow time for play to develop and for the ref to still be able to bring it back. Haaland is back up, so there's no danger of injury or a potential red card, so there's no reason at all for the ref to rush his decision, and especially not to guess that Grealish isn't getting it. The ref doesn't have to play advantage ever, but it's in the laws of the game so it'd be a pretty big statement to just ignore it. Hell, half the time the argument is the other way, where refs play advantage after a foul on the edge of the box, to rush a free kick decision in that position is just silly. I don't think there's any corruption involved, I just think it's a very poor decision which he apologises for immediately afterwards.
  16. It's an absolute stinker. I could understand if he blew up immediately before Haaland gets back up, bit to wait until he's played the ball is shocking. The potential offside is a complete red herring too, under the current guidance the liner wouldn't even have flagged as it was that tight. Ask any Man City player, coach or fan if they'd rather have a free kick in their own half or Grealish through on goal and you wouldn't find one who picked the former.
  17. I did that big couple of paragraphs review of Chelsea last week. This week I'll just go with Man Utd are shite.
  18. No point in stadium guides, the only people with any tickets are bots...
  19. Can't understand why they left it so late, could see even on tv it was hopeless. Fair play to Alex Scott for some panicky filler questions to the Walsall manager.
  20. Arsenal. Should have picked them three weeks ago. This time they'll lose.
  21. Brentford 2 vs. 0 Luton (Sat 3pm) Burnley 1 vs. 2 Sheff Utd (Sat 3pm) Newcastle 3 vs. 0 Man Utd (Sat 8pm, TNT) West Ham 2 vs. 1 Crystal Palace (Sun 2pm, Sky) Man City 2 vs. 0 Tottenham (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
