5th best bowler in his team by average - in an ODI you should really only be using 5 bowlers, which means he's got the worst average of his starting team, around 38.
3rd highest wicket taker - he's got 8 wickets in 7 games. That's by far impressive, but maybe it reflects the weakness of the Pakistan attack?
ECON rate - Ok, I'll give you that one, 4.62 is a good rate.
My problem is still Afridi's inconsistancy. From what you've said Afridi is a batting all rounder, and a 40+ average is great justification for that. However, in his last 191 ODIs he's averaging under 25.
My point - I agree he should be picked on his form for the next tour, but I wouldn't have picked him on this tour to begin with.
