  1. I've made it to day 8 in Papers, Please and everyone in my family is hungry and cold, and my son is sick. Fuck this game
  2. Definitely a game that is more fun with people you know/sort of know than anything. I played with some guys from here a couple of times and it was pretty fun, though that was months ago I think. I mainly remember doing a race (might have been the race where two people are in a car) and I remember getting blasted by the car rockets over and over or something. Maybe one of these days I'll hop on with some EWBers again while I still have it.
  3. Though really it was just an excuse to post a picture of a kitten. EDIT: A four pack of Castle Crashers is tempting. I loved it on Xbox and haven't played it in forever, and I think my computer would handle it... Cursed deal.
  4. Cheap games They all seem fun, though. I guess it depends if Shadowrun has enough decent user created content to play after finishing the actual game. If not, Papers Please seems like something I'd be able to just throw on if I'm bored enough.
  5. So, is Shadowrun, Papers Please, or Monaco a better buy in terms of game play?
  6. Currently have $2.98 in my Steam account from previous cards I've sold and the one I sold this morning. The Monaco game looks pretty fun from a little gameplay I watched, as does that Papers, Please game. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything solely because I'm not sure what Steam can offer that both is something I want and something my computer can handle. The damn prices being so low are far too tempting, and I'm pretty sure Papers Please and/or Monaco won't clog down my computer. Stupid Steam sales.
  7. Ordered a set of all five Song of Ice and Fire books. I think I'll still have trouble keeping track of stuff despite watching the show.

It's pretty easy to keep up until the last two books, when there's a bit of a new character dump.

  8. I was told yesterday from a friend that heard from a friend that heists were being delayed. Honestly, I'm just trading this game in at this point. It's going to be going on nine months in a few weeks that heists have been awaited for, and it's just getting annoying and more boring. I haven't even touched the game in a couple of weeks maybe and haven't felt like playing it. Public sessions are where you go to constantly get killed by people, and I really don't find most of the jobs that fun. There's a few that are (the one where one team has to deliver a guy in a limo and the other team has to stop them), but it'd be nice if there were more jobs like Cops and Crooks from IV.
  9. If you've completed the game, go into Lumiose Station.
  10. Yeah, I'd imagine you should still be able to transfer over. Granted, it is tedious to do so in B/W 1 since you have to move Pokemon one by one to the first PC box, and it requires a lot of switching cartridges, but it doesn't actually use the Wi-Fi in the Gen V games as far as I know.
  11. One sign I hacked said: "Badger badger badger badger" And yeah, it seems like Ubisoft has really long credits.
  12. Enjoying the roaming encounters where it automatically runs away?
  13. I've got Armageddon and it's pretty fun. Been playing it a bit more lately due to boredom with GTA.
  14. I love the game, despite the story being okay, and I'm not upset that I paid full price for it, but waiting until September definitely won't hurt you, especially since there will be the inevitable price drop.
  15. Finished the story yesterday. Overall it was okay. I think it serves better as a set up for sequels than anything. Glad that the final gang hideout unlocked after the credits. Still need one song from the song sneak thing, then I think the only achievements I'm missing are the cop ones and then the few online ones.
  16. Yeah, I really haven't used the sniper that much (and if I have, it's usually the one that only holds two rounds at a time to destroy shit). I prefer the silenced Goblin I think (or whatever the silenced rifle is). If I get caught, I switch to the LMG and go to town, or the grenade launcher. Hoping that there might be more customization for guns in the next one, or at the least a silenced sniper.
  17. Hopped on earlier to do a quick mission, and as I was running to the marker I heard two NPC's get into an accident and they were arguing about it afterwards. Neat little thing I thought.
  18. Yeah, a few times doing the convoys I've had people attempt to call the police. Most of the times I used a jam coms to stop them, but other times I was too busy trying not to die that the police end up joining the fray. So I may be on the prison mission some of you mentioned. The correctional facility thing? Yeah, I'm currently lost
  19. Geez. I have all the side missions off the map for now. Went and did all the ones I've accumulated since getting the game, and I haven't even fully completed any one type yet. I have five more convoys to do, 11 fixer missions, and one gang hideout that is eluding me. Didn't know there was actually a multiplayer freeroam. I though it was just gametypes you could do.
  20. Just did the "Not the pizza man" mission, but fuck those drinking mini games. I made it to level 6 for two of them and keep fucking up at what I assume is the final bit. I do like that they are different, though, with one using the sticks/triggers and the other using button inputs. Makes me wonder what the last drinking mini game is like up in the Pawnee area.
  21. Has anyone done the online tailing, races or mobile challenge thing? I downloaded the app on my iPhone so I may give that a whirl at some point.
  22. Got two of what I imagine will be more of the challenging achievements (minus the escaping the maximum wanted level ones): kill three enemies with an IED and kill four enemies with one focus usage. Also got all the QR codes and ctOS breaches, and pretty much have everything else found or collected, minus other investigations that don't seem to appear on the map. I assume they won't show up until I progress in the story, but I could have sworn there was one that appeared yesterday... Though it might have been one I already got. Had another hacker enter my game, but they were about as stealthy as I was my first time. I was trying to scale a small building for a ctOS breach, and all of a sudden a car is on a pathway trying to get through the metal poles. I get the message that I'm being invaded and instantly tag them.Think I only got like +30 from it.
  23. Well shit. I didn't even realize he could slip the ball around. Tried to do a few online hacks, and only one was completely successful, and that was because the guy was swimming and I ended up getting stuck in some rocks along the shore. Another person tried hacking me while I was in the area, and I ended up finding them around 80% and killed them. A couple of hack attempts I got caught, but escaped. One of them went to a roof. Then a couple of people managed to hack me as I couldn't find them. One of them taunted me by stopping the trains constantly. I assume the yellow circle is where the person actually is, but for the life of me I couldn't find them despite how small the circle got. I want to see if you need to be relatively close to initiate the backdoor, or if you can hack them, go a bit away, then initiate it, because I've been hacking people and initiating them almost immediately.
  24. I'm sure some of the missions would be fun with GTA, but eh. I'm level 100 now, and I still hate how expensive some of the stuff is. I don't really feel like doing a playlist of Coveted sixteen times just to get a couple hundred thousand that will be spent in five minutes. That's why I'm hoping Heists are decent. It's a fun game to screw around in, as I really haven't done any missions other than Coveted or Rooftop Rumble (before the changes) in a long time. The cost of everything, plus dropping ammo when you die (which sucks when I have my grenade launcher equipped as I seem to drop all of the ammo for it) and their little ways to try and get you to spend actual money to gain GTA dollars has been slightly annoying for a while now. It'd be awesome if Watch Dogs had a sort of open world multiplayer, where you and a few friends can just hop into a world and fuck around, but from the footage they showed of multiplayer prior to release it looks like it could be fun. I'm sure this will end up like every Assassin's Creed game where I try to 100% it and then don't really ever touch it again, but this I could see myself popping in if I'm bored just to cause some mayhem with the hacking, plus the Trips minigames look fun.
