  1. For years I've always loved listening to Japanese music. Thought most of the Japanese music I've listened to are either wrestling theme songs (for example, Jushin Liger's NJPW theme) and anime theme songs ("Just Communitcation" and "White Reflection" from Gundam Wing). I'd really like to get into it more. So can someone please recommend me some good Japanese bands, and good Japanese songs.
  2. ep1 My friends are truly insane for making this. It made me sad to watch. I'm definitly the least insane of the bunch. And if for any reason, you may wanna see more... ep2 But first, VIEWER BEWARE!!!
  3. Akira (1988): 9/10 I've wanted to see this for years, and I noticed someone uploaded it all on YouTube, so I took my opertunity to watch it. It lived up the hype all right. I love the complexity of the plot, at times I didn't know what was going on, but for the most part, I got it. The animation looks amazing even by todays standards, and the movies 19 years old. Akira just looks stunning. It's not for everyone however, as it does have a lot of violence (well a lot by American standards, average compared to other Japanese movies I've seen). This ranks as my 2nd favorite Anime movie (#1 being Ninja Scroll).

    The Best Of 2006

I've only heard of like 3 bands you mentioned, maybe 2. And I refuse to think that there were actually 100 good albums in 2006.
  5. Always wanted to use a record player, hell I never in came in contact in one before. I like just playing a CD all way through. That's my favorite way of listening to music. Though at times I'll just listen to a playlist of random songs.
  6. I love RPGs. I played many. I've only ever beaten a few, as I usually don't devote a lot of time into them. The only FF games I ever beat are I and Tactics. Though I'm currently commiting myself to finish II. The amount of time you play a game means nothing. God of War was very short, but very awesome. Super Mario Bros can be beat in like 10 minutes, and it's one of the greatest games of all time. Though I'm not saying long games are bad, some of the best games ever are long. I just find it hard to devote to them for a long period of time.
  7. Army of Darkness: 8/10 Great special effects, full of humour, even more than the first two. Enjoyed the story. Though my only complaint is, that I feel Ash has become too cocky.
  8. I love the solo from Sweet Child O' Mine, but I slightly prefer the one in November Rain.

    Razzie Time!

...Wait a minute, how come Jackass 2 isn't on the list? Clearly that deserves to win worst movie since.....Jackass 1.
  10. In my opinion, that lighthouse scene was amazing. I had to re read many pages just to catch all of the awesomeness. So I'll give my vote to those 5-7 (however many it was) girls. But for main females, Mitsuko. I didn't feel she was potrayed well in the movie (actually, was she even in the movie, I don't recall, if so, she didn't seem to stand out). In the manga she was a superb heel. I loved her backstory.
  11. The girl ruining "Under Pressure" was nothing. "Red" ruining "Bohemian Rhapsody" was 100 times worse. A lot of autions this year scared me. American Idol is really going downhill, seeing as how 90% of the people who tryout only want to make a fool of themselves on TV. And how many times, they make the absolute bad continue on. I hate Paula and Randy as judges. Simon is the only one who should be called a judge. The other 2 just let anyone through. Either way, it's still a "Guilty Pleasure" of mine, and I try to watch every week.
  12. One thing I loved about the BR manga was the amazing job it did at character development. of the 44 odd students, many were well developed. I really like all the characters you mentioned on the list, but my favorites being Hiroki and Kazuo. And the whole several chapters during the "light house scene" with Shuuya being helped by the group of girls (and the aftermath) stands as one of my favorite manga moments ever.

    Razzie Time!

The Wicker Man was the 2nd movie I saw where I considered suicide during the viewing. So please make this the worst film.
  14. The Evil Dead: 8/10 Not as good as 2, obviously, 2 did have a budget 10 times larger. But for the little money this movie it, I was very impressed. Looked like a lot for only 1/3 of a million dollars. The movie adds more suspense that the sequel which is nice, mostly at the beginning. Overall, it's just a fun movie. Once Upon A Time In Mexico: 7.5/10 Never saw the first, but I saw this and Desperado, so I understand the story for the most part. The movie had a cool feeling to it. I loved Johnny Depp's character in this, as well as several others. Reservoir Dogs: 10/10 Just saw it for the first time and it literally blew me away. Much better than Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction which was not what I was expecting. I absolutely loved everything about this movie, the acting, the sequence of the scenes, the characters, the dialogue. No complaints. This is the only movie I ever gave 10/10 with the exception of The Wizard of Oz, so I guess this is my 2nd favorite movie.
  15. Adam Sandler, awesome. I'm a big fan. I loved him in Wedding Singer, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmour, Water Boy, 8 Crazy Nights and Anger Management. Little Nicky, I try to forget that one happened. And Sandler's improving with time. His acting in Punch Drunk Love is supposed to be one of his best performances, never saw it though. I really felt he's improved with dramas, such as Spanglish and Click. I can't wait for his upcoming drama, looks good. Happy about the other 4 making the list also. All good actors here. Leonard Di Caprio was very good in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
  16. Get the DVD version seems the easiest way.
  17. Joe Dirt (7/10) A good nonsense comedy that doesn't take itself seriously. It's entertaining and funny. Spiderman (2002) (8.5/10) One of the top 5 super hero movies I've ever seen. Does a great job at staying faithful to the comic book series. The leading and supporting cast deliver fairly good to great acting performances. For a fairly lengthy movie (2 hours) it doesn't have any boring stretches. Within The Woods (1979) (6/10) A short 30minute movie directed by Sam Raimi a couple years before he made "The Evil Dead". Considered to be the prequel to the series. For what it was, it was entertaining. Only had a couple characters, had a budget of around $1500 and extremely bad quality. Though still a fun movie, that fans of the ED Trilogy should see. It can be found on YouTube.
  18. The Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn (8.5/10) First time seeing a movie of the series. I was amazed at how good a cheesy B movie could be. It has the perfect blend of horror and comedy. Some scenes are hilarious while some may be frightful. Bruce Campbell's acting in this movie is top notch, he made this movie how great it was. This easily ranks among my favorite comedy movies list, AND my favorite horror movies list.
  19. I was expecting Godzilla. So this kinda let me down. Still looks nice though. Quite appealing. Don't really care for the font though.
  20. Hypnotoad is Futurama's greatest character. Nice to see his appearance. Though it's missing the Hair Robot. And the Finglonger looks kinda creepy.
  21. Vendetta was pretty good. Fight For NY was a lot better. As fun as "wrestling + rap" was, "fighting + rap" is better and makes more sense. And I saw a gameplay vid of this on GS, looked pretty sweet. Though I don't own and don't plan on buying a PS3 and 360. Hell, the way my purchases are building up, I probably won't get a current gen console till '08. Though I never have got a console the year it came out. I'm more of a person to play a console until it's surely dead then buy a new one when it has a great game selection (I was still playing SNES actively until like 1999/2000, never got a PSX till around 2001, never got a PS2 till 2003, and XBOX in 2004).
  22. Kinda hard for me to choose. All my favorite bands are mainstream and (for the most part) globally well known. If I had to choose, I guess I'd choose Great Big Sea. They're extremely popular in NL, and semi-popular in Canada, but It'd be nice to see them world-wide popular. They're great musicians.
  23. It's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
  24. Do an acoustic version of the entire "Gada Di Vida" (Garden of Eden).
