  1. Is there anyone who plays D&D and also watches The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra? For my Avatar campaign I want to have the Pro Bending from Korra be something the players can participate in in a way, but I'm not too sure how to actually have the mechanics work. I was originally thinking of having the attacking creature and the defending creature roll 5d6 and having it work similar to Shadowrun, where the difference between successes is the number of squares that the defending creature is pushed (assuming the attacking creature rolls more successes). Then I was thinking of adding in a d20 attack roll to see if they actually hit first. Any suggestions?
  2. I want to try playing a Paladin to see how it is. My first class was an Invoker and I couldn't get into it, but I also want to try that again now that I have more of an idea what I'm doing. But I also want to play a Dragonborn Warlord... I need to find a good group on that Roll20 site for an online campaign
  3. Assuming it won't be that different for the 360 version, have you tried the campaign multiplayer mode at all? Wondering how that works out, like if you don't defeat the opponents do you have to redo the mission or what.
  4. In about two weeks I'll be DMing my Avatar campaign (finalizing characters and powers next week), and I'm looking into getting a blank game mat. I really can't find a large drawing pad that I could use for making custom maps and I also don't feel like having to draw up the 1" squares every time. There are three that I'm looking at and they all seem good; one is a Gamemastery Flipmat by Paizo, another is basically just white laminated paper I believe, and the final one is a Chessex battlemat, which is apparently pretty durable. All three can be drawn on which is a big plus for me. Anyone ever used a game mat that could offer an opinion?
  5. I thought the point of Daryl just pissing right in the open was due to Beth's question about if he had ever been in prison.
  6. I liked Origins (and the story was pretty good), but at the same time I was disappointed that what the trailers showed ended up just being a sideplot more than anything (and one of the assassins ended up being a fucking joke). It looks interesting and using the Batmobile would be interesting, but at the same time I'm not sure about a larger world to play in.
  7. As far as the new cars go (only went into single player to check the cars out), I really like the Jester and will end up replacing either the Fusilade or F620 in Online with it. Just have to decide whether I want it to be bright orange or blue... The Alpha doesn't seem like anything special and the Grotti is nice, but I don't see myself replacing my Entity with it. I could replace my Bodhi or either the Phoenix or Gauntlet, but I like having them (and might end up just replacing the Phoenix or Gauntlet for a motorcycle). Didn't realize there were new horns, though. EDIT: You can have your crew emblem as a tattoo, though only on your torso or right arm (and both for about $20,000 )
  8. If you want to get one Gen 5 game it'd be worth getting both. I really liked the story from Black/White, and Black 2/White 2 build on it. It depends if you're looking for a game to play the story for or something that has more to do post game than just rebattle the Elite Four at higher levels. The Gen 5 games obviously aren't required, but they make for a pretty good story. To me, anyway. Definitely worth checking out if you can find a good deal. Like JenCode, I would say the Gen 5 games were my best experience with Pokemon games, even compared to X and Y if you exclude the graphical overhaul. Not only that, but anything you catch in Gen 5 you can send to X and Y with Bank (costs only $5 for a year), so having the legendaries moved over isn't a bad idea. EDIT: I will say that when you play X or Y, take your time with the story. I was kind of disappointed in it in my initial play-through, but reading back on it it actually seems a lot better than I thought (though not without flaws).
  9. With Pokemon Bank, though, finding someone who has any of those won't be difficult.
  10. I guess it really comes down to what legendary you think is better or cooler, and if there are any Pokemon or Mega Stones you'd want. Here's a list ov exclusives: http://www.serebii.net/xy/exclusives.shtml I got X mainly because my friend was getting Y, but when they revealed the Mega Evolutions for Charizard I was dead set on X and would have gotten it even if said friend decided to get X.
  11. I don't know if it's tough for me to get into unedited videos or if it's just the person/people doing them. Someone I know makes (or made) videos and I could never get into them because they were hour long, unedited videos where patches of him being silent were abundant, and he just wasn't entertaining. The Game Grumps videos are hard for me to get into as well because, while they are always talking, it can get kind of boring for me to see them do stuff that I don't care to see. I've been watching their latest Pokemon Firered videos and I've found them pretty entertaining, but I still wish they would cut out the parts where they're just grinding to raise levels, especially when I didn't really care too much at times for what they were talking about.
  12. I've seen bits of it. Haven't actually sat around to watch it for extensive periods of time, but I've seen posts about it on Tumblr and how the people ended up releasing Charmeleon. This system where the number of commands are tallied to see which one is chosen is new.
