  1. Had my first hacker a bit ago. I thought it was part of a mission at first. Ended up finding the person, then I tried hacking someone myself. Only made it to 37% before they pulled me from the car and shot me as I ran. Surprised they didn't spot me sooner as I parked crooked on the side of the road right next to the store they were in. Just finished the Open Your World mission and I had 30 skill points to spend. They went by pretty quickly, but I like the stuff I have to use now.
  2. All right, if I hop on again tonight I need to do the actual story missions. I ended up getting sidetracked with hot spots and collectibles. Luckily there doesn't seem to be an achievement for being a mayor at a hot spot, because I've yet to do that. On the plus side, two or three of the areas have all hot spots and collectibles (minues QR codes) collected
  3. I'm actually considering trading GTA V in if Heists aren't that great when they're released. I end up playing with the same person and we end up doing the same shit, fucking around, and while it's fun it's getting too repetitive. Maybe I'll see about actually joining you 360 guys again sometime soon.
  4. Just noticed that, when viewing the map, the buildings are actually 3D models when you start zooming in. Feel a bit slow just noticing, unless nobody else has
  5. Ah. I should probably quit fucking around then But I just played Spider-Tank and it was more awesome than it already sounded.
  6. How do you do the tutorial or whatever for Online Contracts? It says I need to complete the tutorial before actually doing them.
  7. I did the carpark one this morning. Was pretty good. I managed to take down a few guys on the first floor, then got the guys on the second distracted, managed to take out the target, and then run off and avoided the other guys. Looking forward to doing more of those.
  8. I don't think it really stops them long. I've shot people in the leg and it seems to make them stumble or fall, but they end up running off like normal a couple of seconds later.
  9. If a criminal gets too far and I don't feel like chasing I end up using the pistol. I managed to explode one of the things in the ground and kill one of the guys. Sometimes I try to switch the traffic lights to make the guy running away get hit or somehow slow him down. Can't say it's worked yet.
  10. Have another area unlocked as far as having the towers able to be hacked. I really like the little districts having the one main ctOS area that requires you to get past the enemies in order to unlock the towers. Ended up unlocking the SVU sniper I believe from one of them.
  11. Just unlocked one of the ctOS things. Pretty fun to just sit behind a dumpster and try to hack stuff through the cameras. Ended up putting some protectors up on top of a roof, snuck up there, and just shot the guys in the area. Also, how do you sell stuff at a pawn shop? I only have options to buy things.
  12. Stopping the police is pretty fun. I've managed to have them crash into the blockers a few times, ended up getting an achievement somehow when I came to a gate, and put a bridge up. Unfortunately the bridge didn't stop the police, but I rounded back and did the jump over it, parked the car and hid to escape them. I do like the little yellow circles that pop up before you become wanted. I imagine it actually gives you a chance to avoid the police all together, but I haven't managed to make it outside of one yet. The driving just takes some getting used to, since the only driving I've really done the past few months has been GTA (and now Saints Row The Third the past week).
  13. Getting away from cops can be tricky, especially if you're in a vehicle. I'm not sure if you actually need to be really far out of their range to hide, or if you can turn a corner, hide in the car and be good as they pass by a few seconds later. I did one digital trip... Whatever the first one is (driving around with a soul meter or something). Seems interesting.
  14. Yep, ended up just going around hacking and doing some random crime stuff. Stopped a few guys from robbing or shooting someone and one from trying to burn down a gas station. Found a couple of the mini games that were pretty nice. I'll assume at least one achievement is tied to those. Seems pretty fun thus far, but I'm still not too big a fan of the driving yet. I actually forgot I had a pistol on me as well.
  15. I see what people mean by the driving. Definitely going to take some getting used to. I only did the tutorial bit where you have to drive away (ended up crashing a lot and exploding; found a crate to go into to raise it up and hide, but the cops were right there ). Did the small side thing where you have to prevent a crime, then I stopped for the time being. I'm looking forward to playing it a bit more and eventually hacking another player to see how that goes.
  16. Understandable then. Hopefully Ubisoft servers aren't wonky or anything. I was having some issue loading tracks to play in Trials Fusion the other day because of something to do with the Ubisoft servers. Anyways, I have the game and will probably pop it in after lunch in a short bit.
  17. Yeah, I've never understood the hate for Uplay. If you have an account you just sign in and can get some small rewards with the points. It's never been anything more for me than some option on the main menu, but I don't know if it's any more intrusive for people who haven't signed up for it.
  18. Luckily the graphics looking older gen won't matter to me. With my eyes and using the AV cable instead of an HDMI, I probably wouldn't be able to notice anyway I should be picking mine up in a couple hours, once the store opens up. Thinking of getting L.A. Noire again as well since it's only about $7-8 used...
  19. I have it for 360 but haven't really played it much for a while now. Only three friends I know have it, and one of them hates it, the other doesn't really play games as much anymore, and the last one has been burnt out on it for many months. Not as fun playing alone unless I'm trying to build something, but really no point to build stuff if nobody else will see it.
  20. Due to not knowing shit about computers yet being paranoid about everything, what exactly are bitcoin miners?
  21. People who received the game early are actually streaming on Twitch, so that might be a decent way of looking into that sort of stuff (if you don't mind possible spoilers). Or Jason can post the reply
  22. The only thing that has disappointed me with Ubisoft is their need for season passes with all their games, or at least the price for them. I might still not be over the Assassin's Creed III season pass, which was interesting but I thought wasn't worth it after playing it. Now I am hoping Watch Dogs doesn't become a game that I regret buying, though.
  23. I'll be getting it for the 360. The only game I'm really looking forward to thus far for the year. Destiny I need to play the beta. I'm sure it'll be pretty good, but I'm still hesitant. Other than that it's the Pokemon remakes later this year. From what I've seen the game looks really good and fun. It's Ubisoft and I've enjoyed the Assassin's Creed games and Far Cry 3, so I trust this will be good.
  24. Is there some special way that someone has to destroy your car in order for them to pay for the recovery costs? I was in a public session earlier and some asshole kept driving around killing me and destroying my car (sticky bombs and just shooting it up), and not once did it say that they paid for it. I blew up his car once and I had to pay for it.
  25. I really liked it when I tried it out as Michael. Same with the.... new super that I can't remember the name of. It's the holes on the back of that one that make me not want it, though. I've already managed to almost get stuck in the Turismo and I haven't even lowered it at all
