    Lion King

I'm going to see it. Anyone been? Good/Bad? What's the venue like? Does it matter where I sit or is it a decent view anywhere? Mufasa better not die or else I'll cry.
  2. They have used Flash to get the effect you're after with the transitioning images. As for the news script, you could use PHPnuke but I have found it to be very clunky and a pain in the arse to modify the skin in a way dramatic enough to make it any different than the 50 billion other PHPnuke websites out there. I have no idea what it is, but try this one. It looks like what you're after. http://www.scriptdungeon.com/script.php?ScriptID=168 If it's not, search google for a free php news script.
  3. If anyone sprayed perfume on me, they wouldn't get anything more than a pound out of me. HAHA A POUND. GET IT? IT'S MONEY, AND ANOTHER WORD FOR A BEATING.
  4. Well done Keith, that's better than The Sims.

I think someone needs a more productive hobby. Wrist slashing would be a good place for them to start.
  6. Give me $3500 for a 3DSM license and I'll think about it.
  7. It would be better if the three boxes showed Guerrero at a different point in his life. Perhaps growing up, going through troubled time and finally achieving success. It's always nice to see a Guerrero tribute though.
  8. I know! And now Maya is pissing me off. I made some better, more suitable textures. It looks alright in Maya. Look. Then I render it and it looks shite.
  9. I made a Volcano in Maya (stfu it's a volcano ) and thought I'd upload it. 3D is cool. I reeeeeally suck at textures though. Big time. If anyone has any tips on that ...? Help in general would be cool. ({) /marsh/volcano.avi">http://www.ewbattleground.com/marsh/volcano.avi
  10. As nobody else was going I threw something together to continue it. I suck at murals though.
  11. I played the game today. A friend bought it so we gave it a whirl. I enjoyed playing the game, but I'm not rushing out to buy the game or anything. There are some nice additions / tweaks to the gameplay which at first seemed confusing (as with this series I'm not used to a dramatic change). I like the momentum bar though and how it only allows you to store one finisher at a time. That's good. I wasn't sure about the stamina bar at first because it seemed like a lot of work and I would keep forgetting about it until my character stops co-operating and I couldn't move. I thought it could perhaps be linked into the momentum meter somehow. It was cool once I got used to it and I like it now, it adds to the experience. It's something else to consider. A few bugs that jumped out at me though and didn't ruin the experience but were very noticable. I saw it mentioned earlier in this thread (I skimmed through so apologies if the rest are mentioned in detail too) but the running / hovering thing is quite comical and it didn't hurt the gameplay because everything continued as normal, just without leg movement animations. Something that was a problem though was during a tag HIAC, me and a friend broke out of the cage and climbed to the top. I put an opponent through the roof of the cage and we fell into the ring. My friend walked over to the hole and got stuck there, as his character started jerking about. It was odd, and he couldn't move. It seemed as though the computer thought he had fallen but the animation didn't co-operate, because the computer enemies went back on top of the cell and didn't attack him at all. I had to run over and hit his character to complete the animation of him falling through the hole. In a ladder match I was trying to walk through/around a ladder that was being climbed so I could be on the other side. I didn't go around or through though, I was mysteriously teleported there. I was impressed that the computer could read my mind like that, but that's probably another bug. Aaaand finally (by far the biggest of the bunch) I was playing a tag cage match and one member of each team was outside the ring (I was going to escape with my team mate, but I'm an idiot and I pressed X instead of Square, and I had to jump back into the cage). Anyway the glitch was that my opponent had knocked me out and started climbing the cage, but luckily they were sucking a cock at the speed minigame thing (which is a nice addition btw) so I had time to wake up and make the save just in the nick of time (as they were escaping over the top). So there was this dramatic thud as I pulled them from the top of the cage and we both tumbled to the canvas. ....didn't we? Somehow we were both teleported outside the ring on opposite sides. I had a wander around the ring then slid under the bottom rope to get back into the ring (because the cage is merely a hologram of some kind - I knew wrestling was fake). Overall, good but will take some getting used to (although those changes are welcome ones). I don't think I'll buy it though. It's not a must buy in my opinion. It's fun, but it's not incredibly different or anything.
  12. I'm just wondering what the benefit of a free game would be when your PS2 doesn't work due to DRE's.
  13. I actually like the background of the Mania splash. It fits with the tagline of where legends are born (as it depicts a location). I assume it's a picture of Chicago.... ?
  14. It's alright, but I visit the website and look around and the first thing I notice is how the rest of the website has a dark blue colour scheme... but this is brown. Huh?
  15. I like it a lot, my only suggestion / critique would be that perhaps there are too many pictures of Batista on the front cover. I would have probably used one dominating cut and centered it. Perhaps if I was dead set on including those other pictures as well I would make them more transparent or something. Good job though, looks nice.
  16. Nickelback. fucking. rocked. (Keith, I phoned round all my friends and their friends and their friends friends trying to get a lift, and when I got one they decided to bring their brother along so there was no point me phoning you to let you know I'll be going after all, because there was no ticket left for you to use. Sorry about that. It was all going to plan until the cock that I was going with phoned me up to cancel because he's too ill to go. Fucking lame.) It was great. Fuck all those Nickelback haters. It was all rock rock rock, mosh mosh mosh, power failure oh noes lets throw beer into the audience to keep them happy while it's fixed, more rock rock rock and one very happy Marsh that would go see Nickelback again in a heartbeat. I had loads of fun and I'm quite pleased the £70's worth of tickets didn't go to waste, even if I had to spend another £20 in petrol money to make sure the former £70 wasn't wasted. Oh and keith, in my attempt to get to london to give you a ticket I spent most of the afternoon going round all the girls at school that I know can drive (most people I know that can drive are girls) and now all of them think I want to date them. you suck. Seriously though I'm sorry for fucking you about. I honestly did have a spare ticket and the plan was to give it to you, but that plan was totally revamped (i.e. it was totally fucked up) this afternoon at the last minute and it left me without any transport and you without anyone to give you a ticket. It sucked, and I'm sorry.
  17. I uploaded this tool before, but here it is again. Play the CD on your computer and record it whilst it's playing through the sound card.
  18. Also, zooming in helps as you can be more precise with your placement and your layer will be less prone to snapping. That's if you don't want to entirely disable snapping.
  19. I'd like it more if: - His shoulder didn't fade into nothingness on the right. - The text was improved (ie. less beveled, download better fonts too) - The picture of Drew McDonald was blended better to look more integrated with the background, so it doesn't stand out as much, or if it does stand out, it maintains the colour scheme of the rest of the background. It's a decent enough start though, just needs some tweaking. (Y)
  20. A friend of mine asked me to make this so I thought I'd post it here too. She wanted it to remind her of the gig we went to, and that's what the text is all about, as well as the somewhat goofy image blended into the background. That was a picture from the gig, I realise it's probably not the most flattering promotional picture ever, and that's because it was snapped at the gig. Space down the left and right for the icons, and the empty space at the bottom is occupied by the taskbar.

  22. My current ones are a bit crap and I want to replace them with something that's capable of pumping out some decent quality. At the moment I'm using headphones because I get better sound quality out of them. Any suggestions? I know nothing about what's cool, what I should be looking for, good value for money or anything. These speakers will be for my computer, and surround sound would be preferable because I want something decent but affordable. I'm not a freak for perfect quality music, but my current setup is absolute rubbish. I want to upgrade it. Thanks, my lovelies.
  23. I use it at school because they are cheap bastards that don't want to shell out for Photoshop and are riding the open source wave pretty hard. I don't think I would ever use it as my primary image handler though.