  13. Might anyone have a spare Houndoominite that they'd want to trade for a Manectite? EDIT: Nevermind. Should be getting one from someone
  14. Hm. I'll have to try it out in single player. I did that with the Roosevelt and it actually made me buy it in Online after being so iffy about it. Ended up replacing my Granger with it since it can have the people hanging off the side. I have to say that I like that the Coveted mission pays out $18,000 on the hard difficulty now, but really dislike that they took out the "press X for quick replay" thing. Since you can just go right back into the mission immediately after through the jobs menu, I'm not sure what the point was other than making it more tedious for people to farm missions.
  15. I will take the apology, even thought I can't blame you for it
  16. Ah, yeah. Was hoping it would have Moxie.
  17. Is the gun with the Valentines pack worth getting? It doesn't seem any better than the Combat MG and the only way I could see it be worth buying is if it costs less.
  18. What ability does the Pyroar have? And if nobody else offers to take any of the legendaries, or if nobody posts before you decide to start your new game, I could take them off your hands and then hold onto them in case anyone does offer. Slash keep them for myself as spares if enough time passes by
  19. Diancie has been officially revealed. According to the description on the Pokemon site, "Diancie is an extremely rare Pokémon, created when Carbink undergoes a strange mutation." Kind of glad it's connected to Carbink in some way. No date for when it'll be available other than "details at a later date."
  20. Finished doing a second run-through in Black 2 yesterday to get some more spare legendaries in X. Basically just ran through the game using only Tepig, with Magnemite in my second slot during multi battles. Finished the game with a level 89 Emboar and about a level 40 Magnezone (and four others for HM moves). Really contemplating doing another run-through in X, just to get some more spare legendaries and also so I could get the X exclusive stones to exchange with the Y exclusive ones with a friend. Really not sure if I want to since it would mean getting all the items again and losing my Poke Miles/Battle Points.
  21. Depends if you care what the exclusives are to both. Here's a list of Pokemon and Mega Stone exclusives: http://www.ign.com/wikis/pokemon-x-y/Pokemon_X_and_Y_Version_Differences Other than that... I guess it just depends on if you'd rather have a version that less people you know have.
  22. Does anyone happen to have a spare Suicune, Kyogre, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Latias, or Shaymin? Those are the only legendaries I'm missing from actually having. I've got Dex data for them, but mostly anyone who is offering them on the GTS has stuff I don't have a spare of or are asking for event only things, which can't actually be traded over the GTS. Only have a spare Giratina (foreign), Celebi, Cobalion, Terakion, Virizion, Cresselia (though I'm waiting to hear back from someone about it), Kyurem and Zekrom. If I didn't feel like keeping a few Pokemon in my Black 2 for the move tutor (though I'm slowly becoming less thrilled on the idea with how stupid it is to get shards for the tutors) I would start a new game now so I could get all of the legendaries in there again. I also have an Arceus in my Black 2 if anyone still has that or White 2, but I believe it is hacked since Poke Transporter refused to send it over to Pokemon Bank.
  23. Pokemon Bank is now out for North America. You can probably find the Transporter by searching through the eShop, but I went into Bank after the download was done and there is an option to go back into the eShop to download Transporter. If you press the Start button in the boxes section, you can mass move Pokemon between boxes. If you keep them in the Bank longer, you'll get more Poke Miles I guess. Not too sure how that works yet, though. I chose the 10 Battle Points my first time transferring from the Bank to X, then Celebi I got the second time.
  24. Well, my Avenger died tonight. I had her turn against the party and she died in the lamest way possible. I was going to "retire" her at the end of this campaign in a few weeks anyway (leave the party and fully worship Levistus, who the party was sort of trying to stop in addition to Vecna) to play a new character. Ended up doing it early tonight based on an encounter we had with another follower of Levistus. In hindsight I should have just waited so that my character could have been seen off in a better way. Our Paladin rolled a natural 1 on an attack and I took damage from it, I ended up getting a crit on our Paladin but our Cleric used a power that nullified the crit and made me take half the damage (32), I took damage from a bomb, and then I stabbed myself to -3 HP. Now I'm trying to decide between Warforged Wizard, Elf Swordmage, or Longtooth Shifter Ranger (melee based). Leaning more towards the first two, since I haven't really played a good controller or a defender.
  25. Wouldn't mind the non-mega stones if nobody else needs any of them. Think I have all the TMs available in the game (aside from ones bought with BP), but I'll have to check at some point.
