  1. I think that if Freddie and Harmison can get firing with the new ball and take a couple of early wickets then the whole match is back in England's favour. The whole match seems dependent on the first session tomorrow with the new ball. I think if Australia have a first innings lead we will crumble.
  2. 40 Year Old Virgin - 10/10 Awesomeness.
  3. Someone download the Black & Blue Album, zip it up and put it on RapidShare or something. I can't be bothered to go through all the songs myself. EDIT - I just downloaded 99 Problems With Buddy Holly. At times is sounds really good, but a lot of the time I'm cringing at the sloppy transitions and over filled Jay-Z parts.
  4. I'm surprised Spurs got rid of Zeigler and Edman. I always liked them. I wonder how Georgie Kinkladze V2 will do in the Prem. I think Poom is a solid signing for us. Anything is better than Almunia.
  5. I seriously hate you Dan, because when I saw your avatar it made me think Soul'jah was back. Bastard. I wasn't aware they had a new album in the works, but I liked the past two so I shall check it out.
  6. I also wanted Rangers. We should walk our group. Arsenal have never really faired well playing against teams like Sparta, but I'm sure we can take them.
  7. I'm totally happy with Ajax. We should beat them.
  8. I am also considering going. How much are tickets?
  9. Almost brings a tear to your eye. Maiden are what badass British rock is all about.
  10. Symonds' doesn't actually have a great first class average. They were looking at it during a Lancs game on Sky Sports once and I think he averages just under 40 in First Class, which isn't really good enough. Most of the Aussie's average 50 in Tests, which shows how good they are. Saying that, he's a fantastic fielder and can bowl a bit too, which is why he's always in the One Day side. As for Hoggard, he CAN swing the new ball and is probably England's only swing bowler, but he hasn't really done much with it so far this series. He bowls some good inswingers to Hayden and Langer, but after those opening 15 overs he doesn't really look dangerous. As for Katich I think they should stick with him, mainly because he adds balance to the line up. Hayden, Langer, Ponting to some extend, Clarke, Gilchrist are all stroke makers, whereas Katich and Martyn are the sorts of players who play a little less attacking and can normally stick around when things get tough. Saying that Hussey is an excellent player himself and I don't know why he never got a proper shot, even when nearly scored 2000 runs in England one season IIRC. The thing about the Australian batsmen is that they're not really out of form. No batsman has totally failed this series, they've made some runs and got some starts, but they haven't turned them into big scores. England's bowlers have got to keep that up because our batsmen are in the same boat, but outside of McGrath and Warne we seem to be coping well. If all of Australia's bowler's start to take wickets we'll be in trouble.
  11. I've been pretty disappointed with Hoggard this series so far. Granted he picked up a couple of wicket this match, but he doesn't seem to be doing much. He gets the new ball every time, gets a little bit of swing, maybe gets Hayden out then that's it. He doesn't seem to be troubling the Aussie batsmen. I wouldn't mind seeing Tremlett being given a go since his height would cause problems.
  12. I think it's all up in the air at the moment. First day of the Fourth Test will hold the key. The team who does the best there will take the momentum and have a serious chance of winning the series.
  13. My birthday's coming up and I don't know what to get, so I thought I'd get some new CDs. Haven't bought a new CD in months and am really out of the music scene so I need some recommendations. No specific type of music, I like most stuff, rock, pop, metal, punk, emo, whatever, so if you've heard any good albums recently then post.
  14. So what did everyone think of our performance today? Despite losing I was pretty encouraged. I thought we played some really good football, we looked solid all round the park, Fabregas and Flamini looked good in the middle and Gilberto added that little extra when he came on. Hleb looked pretty decent too, another good signing I think. I thought Henry was quite disappointing. In the final third we didn't have that spark, but hopefully that will come with a few more games under the belt. Looking good for this season though. Also, the atmosphere in the Millenium Stadium is awesome. We were up in the nosebleeds and we had a great view of the match. I recommend it to everyone, even if it's just the Community Shield you're going to see, plus a night out in Cardiff is definately a good 'un.
  15. Me and two of my friends jumped out of our seats and cheered when they finally bowled them out, then had celebrationary morning after Bacon sandwiches.
  16. Got a Poker game tonight, never played it properly before, had to learn the rules Hold 'Em today, but I think I've grasped it now. Any tips/advice/things I should definately know so I don't look like a jackass?
  17. I don't like Pires playing centre mid, I'd prefer Freddie in there. He's more of a battler, plus with Hleb we finally have another right sided midfielder. Also, Pires could always switch to the right. I don't really rate Bentley. He looks like one of those players who dominates The Championship, but I don't think he's a Premiership player, definately not an Arsenal first teamer. He didn't seem to do much at Norwich last season, whereas another up and comer in the same sort of place as Bentley, Keiron Richardson made an impact. I'm not a big fan of Richardson either, but he put in some good performances whilst on loan and there just didn't seem to be the same hype about Bentley.
