  1. Well whoop-de-fucking do, Paul Konchesky. I look forward to the Championship in a few years time then.
  2. A proper Sonic and Mario cross over would probably cause my childhood-self to explode with want for it. He does kinda jump a little when I see new Zelda games.
  3. Feckin' Haifa I knew they'd be our downfall. 3-1 deafeat at home. 2-0 down at half time, we came back strong got 1 back and then conceded a late late third. Unless we beat them 3-0 at home we're heading out of the Champions League and into the Europa League first round. EDIT: We beat them 2-1 in the away leg but that late third goal the first leg that killed is. 4-3 on agg. loss!
  4. I am Torgo I look after the place while the master is away...

  5. I only saw the last 30 mins of that match. And... "N'Gog and Torres? Up front? Together? What?" was reaction #2 after "Oh we're losing, I expected that". Honestly, I don't expect much this season. Nor do I expect Hodgson to last very long, no more than a season maybe two, I get the feeling if a buyer is found he'll be out of a job. I kinda feel bad that after being a Liverpool fan since I was about three years old, I'm bordering between sorrow and apathy over what I see. My expectations are that it's going to be worse than last year and that will continue as long as club remains as it is now.

  7. That reminds me actually, Chris Smalling is now angry at me for not allowing him to talk to Southampton (I actually declared a value of 1million for him being as he is my first choice CB and they rejected it). Roy O'Donovan is worried about competition for places (after my previous binge of MF buying) and Ronan Murray is worried about not getting first team football, but he's on loan. I feel I may have to let some more people go at the end of the season.
  8. 15 games in to the season (this custom Irish league has only 26 games in the League of Ireland Premier League season) and with 11 games to go we're unbeaten in the league all season. After getting through 5-2 on aggregate against Maribor (winning 5-0 at home and losing 2-0 away) in the second round of qualifiers for the CL we're in round three facing Maccabi Haifa. We're at least guaranteed to play in the Europa League first round it seems as a result (the Champions League qualifiers are more complex than I remember them being).
  9. Conversely, Cole is probably a better midfielder than Gerrard. What they've lacked since losing Alonso is a player who can transition defense from attack. Masch and Lucas aren't that. Aquilani was bought for that. Gerrard, won't do that because Gerrard is a moany git when played 'out of position'. Cole, I dunno, probably can do that. But I don't know him as well as I know other Liverpool players tbh.
  10. I would also like to build a new stadium, Claremount Stadium where Parkvilla play is only 2000 capacity our attendances are creeping up so maybe eventually we will. Although in the Irish league you're just as likely to attract 2000 for one game and 500 for the next I've only ever had one stadium move ever in my time playing FM when I was Miami FC manager on FM07 and I left just before that one completed.
  11. My mid-season tranfers have been fun: In: Jay Tabb (free, Fulham) Rory Delap (free, Stoke) John-Joe O'Toole (free, Watford) Rudimer (2.8 million from Internacional) Bradley Wright-Phillips (unattached) Out: Joeseph Ndo Steve Finnan Aiden O'Keefee Brian Kearney Craig Sives Soon to be out: Rafael Cretaro Callum Davinport Somehow I have sold defenders and bought shitloads of midfielders when I went out looking for a new keeper
  12. When I read the BBC news article on that I did almost literally do a head-desk type action. It was going to be hard to keep Masch since he's wanted to leave for ages but now after Rafa built up a team with some top quality players we're now going back to Houllier-esque levels of mediocrity only this time it's going to be mediocre English players not French ones.
  13. We let him go but don't worry lads we're keeping Jonjo Shelvey!

  15. Pumaman, he flies like a moron!

  16. I signed a pretty neat little Belorussian who has played really well since he signed for 55k. Cillian Sheridan wants to leave, and I've sold Steve Finnan because I don't want to have to pay both him and Daryl Murphy loads plus Finnan is old and I find him slow and annoying. Also in a hilarious turn I keep getting linked with EVERY JOB EVER. Even Real Madrid.
  17. Today I'm lazy and I hate giraffes.

  18. Well if Spurs started actually playing they could get a goal but they've been shit.
  19. Looking at the stats you posted Hammy, things are going to form.
  20. There seem to be Twitter rumblings about Edgar Davids going to Crystal Palace.
  21. Liverpool have apparently sealed the Brad Jones deal. I'm assuming he'll be third choice behind Cavelieri.
  22. Once Giggs is done I will be able to afford him the fondness I view Schmeichel, Cantona, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ... and Jordi Cryuff.. But only once he retires, thems the rules.
  23. It is? I actually don't think I've ever seen it happening. Then again there are a few things in FM that I've heard of but never seen in game while I've been playing.
  24. After asking a question about Spurs and CL seedings etc and stok linking to the UEFA coefficient table it got me into thinking. It would seem plausible to me that the dynamic leagues function in this years FM would mean that it would be possible for coefficients (which are in the game aren't they?) to go up with clubs performing better in Europe which might mean that leagues could gain and lose European places?
